*****Official February 2015 Thread! Come check in and chat!*****

Here is one of my favourites tips, as it will save you time;

When buying a dole whip at the kiosk in front of the Tiki Room, DONT get in the long queue out the front, go in through the turnstiles, as there is a second much smaller queue in the TR waiting area. You can then leave via the turnstiles.

I also pass this secret on to the last person in the long queue :cool1:

That's a great tip!

I also read somewhere that instead of getting in the shortest line for ice cream, instead watch the people serving and go to the one who is giving the largest scoops! :thumbsup2

I'm nervous. Hoping we will be better off than previous schedule.

Ditto. I could live with the other one.

My tip is make time for the flag retreat ceremony. It happens before sunset, maybe 4:30 at Town Square (right inside the park past the train station). It is so simple yet beautiful.

I don't know...I was kind of getting used to the old schedule. Now I'm worried Winnie the Pooh might be closed. And that's really the only movie/character my son has really seen.

I wish there was more time before our visit to hear how the F! Pkgs worked. I am interested but like to be in the know prior.

Cross my fingers about less refurbs xxx Thanks for sharing! Did you read about Fastpass at Fantasmic Diner Options in Article? http://www.mouseplanet.com/10859/Fantasmic_Fastpass_at_Disneyland ::yes::

Thanks for posting this!

Depending on when F! is on during our trip, it looks like we will give Blue Bayou one final try. I really really hope it does not disappoint again!

Since the F! package starts at BB at 4, I wonder what time would be the best to go to get a waterside table with the minimal wait?

I would say early, like right at 4 but that's purely a guess. We had reservations for 7ish and it was PACKED!

I was also used to the old calendar and now I'm concerned other favorites will be down while we're there :( I sure hope that's not the case. Hopefully the new calendar comes out soon so we have time to get used to is.........lots of time is needed :rotfl:

I like the idea of FP for Fantasmic. I've never seen the entire show because we never want to wait for hours for a good spot.

I think the "dinner packages" seem like a rip off though.

We did the light pole trick in off season one time and only had to wait 40 mins before the show. No one wants to stNd behind a huge light but 10 mins before the show they went up.

Otherwise only seen parts from the sides. So excited to see the whole thing.i

It has been down for refurb the last 3 times we were at DLR

We've only seen it once, two trips ago we did the Dessert package and while it was nice having seats, it was a pain having to camp out to get in line to select seats. I think that we would have done it more often if they had made it possible to select your seats when you bought the tickets.

At least with the dinner packages you get to pick what you eat and if you have an AP, you get the discount.

Decisons, decisions, I'm down for the Double Tree for our 5 days at end of Feb, and now see I can get Disneyland Hotel for $199+ tax and I'm paying $145 inc tax per night for a Suite at Doubletree.

So umming and ahhing about moving hotels (£20 cancellation), either for all 5 days or just last 2 when we are more likely not going to be at the parks all the time.

Be nice to stay "on site", have only done that at Disneyland paris and then I stayed at one of the cheaper hotels.

And that is how I ended up cancelling our DI&S room and rebooking at the Grand Californian!

We officially booked, changing our dates by a day. We'll be at the Tropicana between 2/20 and 2/28. Be nice to fly back on Saturday, and have Sunday as a rest day before back to school and work. We are SUPER EXCITED!

I'm not in love with what we paid for flights or the hotel, but it is what it is. Last year for February, we got the rooms for under a hundred, and flights were under 300. This year we booked as a package, but the total was certainly more. Ah well, you get what you pay for!

Now we need to figure out transportation to and from SNA, get a car for 2 days in the middle, buy our tix (still waiting on the buy 3 day, get a 4 day deal), ADRs, and make room requests at the Trop.

I've corrected the first post so your dates and hotel are right.

As for transportation, we used to take a shuttle but the last 3 trips we have just grabbed a taxi. For the 3 of us it is only $15 more each way and it is so much faster and easier!
