Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

I have to subscribe to this thread after last night. It was a good episode. So many threads to pull together though. How many more eps for the season, do we know? I hope alot!

Hayden has been in several Disney productions.....some of the other things not already mentioned are:

She was the voice of Princess Dot in A Bug's Life
She was in the movie Tiger Cruise on the Disney Channel
She was in Ice Princess
She is soon to release a CD under Hollywood Records which is a Disney label.

I know I have posted her IMDB link before, but here it is again in case some missed it....she really has had some extension work since she was very little.

Here is Hayden's IMBD link

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0659363/

She was also in a lovely film called "The Dust Factory" It wasn't widely seen, but it's a great film.

There are just no words to describe how much I love this show. Little Hiro was the cutiest thing ever.

Just a guess but I think that Claude was protecting Claire. WHich may explain why HRG was willing to kill him - to keep the secret.

I've gotta look up last week's show. I was just post-op when the show was on. I remember looking at the clock and thinking, "darn. I'm missing Heroes."

I'm feeling better this week knowing that I got to see last night's episode... and that I have an intact tricep again thanks to a cadaver tendon. Yay me!

About half way through the show, my kids mentioned that no one other than young Hiro was in last night's episode. They found it odd that it didn't jump from story to story like usual. They didn't mind, though, because it was so good!

Bennet I don't think heals. I think they shot him so he could tell his boss that Claire escaped with the Haitian and he was shot in the melee.

Hmmm..Simone having the same power as Claire? That would be silly. I almost thought she might've had a bullet proof vest on, but there was blood and holes right? Also she seemed skeptical at first about Isaac and Peter's powers. If she had powers and knew Claude, why would she have been surprised to find others?

Maybe Claude was hiding Nathan? The "company" seemed to know about Calire's mom (hence her faking her death), but they don't seem to care/know about her dad.

Bennet let the Haition shoot him so he could tell them that Claire got away. I believe he will remember Claire, but nothing else about who or what she may know. I doubt that we see much of her "family" except her dad in future episodes. I do wonder about Zach though. Will they leave him hanging? I know the actor is on another show soon.

It was kinda cool that Bennet took them to the same bridge that he shot Claude. Speculation?

I believe Simone character is or will be daed/ as in off the show as a regular guest star. But I do wonder what her father's rooftop means when they hand Claire over to Bennet. It is done up very nicely at that time. What did Deveroux have to do with that group?

2 questions having to do with the Haitian:

1) Would be even be able to erase Claire's memory? After all she can heal herself, so wouldn't that mean that any modifications he did to her brain it would just automatically undo?

2) Am I totally confused or does the Haitian actually have 2 powers? He can pluck memories from people, but he can also block the other's powers right? When he was in the bar with Matt he was able to make it so that Matt couldn't read minds. Matt couldn't read HRG's when the Haitian was there. And there was one time with HRG talking to another hero who was going to try something on him and HRG said something like "that won't work, not with my friend here" and looked at the Haitian.

So does that mean that he actually has 2 powers? Or does he have a twin brother with the blocking ability?

Bennet let the Haition shoot him so he could tell them that Claire got away.

Yup...that's what I said. He made it look like he got shot while Claire adn the haitian were escaping.

Why don't they give the poor guy a name??

Have you guys talked about Simone's Dad? He owned the building where Isaac paints, where the heroes keep ending up, right? Peter took care of him

And now that (maybe) Simone has powers, could her father (who died) be part of the story more than we thought? just wonderin'

(sorry if you guys already discussed it and I missed something!)

We may be onto something about Claude protecting either Simone or her father maybe? He hangs out at their building tending to his birds an awful lot.

Adrian Pasdar was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, but at the age of 2, his father, a prominent heart surgeon, moved the family to Powelton, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia.

It is ironic that you mention this, because my coworker and I were just discussing the fact that Dr. Pasdar operated on his father a few years back. Dr. Pasdar had told my friend that his son was an actor(I think he was on Judging Amy at that time), but my friend didn't make the connection until last night's episode that Dr. Pasdar's son was playing Nathan.

Here is a thought....

Maybe, just maybe, Simone is not who she is cracked up to be?

