I think they show Jessica in the mirror so that we watching at home see the conflict between the two. I think it's just a TV thing. The ex-cop guy heard them arguing in her head and assumed he was hearing two people.

How weird though that Matt didn't realize he wasn't actually HEARING 2 people arguing.

I keep thinking back to the car crash that Claire was supposed to have died in and coming up with 2 possibilities:

1) Either Mamma Petrelli arranged for the car to explode, taking care of the both of them. And both survived because of their unique powers (Claire to regenerate, her mom's ability having to do with fire) or

2) Mamma Petrelli paid off Claire's mom, who decided she didn't want to be burdened with a baby and she used her fire-powers to set the car on fire herself.

Also, they DISTINCTLY showed Jessica/Nikki as two seperate entities. Jessica was leaning over the railing yelling down to Nikki on the lower landing. I'm starting to think that Jessica and Nikki are like Multiple Man from the X-Men series. This may explain why Matt heard two people arguing and not one. Wish he hadn't taken the diamonds though.

If they both could be in the same place at the same time, like they showed on TV don't you think Jessica would do everything in her power to stop Niki? Wouldn't Jessica want to "show" people that it's not her doing all this bad stuff? Wouldn't she have shown the doctor in the hospital that there were two of them if they could split apart? I still think it's just the producers/writers way of showing the inner conflict between Jessica's two halves.

Matt hears people's thoughts, he heard multiple thoughts coming from Jessica/Niki's single mind and assumed it was two people.

I watch Deal or No Deal and saw the preview for the new Hero. It's a car mechanic that has super hearing. It was great because Mohinder and Syler found her and she said she can hear when someone's heartbeat speeds up and she looked at Syler and said something like, "like you, your heartbeat just sped up, are you nervous about something?" And she looked at him very accusingly like. It was great!

My mistake, for some reason I was remembering it as a car crash. But it still doesn't affect the premise that I think somehow Mamma Petrelli was involved and possibly Claire's mom as well. After last night we know she can't be trusted.

Another great episode....it keeps getting better!!! Hayden (Claire) was in New York this weekend doing spots on the Today Show, Live with Regis and Kelly and Conan O'Brien....these all aired yesterday (Monday). I watched her on the Today show and Tivoed Live, but missed Conan...anyone see her on that?

As some of you know Hayden is good friends with my DD and Hayden spent the night at our house on Saturday (she grew up one town over). I told her what a great fan base she has here at the Dis and she was impressed....and no, as much as I wanted some insider info, I did not pry for info about upcoming episodes/characters. I did not want to put her in a position of revealing what she shouldn't. She just said to keep watching as new heros will be revealed all the time....She was also telling us that she was in Orlando recently at a comic book convention and had to sign over 1,000 autographs in one sitting!!! She heads back to LA this week to continue filming the show and my DD is flying out there on the 23rd to visit her and some other friends in LA.

Hayden also has a music CD coming out soon and does the music video for one of the Cinderella III songs (as can be seen all the time on the Disney Channel). She is shining brightly!!!

Can't wait for next week's show!!!

mmouse, that is so cool you know Hayden! My DD is 8 and can already sing all the words from her video on the Disney channel! She's too young to watch Heroes, but loves her from the video and because she has green eyes like my DD! At least she does in the video, lol! Not too many green eyed blondes around according to my 8 year old!

If you remember, Jessica first saw Nikki in the reflective surface of the floor signage. When she ran down to the next floor she once again heard Nikki, looked at the signage and did not see her. Jessica then looked up and saw Nikki within the stairway itself... she was definately shocked at this.

I do not think it is just a "TV" thing... if that had been the issue then they would have just showed her in the signage again. Instead they purposely showed them as both in the stairwell. I think it was showing a gain in strength in the Nikki part of the personality and perhapse if she gets strong enough the personalities can split.

I do have a question... why don't they listen to you when you yell at them on the screen? I screamed at Mohinder when Sylar wanted to come with him. Did he listen? NOOOOO!
