***OFFICIAL February 2025 Thread***

This might be the refurbishment my kids will be most upset about:

The indoor children's playground in the Dumbo the Flying Elephant queue will close for refurbishment on January 27, 2025 and is expected to reopen in Spring 2025. The attraction will remain open and available during this time.

Aw man. I hate that for them. I know my grands will love this when we get to finally take them. There seems to be more refurbs happening this february than there were last year.

A bit off topic from the thread and I realize it is still far away so you probably aren't even looking at anything yet but something I'd consider if you haven't already is to research renting DVC points. Might be worth it with a group like that. Another option would be off-site which is cheaper and can also get you larger accommodations. But of course some of that Disney magic is lost for the kids first trip

Just a couple of suggestions for when you do eventually start looking into it
I'm gonna second the renting DVC points. This is the second time I have rented points (last year for Grand Floridian and this year for AKL). Both time off the Dis. I was so nervous but both of the people I worked with have been fabulous.

I need to narrow down my multi-pass selections over the next few days so I can make them right when my window opens in about a week. I was just going to only buy it for MK and HS but with how busy it is going to be I may go ahead and get it for AK and EPCOT too. Especially since I will only be at EPCOT for the later part of my arrival day. Plus since I am only paying for one person, it wouldn't be quite as bad on the wallet.

Oh snap! That means deluxe guest are from 10-midnight Wednesday. I may not make it through it all since I will have a busy day at HS Thursday.

Again, we're on the same page. My itinerary is pretty loose, but I was planning to go to MK on Wednesday evening and then head over to HS on Thursday morning. We'll see...

Do you think it's going to be crazy that week? (We'll be there February 4 - 9, so just a day after you I believe.)

I know this current weekend was a zoo, but it is a holiday weekend so more expected I figure.

One of my personal lines in the sand is not paying any extra money for Lightening Lanes or other added expenses to lessen our wait times. With just the 2 of us there's no attraction important enough that missing it will put a damper on our trip. We'll be fine. But with that said, I'm still trying to hold out hope that it won't be ridiculously crowded.

I feel like it may be busier than the last two years in February but I could be wrong. Since I am solo this trip I wasn't planning on doing the Multi-pass for all the parks since they always seem to be needing a single rider to fill a car on rides, but may change because there seems to be a lot of chatter about people going in February this year. I'm so torn just because I don't wanna spend the extra money.

We'll be there beginning Feb 8...I'm looking ahead at the lightning lane calendar, and both Feb 9 and 10 gives an error when you click through the date. Anyone else?

It’s giving me the same error code in the MDE app. Also, are you not allowed to buy the LLMP for multiple parks on one day? I do not see that option for Feb 8. I’d like to buy the multi park because I’m not 100% sure where I’ll be that day.

@cs037 I looked at the premier pass for Feb and the 9th and 10th are marked out. Maybe they are already sold out?? I’m going to go read over in the LL forum and see if anyone knows what’s going on.

Editing to add that I looked and didn’t see anyone talking about this.

There's no official multi-park option anymore. All of them are multi-park. After you scan in for your first ride, you are able to book any MP ride in all parks.

Hmm that’s weird. I’m definitely planning on buying LLMP both of those days…

It will be available to book at your 7 day window. I clicked though like I was going to purchase LLMP for Feb 8th, and was not able to due to it not being my 7 day window (1/31). Yours might be different based upon when your resort reservation begins.

Editing to add that I got my hopes up!

February is coming fast! My booking window opens on January 31st, so I need to decide where to be, when to be there, and whether I want to buy LLs. I will have four full days there and plan to spend 1.5 days in Epcot and 1.5 days in MK. The last day I will leave to chance.

I am very curious to see how MK is on the eve of February 9th, which is Super Bowl Sunday.

I'm looking forward to the Festival of the Arts shopping and food booths. I need to look again for a list of artists so I can plan my walk around World Showcase. Edit: its live https://www.eventswithdisney.com/profile/web/index.cfm?PKwebID=0x214093abcd

I did look at the Touring Plans crowd calendar, and it seems reasonable. I just want to avoid the bulk of the cheer groups.

My MP/SP day is Monday. I think I have an idea on what I plan to book. Still not sure if I will do MP in EPCOT on my arrival day but I am hoping to snag a VQ for Guardians once I get to the airport and I will buy the SP for it as well. I think I've decided to not do MP for AK either but will buy the SP for FOP. It's one of my favorite rides.

Oh and I hope the 10 day forecast doesn't change much. I know a lot can happen and it changes daily but I am hoping it doesn't.

It would be really nice if the weather was a whole lot warmer and drier than it has been this week. :)

I've been thinking about multipasses for our trip, since there are two of us and we are free to do whatever we want. But it could tie us down to a schedule, which I'm not sure I want.

Same! I was fully prepped for cool (well, Florida cool) and haranguing my travel party to pack coats and be ready for damp. And now the first week of Feb dates look absolutely beautiful with 75*. Crossing my fingers that holds!

Same! I'm hoping the weather forecast holds and it's warm and sunny. Also, less space is needed in my luggage for bulky clothes, which leaves more for souvenirs!

I will buy LLSPs for Guardians and also try for the VQ. I agree with Sue that MP can tie you down, as can the time spent modifying those LLs.

I realize I might live to regret this, but hubby and I have decided we're sticking to our guns and not spending any money on Lightening Lanes, after hours parties/events, or anything else with the sole purpose of shortening the wait time for attractions. (Well, there is actually another purpose: making more money for Disney! LOL) Honestly, it boggles our minds to even consider forking over more cash than we already have.

At this point in our lives we'd rather put our money toward staying in our favorite area of WDW at a beautiful and extremely convenient resort where we can walk to 2 parks, as well as getting Park Hopper tickets for 6 days including our arrival and departure days. Then we have the opportunity to be at whichever park we want to pretty much whenever we want to be there. I get a twitch if I even think about reserving rides days before I'm there.

Of course, I would have been able to spend less money by doing it differently, ie: booking a less expensive resort or no Park Hoppers or a day or two less on the park tickets themselves, and that saved money could have gone toward Lightening Lanes. And I can certainly understand why someone would want to go a different route than we do.

But for us, as much as we love the attractions, there's nothing we can't live without.

Now when we go back with the grandbabies it might be a different story...
