Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

SPOILER!!

If you want to know some of whom will be returning next year, the safe one's, this is from Kristin on eonline: (highlight)

Four Characters End the Season "in Peril": This is what the cast told me today, and I think "peril" is code for: May or may not be coming back next season. The good news? I can assure you that Hayden, Milo, Adrian and Ali all will be back for sure next season. I personally think D.L. (duh), Matt (shown injured in the preview) and Ando are most at risk. (Micah and Molly are of course safe, 'cause you can't kill kids on television!)

Does anyone else think that MO & Syler get more drop dead sexy as the season draws to an end?

And how about how cool/bad Sylar was, turning in Ted, flipping the van, and getting him in the end!

And the darker he gets, the better he dresses!

Did anyone else get a phone call from Nathan yesterday? :thumbsup2

Last night had some great one liners
My favorite was with Jessica/Niki last night when she saw Matt and said ""Didn't I throw you out a window?" :rotfl2:

Loved it when Thompson came up to Matt and said ""What am I thinking now, Parkman?"
and then HRG says "Your last thought."

A couple of thoughts...

Who's MO?

Mohinder is VERY stupid. But is he the only one who has survived an attack by Sylar? (Yeah, yeah, I know he apparently doesn't have a power, but he DID have the antibodies/blood/cure-for-Molly.)

Yes, Sylar is getting more stylish...haha! That moment last night when he said "Boom.", the camera was coming up behind him and he looked like he'd been taking costume lessons from The Matrix.

George Takei deserves an Emmy nomination. And actually, a lot of these roles at least deserve a nomination...Linderman (of course) among them.

I want Eccelston(yummy! that Dr. Who guy, the character with the pigeons) back. ESPECIALLY if he would just get a new haircut.

Does anybody else wonder what all the old-timers mean when they refer to some member of their generation "losing their way"? Is George Takei allied with Linderman/Mama Petrelli or with Papa Petrelli/Eccelston?

If Peter is near Sylar, does he get to absorb all of Sylar's powers? Since he was near Eccelston, did he also absorb all of his as well? Was he ever near Linderman?

Does anybody think that HRG might have a power? He sure knew that Eric Roberts was coming up behind Matt, kinda brushed off Matt's "How'd you do that?", kwim?

I wanna know what the old-timers' powers are, like Hiro's dad & Mama Petrelli.

They had BETTER wrap up some loose ends in their precious 2-hr. season finale, or I *SWEAR*, I won't watch next season. I absolutely hate it when TV shows relentlessly tease the audience episode after episode.

agnes!

I think Mo is Mohinder.

Also, I checked tvguide.com and it is showing next weeks finale as only 1 hour. I am totally confused. I have been hearing since January that it will be a 2 hour finale. So, I don't know what is true???

Sylar scares the crap out of me.....he is sooo evil!! :scared1:

Peter gets hotter and hotter every week though!! :thumbsup2

Some of this is speculation, so alert posted! Don't think spoilers though. kat

A couple of thoughts...

Who's MO? (sorry Mohinder is correct!)

Mohinder is VERY stupid. But is he the only one who has survived an attack by Sylar? (Yeah, yeah, I know he apparently doesn't have a power, but he DID have the antibodies/blood/cure-for-Molly.) That was a future that may not happen, now that the wild card that is Hiro & Ando came back to the present and know who to stop.
Yes, Sylar is getting more stylish...haha! That moment last night when he said "Boom.", the camera was coming up behind him and he looked like he'd been taking costume lessons from The Matrix. YUMMMY!!!!

Don't see him listed in the last epi guest star list.

If Peter is near Sylar, does he get to absorb all of Sylar's powers? Since he was near Eccelston, did he also absorb all of his as well? Was he ever near Linderman? Yes he did get all of Sylar's powers I believe. He may not know that he has them though! and to my knowledge, not near Linderman.

Does anybody think that HRG might have a power? He sure knew that Eric Roberts was coming up behind Matt, kinda brushed off Matt's "How'd you do that?", kwim? He did say that they were "old friends & work together for a long time" or something like that. Also no power shown in the future.

With the old timers, When they showed Hiro's dad pulling out the sword from the sheath, that surely wasn't His eyes reflected. Any speculation on who he might be?

Also Mr. Petrilli didn't have powers, as shown in the graphic novels, unless he got them way older! Not even sure he may be the boys dad, since it showed Linderman "doing Jess/Niki & DL's" life together since the begining!

