*-Official February 2015 Thread-*

I still have not received my magic band yet. I arrive on the 30th. I did call Disney today, provided my resort reservation number and was told they shipped yesterday and should arrive in 7-10 days. I still do not have an email with any tracking numbers. Hmmm I hope the CM I spoke with knows what she is talking about. Will soon find out!

Congrats to those who have received theirs! Come on February and jumping on a plane for my favorite happy place!

We are arriving on Feb 15, but since we want to skip the crowds on Pres Day, our first park is MK on Feb 17. Anyone else braving the school break? We have no choice since DH is a teacher. QUOTE]

We are in the same boat, wife is a teacher. Heard it will be worse this year with Mardi Gras, but nothing we can do about it but have our touring plan and have fun. Good luck on your trip, we are doing park days 16-19 with young kids as well - and dreading the 1 hr before rope drop too. Good luck!

We are headed up on the 24th and headed home on the 26th (or 27th).

just booked my FIRST EVER RESORT PACKAGE!!! For a Florida girl I'm way over due. The Florida resident deals were too good to pass up. We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Club in the pirate rooms.

I hope our bands arrive on time too. Happy and safe travels to all!

We arrive on January 31 and have not received ours yet! (Insert very sad face here...)

Looks like we are in the same neck of the woods at Disney. But I will be on the Villa side. Have a great trip. Really looking forward to spending my bday with the mouse!

We're arriving on the 31st and no magic bands for us either. I did have to call ME about luggage tags a few days ago bc we had not received them yet & it turns out they shipped them to an address that we haven't lived at for 6 years! All the other Disney info is coming to our correct address, so I'm not sure what happened there, but they said they'd resend, so keeping an eye out for that. I am now a little worried about the bands though, so I will call today. Hopefully, I'll hear some good news!

28 days till!!!!!!!! Can't wait, no magic bands yet or tags. I can wait as I was in the Kingdom in September and got to experience MB recently. My cohorts however ask me several times a day. Currently the debate is with meals - do we snack throughout the day to maximize park time or do actual table service meals. Being that it will be a short trip I keep leaning towards the snacks but who knows. Anyone have and thoughts towards Bluezoo?

When I got my tags and ME booklet, they didn't even have my flights listed. Oh well, I got it taken care of. I chatted with a Disney Agent a few minutes ago and she said about Magic bands that is usually ships 10-30 days before trip and that I should get a email with a tracking source/code and to be on the lookout for that email. Crossing fingers, hoping all turns out well for us all.

I know there has been a ton of talk about the Magic bands and what not but I thought maybe since we played a game before, we could take play another one. Just for fun, so here goes:

I know when we walk into the parks there are characters there in front and most of us love getting a picture with them,(I know I do) but what I'm asking is what character would you love your first picture to be with on your upcoming trip?

And how many days will your trip will consist of?

Ready, set, go...cheer up magic bands or magic bands, they will eventually come for us all and soon we will all be in the happiest place on earth. :goodvibes

Sorry I'm late to the thread but I'm heading to the World with my folks and bestie for her first trip from Feb. 28-March 5!! :cloud9:

No word on the Magic Bands yet but it's still early for us so I'm not too worried about it (yet!) I'm hoping it won't take too long for them to come in though since we're wanting to decorate our bands before we go. But we did get our Fastpass + picked out and were able to get the 7DMT and Frozen M&G that we were hoping for so I'm thrilled. :goodvibes

As for the questions, we'll be in the parks 5 days (maybe 1/2 on the last day depending how tired we are and if I got to pick which character we got our first pic with, I'd love one with Peter Pan, Gaston, or one of the princesses. Or of course the Mouse himself!

We are hitting the parks 17-19th. I am worried about keeping our incredibly impatient 18 month old occupied (aka from melting down) while we wait for the drop. I have never done it before and have no idea what to expect. Is there anything to see or do during the wait? Or is just a teeming mob of people? :worried:

We went a couple of years ago, and i had a 23 month old. It's mostly just standing around (well, we only went to MK, so I don't know about Epcot, HS, or AK). There are things to point out, look at - and the anticipation kept my boy at ease a little bit. I just kept trying to engage him in conversation, talking about our plan and what all we were going to see, what he would say to the characters, etc. I am now going with an almost 5 year old and a 1 year old (turns one on the trip) so I'm dreading that time as well. At least a MK, there is a show before park opening, around 15-20 min prior if I remember right.

We eat breakfast while we are waiting. The kids are normally pretty peaceful in the stroller as long as they have food. We also talk about what we are going to do for the day so they know exactly what to expect.

I have seen other people say they bring bubbles to blow. That sounds like a mess waiting to happen with my kids so I've never attempted that.

6 Days in park, 7 in resort.
I REALLY want to get a pic with Anna and Elsa with my girls. I also really want a pic with Merida because she is new to us.
And one with Minnie and Mickey because all our old pictures are gone and all we have is Goofy in AK.

Ohh- breakfast in line sounds like a swell idea- what about eating on the bus, is that allowed? We will eat yogurt and muffins probably.

...What character would you love your first picture to be with on your upcoming trip?

I like playing games while waiting for a trip :thumbsup2

We're going for 7 days/6 nights, hopefully with enough time to venture into the parks each day at some point. As for the FIRST character, I think I've finally convinced my family to meet Mickey himself as our very first activity together! So it had better be him.

We have a FP for the character spot in AK. So who ever is there will get the honour of being our first picture ;)

We are Going for 6 nights and 7 days. Five days in the parks.

Your just on time as a matter of fact. February is around the corner and everyone is getting excited! No worries. So you rather have a picture with Peter Pan 1st instead over the greatest Captain in the world hmmmm lol I suppose Peter Pan is ok pirate:

Ok I will play along. I will be there 7 nights and 8 days. Hmmm first picture..... Going to have to say Mary Poppins. Would hate to break my tradition!

So Captain David you have not shared what 2 characters you plan to have your picture taken with as well as duration of your trip!

Well that is very simple to answer, look at my screen name silly lol Captain Hook. I am heading for his area ASAP. I got my Captain Hook shirt all ready too.

My duration is going to be Ten days!!!

***And to clear things up My new good friend Nancy knows very well, that I plan on getting pictures with Anna and Elsa. I even have fast passes for it. That is why she is asking which two characters lol

I am doing this for my lovely niece. She is 10, going to be 11 in a month or so. Last December, '13, my brother, sis in law and niece went to Disney. Well as everyone knows, those lines were awful and they didn't get a picture with them. So, I have volunteered to do so for her. I will get one pic together with them and one separately that will go to niece. Heck maybe she will even like the picture of me with them. I have promised her this and well a promise is a promise, so this I shall do for my pal. My nickname for her. On a side note, I so desperately want a picture with Merida too, if that happens on the first day then, yay for me

Just wanted to let others know how wonderful that is, you sacrificing standing in line as a male to obtain a photo for your niece
