To be honest, we've eaten at Blue Bayou twice and neither time impressed us at all. If not for the new F! dining, I don't think we would eat there again.

DH is convinced that the third time has got to be the charm and we will get a fantastic meal there!

Thank you for this! I sure hope it's good - it darn well better be for the prices they charge!

I should mention that many people LOVE the food at BB, so it might just be us! I also hated the food at Cafe Orleans and my meal there still has the dubious award as the worst food I was ever served at disneyland.

Our holiday starts today, we are off to Canberra to fly to Sydney, stay over night in Sydney to fly out to USA in the morning... exiting and scary at the same time...catch you guys all later

Safe travels! Have a wonderful trip & do come back & let us know about it! :wave2:

Long day at work today, 2nd day this week my coworker didn't come in due to Flu...crossing my fingers & toes the germs stay away too. Actually had a few spare minutes (even though the rest of my day was hectic) and used them to print of reservations, gift cert etc and place in folder for trip....each day a little bit of Disney.pixiedust:

Looking forward to the weekend & a great super bowl at my brothers Hawk Cave. GO HAWKS! :thumbsup2

Hooray! Have a safe trip and I know you are going to have an amazing time! :yay: It all depends on some variables. How long will you need in the morning for everyone to get ready and out the door? Will you need to deal with luggage? What about checking out? Do you want to get in line early to get into the park and if so, how early? Also, how long are you budgeting for breakfast, Minnie and Friends is at least an hour, not sure about Storyteller's. Figure out how much time you will need to do everything and work backwards from that to figure out what time to wake up and if you can make it to your reservation on time.

I was figuring 1.5 hours for breakfast, but hopefully it's closer to an hour. We haven't had the best luck with character meals. We don't need to be there super early, I'd like to be walking over by 8:45. If we are mostly packed... I think we can be out the door in 45-60 minutes. So, it's doable if we are up by 6:15, which is late normally for my kids, but if they are up till 9 the night before it's possible they could sleep till 7ish. I'll probably wake them by 6:30 if needed, but if they seem exhausted, I guess we will just lose the $40. They are in that awkward stage where naps are good, but they aren't always tired enough to take one.

Ack! Down to less than a week to go :D I put the mail on hold while we are gone and have started my Von's list. I'm going to try and eat the majority of our meals at the villa (it has a kitchen) so here's to hoping I can keep it under budget. I will say, since we are flying Southwest and not coming from very far, I may just bring a food suitcase!

Hey Gisele, I just noticed that I don't have your dates listed in the first post on this thread! When are you going to be at Disney next month so I can update the list?

Made resies at the Blue Bayou for dinner our last night in Disneyland. I have never made reservations or eaten there.... so excited! Normally I hate having reservations because I don't like having to be somewhere at a certain time but I decided to give it a whirl!

Surf and turf here I come!! What do you all like to eat there?

Ordered Vons to be delivered to the hotel.

19 days! Eek! :dance3:

Yay! We've eaten there once before on New Years Eve a couple of years ago. It was great! Unfortunately, we did not get a waterside table (they weren't even accepting those requests because they were SO busy that night) but we really enjoyed it anyways. For the life of me, I can't remember what we had but I just remember it being really good.

This time just the hubby and I are going and we'll definitely be having the surf n turf! Can't wait!! :yay:

Well we leave on Monday morning! We need to be at the airport by 4:30am. Needless to say we will be heading to bed by 8pm tomorrow night, at least I hope. So yesterday I ran out to find a laptop case and found two Tommy Hilfigier suitcases on clearance for $16.99. What a steal! I couldn't believe how nice they were so I bought the two they had on clearance. I seriously felt like I was stealing! lol We are all packed and ready to go. The only thing we havent done is figured out how we're getting from the airport to the Park Vue. DBF wants to just get a taxi, they scare the crap out me. I just hate being the last drop off on Disney Express just because we aren't staying onsite. OH well. We may try super shuttle or prime time, but seem to have coupons online. What are the rest of you doing for transportation?

We used to grab a shuttle but after trying a taxi a few trips ago, we only use taxis now. It's not much more expensive than the shuttle, we never have to wait for others to get dropped off first and we don't get picked up by the shuttle 3 hours before our return flight.

We've taken Prime Time Shuttle two times & will be doing it again this yr. Fast, clean, drivers are entertaining (at least the past 2 we had). Our first year there was only one other family & the last time we had Shuttle to ourselves. We do use the coupon on the OC website and set up reservations online before we go. :moped:

We are using Lansky. I really liked that they will stop at a store on the way to the hotel so we can pick up some stuff for our visit. We have them booked for LAX-GCH-Hollywood-LAX. Total fare is $260. Worth it knowing we don't need to worry about transportation during our stay, since we're not renting a car.
