Has anyone seen any Sven plushes at Wandering Oaken's lately?

I was there on Saturday (Aug 2) and they did not have Sven plushes then

I admit that I have lost track of the topic but was wondering what the latest word was for firework viewing and the premium package. Are they still preventing people from standing in front of those in the package area? How far back should one with the package go for best viewing? I'm concerned that the hat is going to block things but still want to be inside the designated area.

Nikki, Check out my TR for the 2nd package. I have pictures. And yes, people stood in front of Package. Seems to be hit or miss.

For the dessert party we stood in the far back right corner (as you are looking at hat). I thought this had the best viewing for the fireworks and a good view for the stage on the screen.

There was an elevated camera / filming stage there when we went and we stood right in front of this area. The added bonus is that our children sat in front of the filming stage with no issue. It was tiring for them to stand the whole time and they wouldn't let your children sit in the main area (tripping hazard I assume).

That's where we stood for the 2nd party we went to! The first party we stood back and left. That was not a good choice.

It rained before both and our dessert was in Disney Jr, so there were no tables out in the viewing area. When we entered the area, the majority of people headed back and right.

Hey all. I was just able to buy the Premium package for 2 adults on 8/30. Don't give up because folks cancel.

I cancelled this morning for 2 adults and 2 children on 8/26. Meant to post earlier, sorry! Decided to go to the first F! and without enjoying the dessert party, I don't think this package is worth $186 (for us).

You can chose your time for the singalong. Only 1 member of your party needs to be present.

I may be in the minority. I prefer watching the fireworks from near the Idol screen. But I don't like to feel crowded and it's less crowded around Echo Lake than Hollywood blvd.

Here are firework pictures of our view of the fireworks sitting at a picnic table at Min and Bill's. It was partially blocked by the Idol Marquee, the stage and hat, but I think they made neat backdrops. We couldn't not really see the stage. We caught glimpses. But had perfect view of the Idol screen to see a video of what was happening on stage.

We claimed a picnic table shortly after 8:30ishpm. So we waited a LONG time. We sat down and waited til the crowds thinned out to leave. It's a mass exodus when they are over.

My son's Olaf LE 5000 magic band is not working properly. Each time we went to a FP+ yesterday his scanned blue and gave the message that he's used up his allotment of fast passes. I'm assuming it's because we bought it the day the computers were down. I got a message that I linked it correctly.

Just curious if anyone else who bought the band on Saturday is having this problem?

There were still Yoda LE 5000 bands left from SWW on Saturday.

I was there today and it seemed like lots of the LE Olaf bands were in stock at Wandering Oakens. Also had plenty of the other three.

I have just seen this on craigslist:

Magic Ice USA is currently hiring for "The Ice Rink at Disney/MGM Studios" and is accepting applications for open ice skate guard positions. The rink is in operation from July 5th through the end of September and we are looking for qualified individuals to fill the following position.

So it looks like Frozen is staying a little longer.

I've seen so many blogs, posts, etc. saying that fireworks are currently running until Sept 1. That "currently" in there sparked my curiosity. So when I asked someone who wrote "currently", if that meant the fireworks will run beyond Sept 1. The response back was "it's a good chance."

KTP on his blog today wrote about what you listed here about Magic Ice USA.

So it looks like you may be right.

I know I've been asked about the MGM comment in the ad. Many of us in Central FL still call DHS, MGM. Most of my friends still call the Market Place, Disney Village.

I guess we'll find out soon, one way or the other. Though if we find out like we did about the event, it may be a small window before the extension would start?

There is also some new Olaf merchandise. A bracelet, a tea set, a pull apart Olaf toy, a taking Olaf toy, etc. I took pictures of a few things. Will post once I down load them to photobucket.

I have another question too. I have 11:15 reservations at 50's PT. Do you think I would be able to make the 12:30 sing a long? I Have TSMM FP for a return time of 1-2. I can't switch this. There aren't anymore FPs. I have back to back fast passes for other things, that run through 4 o'clock. Then dinner reservations at 5:40. I'm not sure where there would be enough time to make a sing a long. We definitely want to. BTW I have the premium package. I want to get up close at the sing a long for my daughter. This is one of the reasons I purchased the premium package. Main reason was for the dessert party.

It's definitely more bulky.

I think there were issues for cm stacking the old Olaf design and also with staying on the stick. We didn't see a single new Olaf off the stick, but the old ones were often melting off the stick.

They seemed to be figuring out the old design during July. Some days we'd get Olaf on a tongue depressor, or he'd come on a giant stick, then a tongue depressor again, then one day we had Olaf come without a stick. So maybe the umbrella design is also temporary.

Whew! I honestly don't think you'd make it to the show in time. Especially if seating is important to you.

The return time for the 12:30 show starts at 11:50. If it's filled to capacity, the doors may close at 12:20. The package begins by filling in the 3rd row, then the 4th, and possibly the 5th. After the return window, they begin filling in those empty Premium Package seats with standby.

For example, on Aug 2, there were 2 seats dead center, 2nd row. At 12:20, two people just entering the theater on standby were directed to those seats. There were also single seats here and there throughout the theater that were filled with people coming in at the last minute.

2:30pm would be more reasonable for you to make. You could get in the premium line at 1:50 if you go to the earliest part of your TSM FP+ return.

Either that or maybe cancel 50's PTC and eat at a counter service as soon as the parade is over?