Think about it. She was the one "distributing" Issac's paintings, right?

Perhaps she was playing "dumb" the whole time.

OK, my questions:

1. If Hiro's dad is over Roberts, over Claude and then HRG, how come he doesn't know Hiro has powers or may have powers? Why is he letting him run around on his "mission"?

2. How/or do you think all the Heroes are connected somehow and how do you think?

3. What will happen to Ted & Matt? And is that blasted room Ted in got a damper on it or what? And the big deal with showing us the lights like that?

4. Same bridge that Claude was shot at, Bennet had himself shot at? Reason?

5. And hasn't the rooftop changed since Claire was given to the Bennet's? Wonder why it figures so big. :confused3 And in the previews, it looked almost like what Ando & Hiro were standing on, but it is across the country.

6. The Haitian's boss... who is it?

Just watched the commentary episode on the Heroes website. I caught a few things. The commentary was done by Jack Coleman (HRG), one of the writers and I think - the director?

~They said Eric Roberts character's name is Thompson.

~The Haitian can inhinbit mental powers as well as alter memories. They were talking about how there was some discussion about why the Haitian wouldn't have just stopped the Ted character from blowing up and the writer said that was because while the Haitian can inhibit mental powers he cannot do anything with physical ones.

~One of the scenes that was deleted had Luke runnning down the street to get help and a car pulls up with Thompson in it and Luke tells him he needs help etc.. They said that was the background story for why Thompson was at the house. If so, then what was he doing in the neighborhood in the first place?

My guess is that Thompson was somehow alerted when HRG and Matt showed up at Primatech. Maybe by HRG himself.

I might have to watch it again, but I thought there was a reference made to Bennett calling Eric Roberts. Either Bennett said something like "Thanks for coming," or Eric Roberts said something like, "It's a good thing you called me when you did." I can't remember who was the one who said it, but I'm sure I heard something like that and went, Aha! That's why he's there.

Who is Luke? If you mean Claire's brother, I thought his name was Lyle?

6. The Haitian's boss... who is it?

Ok here are my optional Guesses..

1. Maybe he does know and is trying to keep Hiro out of the way or hiding it like Claire's dad? Or he doesn't know but is trying to keep Hiro away from the danger or finding out what his Father is up to..

2. Well we already know Nathan is Claire's bio dad so Peter is her uncle and the Fire lady (no clue of her name ) is her bio Mom..

3. Clueless.. I must of missed something..

4. Maybe the only place in Town not be tracked? or could it be across a State line kind of thing..

5. My dad said the same thing.. everything seems to revolve around the Same roof top.. Not sure what that means yet..

6. The Haitian's boss is apparently Over claire's dad.. so may Hiro's dad ? oK and this is wayyy iffy but what if a Future hero went back in time to the present Hero's and gave the Haitian instructions ???

WoW all this thinking is giving me a Brain Freeze :headache:

Who did Claude know about 7 years earlier? It's either someone we don't know yet or it's Simone. They were hanging out on her father's roof. He could have been invisible and hanging out and saw that she had a gift and trained her a bit. While we only got a glimpse, she did not seem terribly shocked at the fact that she was upright after being shot several times!

Good guess. He did tell Peter I met someone with your ability before. Also, didn't Eric Roberts character say the "nurse" was going to be quite helpful with the mess HRG left. Maybe she can wipe memories too? On a larger scale? That would help with the neighbors seeing Claire heal.

OK, my questions:
6. The Haitian's boss... who is it?

If the Haitian was there to protect Claire from Mr. Bennet and the organization then that would suggest that the Haitian's other loyalty is outside of the organization. Remember Claude was concerned about hunting down 'gifted' people. Could they be part of some form of insurgency within the organization? The Haitian didn't have any concern about his ability to protect Claire going forward...would that protection include Claude? And whomever Claude was protecting 7 years ago? And who else is involved? If all of this is remotely accurate, how quickly will they get to Matt Parkman and get him to stay on the inside and 'be very useful'?

I'd say we find out next week but I know better.

That was my other Question. If they can "track" certian ones, then is that why Thompson was in the neighborhood? He saw/tracked 2 at the Bennet's:confused3
