**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

Yes. They are not impromptu, they are scheduled. Their name is Wandering Oaken's Cousins on Ice. This week, their times are 12:15, 1:15, 2:15, 4:15, 5:15, and 6:15. Afterwards, they sometimes come out and meet guests.

Thanks! So excited to see it.

I am going to cancel my premium package for august 31st, right now. It's for 4 people if anyone is interested.

I am going to cancel my premium package for august 31st, right now. It's for 4 people if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully someone here can snag it.

I am trying to switch a date for the package, Sept 6th for either Aug 31, Sept 1 or Sept 28. If I can't switch, then it will just be a cancel. Either way though, I'll be cancelling a package for 3 on Sept 6th.

Thank you and that is very helpful. I appreciate your 'wordy', actually love it for the details which are exactly what I'm looking for... I could be wordier...:)

We found the evening before closing to be very busy. I guess everyone is trying to get in at the last minute. The store and Funland close around 8pm.

Today we spent a quick morning over at DHS. Arrived around 9:30, picked up a sing-along ticket then headed to Oakens. Waited about 15 minutes for the Build a Snowman, just missed the cut off from the previous session. Browsed through Tattoine Traders and Writer's Stop, before heading to the Backlot Express to wait in the air conditioning for the parade.

That worked out really well. You might want to consider doing TSMM, a quick character meet if you can be back to Oaken's around 9:30. You'll miss skating because the session starts at 9:30, and paper work and lacing up take time. But you could build a snowman, do the 3 photo-ops, have a snack and watch skating? By the time we left Oaken's it was pretty full. At capacity and they were staggering in guests. When we arrived, it was just walk right in.

I hope that helps. Sorry I'm so wordy.

Here's the picture from yesterday's parade when Kristoff offered carrots to my son's Sven. Totally made his day! Kristoff is quickly edging out Stitch as his favorite Disney character.

We love the Welcome processional, the interactions are priceless!

Going to watch the fireworks tonight. Where's the best place to see the stage and fireworks? Would rather see the fireworks more than the stage, if it's not possible to get a good view of both. Quick replies appreciated lol.

I really liked watching them in front of 50's PTC. Walking straight out towards the lake from the Tune In Lounge. You'll see a lower level. There are some tables. If you can get a table where you can see both the Idol screen and the sky, you are in great shape! Other wise find a spot by the fence where you can see both. It's a great view of the full sky. Sound may or may not be piped into this area? It wasn't last week when we watched it there.

OR

Between the Idol screen and the stage is a very popular spot. You should be able to view the screen, sky, and maybe stage.

OR

If you don't mind crowds, the fireworks are designed to be best viewed from Hollywood BLVD where the hat takes center. One DISer reported good viewing near the popcorn stand on Hollywood blvd.

Thanks so much!!

Add me to the list of those thankful for all the posts by those who have been! Next weekend is our turn, I can't begin to describe how excited I am! For my daughter of course! ;) I will be re-reading and taking notes! My main goals are the sing-a-long and Oaken's! I know. DD won't ice skate but building a snowman would be great too!

Staked out a spot on Hollywood boulevard just opposite the screen (the screen further down the street, not by the hat).

Please report back how that spot works!

If we wanted to do the 9:30 skating session what time should we arrive? Would we have time to ride TSMM and do the 9:30 skating if we headed over right after TSMM?

The ice will open from 9:30 til 10. You will need to have all your paper work filled out and handed in, and skates on and ready to go by 9:30 if you plan to skate for 30 minutes.

It was great for the fireworks..we were stood on the left hand side as they weren't letting people stand on the right, and it was a tiny bit obstructed by a tree but nothing major. Really really enjoyed them. Disney definitely know how to put on a good show :)
