**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

::yes::
The Sing Alongs are daily. They only reduced the fireworks and Premium Package to Friday - Sunday.

BTW: I no longer have access to the HUB
My husband left Disney to concentrate on his full time job with Del Air, he might go back by the end of the year

I am sure this has been answered and I am sure I have read it along the way but... how long is the parade? (I have the package and will be in that viewing area if it makes a difference)
Thanks in advance :)

Good luck to your husband! He probably misses DHS. You'll still continue on with APs, though, right? Because everyone will be counting on you for SWW!!! :)

Ah, thanks for the correction. That seems odd to me, then. We've made it through the busiest part of summer with the number of shows they have now, and all of those shows don't seem to fill to capacity each day. So why would they now add to the number of shows when crowds are lighter, especially through September? It makes no sense. Could they be changing the location, possibly? To some place with a smaller auditorium?

Maybe it becomes a daily show without the need for Return Time Tickets but with Fp+. With the money they are saving due to less fireworks, they can run more Sing-Alongs. They are probably calculating the interest in the show and beginning Sept. 29th, it will probably be revised to the number of times per day that is deemed necessary.

The rumors had been that JTA moves to AIE but then those changed to Frozen moving there... nothing has been said lately.

I am happy that the Frozen Summer Fun is extended through our September stay, but it really does wreak havoc to all my previously made plans.

How difficult will it be to get tickets to the Sing-A-Long show if we don't get to HS until after lunchtime? We have FP's at MK all morning, and were planning to go to HS right after lunch on Sept 21st. My granddaughter will definitely want to do all the frozen stuff we can. I am debating on cancelling the FP's at MK so we can watch the frozen parade at 11:00. :confused3

What to Do???

I have read that the premium package viewing area is somewhat obstructed for the fireworks show itself. What area is an ideal location for the fireworks and to be "snowed" on at the end of the show? Would it be best to be to the side of the premium area towards Idol where we would still have a view of the screen or further down Hollywood Blvd near the exit gate? My DD is 7 and getting too heavy to carry or put on our shoulders but I'm afraid she might not be able to see much at all. We are only able to go one night so I want to plan ahead and make sure that she can see well and enjoy herself :)
From pictures it appears that there are tables with umbrellas to the side of the premium package. Is that a good spot and how early do the tables fill up before the show? I'm thinking that she could stand on the seat of the table to be at an adult's height if need be....

Today the doors for the return tickets for the sing-along closed promptly at 12:20. The only door opened after that was for package and standby. By 12:25 the cm were filling in every available seat with guests.

We have now seen 3 different friends of each historian.

I'll be home later today to answer questions better.

The tables by min and bills with umbrellas cannot be sat upon or stood on. Also the benches can't be stood on. We had an awesome view July 6 at the picnic table. A terrible view 2 weeks ago same area. Best view seems to be between idol screen and stage IF everyone sits, but you won't get snowed on.

I was thinking the same thing, about them doing away with the return time tickets. The return window for each show has been from 40 minutes to 10 minutes prior to show start time. For a 9:25am show, that would put the return window starting before the park is even open.

Selfishly, I hope they keep the return time tickets going throughout Sept. I'd rather be able to go in the morning and choose a time than have to line up for an hour or more and just hope to get in. I supposed we'll see what happens as early Sept travelers report back.

Is the only difference between a "great" view and "terrible" view in that area dependent on whether everyone decides to sit down or not? How early were you there to get a seat at a picnic table? Is the dance party visible from the tables? I was thinking the wait would go by fairly quickly if we could watch the dance party and wait for the fireworks to start!

We grabbed a table around 8:30. No snow by these tables or by Idol. Just Hollywood BLVD

Guests stood in front of all the picnic tables for fireworks.

The Icemen of the North are on the big screen. We really enjoy them.

Don't count on people remaining seated even if they are seated before hand. I've only seen it once where the people remained seated. All others it rained beforehand and the ground was damp so everyone stood. On a sunny day, that ground can still be hot in the evening.

I didn't realize that was such a recent post. Thanks! We'll just have to wing it a bit, I guess!

Also, FYI to all, the touring plans app is showing singalong times for 9/26 at 10:25, 11:30, 12:35 and a bunch of other times in the afternoon. I'm not sure where they are getting this info from and I know the schedule is subject to change. If it's accurate the OP might to update the first post though.

Thank you for the heads up. I've updated the first post in red.

Haven't checked everyday of Sept but starting Sept. 2nd the scheduled or the sing along is:
9:25, 10:25, 11:30, 12:35, 1:40. 2:45, 3:50, 4:55, 6, 7:05
EDIT: check the date that you're going because, for example, Sept. 6th doesn't show the 9:25am time...

