Now that the Sing-along is going to FP+ as of 9/2, I wonder how they will handle the people who are going with the package after 9/2? We'll be there the end of September - unless they scan an extra FP onto our bands, I'm guessing we'll still get return cards?

Rumors have been circulating heavily. It's considered rumor unless Disney officially announces it. I had reported last week about the cm at Oaken's who told me a commercial was being filmed there which suggested longevity. Many bloggers have reported rumors of Idol closing to move the sing-along into there. Jim Hill reported to look for an extension thru 2015 on Aug 19th. Disney is holding auditions for the sing-along characters on Aug 28th.

It will work the same way it's been working for the package. Your credentials will get you to the VIP line for the show and they'll have to give you something that indicates which show you chose.

The first post of the thread lists that information. The packages are sold out, but there's always the possibility of someone cancelling.

Personally, I think there is a really good chance of seeing some type of extension.

IF an extension is announce and the package is part of it, you'll want to jump on that immediately.

I have one on right now - it's a plain blue lanyard with a non-laminated piece of cardstock clipped to it that has the date and event printed. As far as I know we can keep them, no one mentioned handing them back in. I'd take a pic but I don't know how to post one here from my phone.

It's nice enough but it would be a better souvenir if it was laminated. Oh well, I can do that myself at home.

The credentials are a lanyard. You keep it. I'm trying to find a picture. But doesn't look like I ever took one. But here's a picture of us wearing the lanyards.

There will have to be something additional to show what time of sing-along you chose for the package. You choose at the parade check-in. So I guess I need to go back and edit my answer to a previous question. Maybe they'll keep the paper show times for the package guests.

I did see that. The last time he posted about a possible extension (8/5), it was officially announced shortly after (8/7).

I had a great time until the loud, never-ending cover band gave me a migraine during the dessert party and a CM got snippy with me when I asked if there was somewhere quiet I could go for a bit.

It was fun though. I'm glad I went even if I did hate that band.

I love, love, love the Icemen. But they can REALLY sound loud up front by the stage.

I'm so sorry the cm got snippy. You should have posted the question here. I would have suggested going to First Aid for pain reliever and ear plugs. You could have also laid down too. Though I think First Aid closes an hour before park closing.

You are free to come and go from the dessert area, a short walk around Echo Lake towards H&V would have knocked the music down a few decibels. There are also benches.

The Icemen and the DJ end 15 minutes before show time. So that would have been a good time to return back to the viewing area.