I think that Charles Devouroex (sp), Kaito Nakamura, Mr & Mrs. Petrelli, & Linderman along with who knows who else started this up. Linderman went to Mr. P in the graphic novel and that started the group. Some may have been financial backers, some with powers.

Some things have been resolved, like Niki is the dominate one, Nathan is elected ect. Tim Kring has promised to answer and close all the threads for this seaon and show you just a bit of the start of Volume 2 in the next episode. I think I can find where I read that, if you want me to post it.

And they decided to make this a 3 parter, doing part one with the hard part, then Landslide, and next weeks How do you stop and exploding man as the last, instead of a big 2 hour drama. That way thye could have time to move people around, start the "pot simmering" & then to a boil "boom" next week!

Oh ad DVD's release on 8/28, right before the next season starts.

This is from a March 2 interview with Tim Kring. No Spoilers.

Tim Kring reveals: The upcoming second season will constitute a new volume in the multi-volume series, with new characters and an entirely new storyline. "If you remember, the opening of the pilot pronounced the episode as the beginning of Volume One," Kring said in an interview. "Volume One comes to a conclusion at the end of episode 23, and Volume Two starts with the opening of season two. And Volume Two is a different story." Kring added: "We could have new people and new storylines and new ideas and new threats and new bad guys and new heroes. So I would prepare the audience for that idea, that it's not just a continuing serialized storyline about only these people. It's a little more the 24 model than the Lost model." Kring also confirmed that some of the current heroes just might not survive this season, but added: "Many of your favorites will live to fight again."

Some of this may have changed since in the early shows, (earlier in the season or before)he didn't plan on having any or many characters continue.

Not a Spoiler!! But so much ecxcitement!!!!

"HEROES" SPINS OFF "ORIGINS"
by Andy Khouri, Staff Writer
Posted: May 14, 2007 — More From This Author

Variety reported today on the announcement of “Heroes: Origins,” a spin-off of NBC's hit drama series "Heroes." The new "Origins" seires will be composed of stand-alone episodes centering on characters not yet seen on the original show. Viewers will be asked to pick their favorite “Origins” character who will then join the cast of “Heroes” itself. Series creator Tim Kring will oversee the new “Origins” show, which will be produced simultaneously with “Heroes.”
“Heroes: Origins” will air Monday night in the “Heroes” timeslot after the mother show ends its season or when it goes on hiatus, allowing the franchise to run virtually uninterrupted by reruns or non-“Heroes” related programming. NBC has ordered six episodes of "Origins," making for thirty total hours of "Heroes." Despite rumors to the contrary, “Heroes” will not be moved to a new timeslot to bolster weaker programming on other nights of the week, and will maintain its Monday night presence.

Does anyone else hope that Claire and Peter aren't related? They have shown great chemistry the last two episodes and they would make a very interesting couple.

I thought about that too. But he is probably too old for her. Isn't she about 16? I liked the friend from high school for her, though. They were really cute together!

Ahhah!!!

I knew I knew that face from another show.....yes...Dr. Who!!!

I think they will tie up all the loose ends....I am glad some heroes will return for next season....I think Claire is one of them.

They have said that they aren't getting together, as per Kristin of eonline. But this is Heroes so who knows!

She is a bunch younger than him though, still in high school & he out of college.

She is getting a boyfriend, next year, though. Almost surely someone more her own age.

Speaking of Claire and boyfriends was anyone else put off by future Claire a girl of extraordinary power and street smarts dating such a dopey guy as they put her with in 5 years?

But she was on the lam. She couldn't risk being with a guy who was smart. :thumbsup2 Anyway, he WAS cute. :rotfl:

Entertainment Weekly described the swordfight scenes between Hiro and his dad as "totally nerdgasmic" :happytv: and they were right. That was a great scene! I've been wondering if any of the previous generation are opposing each other. I hope I'm not wrong in thinking that Mr. Nakamura is against Linderman/Petrelli, because that would definitely shatter Hiro.

Of course, Peter still has yet to learn that his mom and brother know about the coming explosion and want it to happen. Ought to be interesting to see his reaction when he learns that.

Did anyone else notice that Peter and Claire met up with HRG, Matt, and Ted at Kirby Plaza? I love it when they throw in little bits like that.