Thanks for checking for me while I was playing! :thumbsup2

Thanks in advance :)

The parade itself is just under 5 minutes, the welcome on the stage is just over 5 minutes. So plan on 10 if you do both, 5 if just the one. :)

Wow, if this is true, adding on the three shows in the morning means the Sing Along is now double-casted. Double-casting the show means it has some permanency... as in it will continue beyond the 28th, possibly??

Should be interesting!!

Right, but it means that one cast is in for the morning shows and then probably alternates during the rest of the day. There has to be one cast doing the morning shows while the 2nd cast is in the processional.

The new schedule shows up on the regular WDW site.
They are auditioning for Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Aria and Erik on Aug. the 28th. Callbacks are the 29th and rehearsals will begin right away.
I don't think they would go thru such trouble for only 28 more days. I have a feeling they will, at least, extend the sing along

Itinkso, I think you are probably right in assuming longevity and not just 28 more days.

I spoke to a few cm today. None of them knew about any time changes or auditions.

We have also seen 3 friends of Aria and 3 of Erik. It's exciting that more are being hired!

All these recent changes and speculations are interesting. Can't wait to see how it all plays out!

It's interesting the CMs you spoke with haven't been informed of any news after it's already on the website. :),

The CMs who should know, and I'm sure they do, are the Equity actors because contracts are involved. It is interesting and it sounds as if DHS will become your favorite park!! ;)

The one said checking out the HUB is on the agenda for today.

Other than Osborne Lights and SWW, we rarely went to DHS. Epcot was our park of choice. I still "need" to try a Frozen Ice Cream Sandwich and Arendelle Punch.

Staying cool was easy this morning. We got there at 10:45. Headed straight to Backlot Express and sat at a table. DH to the Premiere theater to get 12:30 tickets. Stepped outside at 11:05 and watched the parade, and dh made it back to us in time. Then straight to Oaken's to play in the snow. (Waited about 15 minutes in line.) Then off to the sing-along. Then out to the car and home for DH to get to work. His cooling vest kept ice the whole time. Fun morning!

((( Happy dancing here after reading your post ))) I think you are right why would they cast for 28 days ... It's looking better and better for our November trip : ) I've thought they would have to change the name of the event from Frozen Summer Fun o another name like just Frozen Fun or Frozen Fall Fun or Frozen Winter wonderland or ??? If they go past Sept., I guess will have to wait and see? But it's looking good : )
Curious why your thinking only the sing along will be extended though? Why not the morning parade and fireworks on the weekends? My thought is their selling out on the premium packages so why not continue at least on the weekends. Guess it's a wait and see? I planned a DHS day for a Saturday in early November so if it happens I can snag premium package ... Sure wish they'd let us in on the happenings sooner instead of planning for what might happen but I'll take it either way : )

The sleigh and two floats are from the MVMCP MOUCParade as well as the CMs and their costumes. Everything has to get prepped for the MVMCPs that begin on November 7th. The Processional also impacts JTA and causing downtime for CMs who are already on the clock is always a concern. There's also the daily parade control CMs who have to cover at DHS and then move on to MK. There's a lot of logistics and $$$ involved with running a 10 minute Processional.

It will be quite interesting to see what remains of Frozen beginning on September 29th.

Fingers crossed the parade stays! The house float isn't that great. But the one Kristoff is on is. Although I'd think there is another float somewhere they could recycle for Kristoff?

Thanks so much for sharing!

Did you have a FP+ for Fantasmic?

How were the crowds heading there? Did you take Hollywood BLVD to Sunset or did you cut over before? I know before fireworks they have several roped off areas and just wondering if after fireworks those ropes are lifted to cut back to Sunset.

Of course - thank you for all the great tips and updates! :thumbsup2

We did not have a FP+ for the second Fantasmic viewing at 10:30. It was fairly crowded, but not super congested on Sunset Avenue on the way to the theater. We did take Hollywood Blvd to Sunset. We watched the concert and Frozen Fireworks from right in front of the popcorn cart on Hollywood Blvd, adjacent to Brown Derby. So immediately after the fireworks we were able to turn right onto Sunset before the crowds got very heavy - we didn't see any ropes so maybe they were already down? This worked out really well and we got great seats for both the fireworks in a relatively uncrowded area, and for Fantasmic afterwards.

Kristoff is on the Chip and Dale snowball fight float so that probably goes back to MVMCP. Maybe they could put Kristoff on one of those rover floats the troopers were on for SWW. Those two pieces originally were in Block Party Bash > Countdown to Fun.
