Woohoo starting tomorrow I can pick from the bottom of the FP+ availability for out first park day. As for the question:

10 days in Florida total
5 Disney park days with 5 water park option and more
3 universal days

First character we will have a picture with is likely chef Mickey, first character I want a picture with is either stitch, captain jack sparrow, Alice or cruella deville

Truthfully though, I'm more excited about meeting Anna and Elsa this time around. My friend and I are just like Anna and Elsa respectively and since I'll be blond and my friend will more than likely be a redhead by the time we go, (we love dying our hair) we're thinking of trying to dress up that day. Not in costume of course, but at least with the right colors so that people will have a pretty good idea of what we're doing.

I received tracking on them. They were shipped over the weekend and arrived Thursday. My in-laws are coming as well and their order hasn't shipped yet.

Awesome! Yeah, my first time at the POP so if you see someone wandering witht the lost-look that'll probably be me. lol... We also have reservations to eat at T-Rex for dinner on the 4th.

For magic bands, I haven't received any update via email but when I logged into my DME page, it stated the same thing about being processed. Per my first set from a few months ago, it was the same process and then it notified me about shipping, where they took about 1 week to arrive to California. They shouldn't be more than two weeks from the date of processing.

Staying at the Pop as well, arriving on the 3rd. Maybe I will see you there. I'm eating at T-Rex later in the week to. Looking forward to it.


On the subject of Magic Bands, I got a email two weeks ago, just asking me to confirm address. When I looked on the DME website today, My magic band is being personalized and it also says to check back soon for shipping details. Is that the basic message everyone is getting?

I just called Disney support because I haven't received our bands & we're 21 days out (leaving on 1/31).
Apparently, there was a glitch with all the bands that we set to go on 12/31 (one month out), and all those on that date are stuck in processing. Eh was going to push it through manually, and I should be getting all email soon.
If you haven't gotten your bands yet, give them a call, just in case yours was stuck with the glitch.

So, my impatience got the best of me and I just called WDW support about my Magic Bands. Grrrrrrrrrr.

She told me that they are "produced" exactly one month out. So, mine were set to be produced on December 31. Of course, the manufacturing facility is closed from December 31 until January 2. They started production on January 5. They are currently in fulfillment. Now, when they are done they are very "hot." This is exactly what she told me - not sure why. They need to wait a day until someone can handle them. They should be sent back for shipment "soon" - and then they'll be mailed out as per "their agreement with the carrier" - they can only send so many each day. I shouldn't worry because I'm right on schedule.

I ended the conversation by asking if I could expect them to ship within the week. She couldn't guarantee anything but that sounded reasonable. I guess at this point I'm hoping to get them a week before we leave. That's definitely much later than last year.

From her explanation one would think that everyone arriving on January 31 or February 1 should be the same boat. I did notice that the explanation I got was a little bit different than the explanation Jo (above post) got.

This is why I was really trying hard not to call. From past experience I know that you're probably NOT going to get the same answer to the same question from a different CM.

Oh well. I guess it's all good. I'm going to WDW in 3 weeks!!! And hopefully, I'll have my Magic Bands with me. :-}

First time as well at POP for me two. There might be two of us with lost looks on our face lol I'm sure we will be fine. I'm eating at T-Rex on the 6th. Looking forward to it. First time eating there as well. I haven't received them yet, but trying to be patient. If I haven't received mine by Tuesday, I plan on giving them a call and seeing what the deal is.

Cap'n, your niece has a VERY sweet uncle! Most of the latest stories I've heard are of Anna and Elsa being separate despite the same line, though. Are folks able to get one with both of them? Much like Belledreamer (LOVE the name, btw), my younger DSis and I are a lot like Elsa and Anna, so much so that we dressed up as them to entertain Trick-or-Treaters this past Halloween and hope to modify the outfits for Florida weather and our FP+. I'd love one with both girls!

Captain Hook is a riot to meet, imho! I had a "swordfight" with him during Pirate Week of Limited Time Magic. His hook vs. my Keyblade keychain, all because I had just come from Peter Pan signing one of his hats (which I wore, of course). Great memory! It's one of my favorite meets.

Does anyone else have some good M&G stories? Mickey was the first I ever met hence why I'm wanting to honor that with a repeat this year.
