Holy Hotness Batman!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I know alot of people say Derek is very full of himself however last night, he was amazing. Bonus points for his shirt off:love::love::love::love::love:

However, even if he had left that black shirt on, he still would have been amazing.

He is very talented and it showed last night. His partner she was fantastic as well!

In regards to Maks - such a shame, Derek came in and tried to ease the tense situation.

Also look at how much better Hope responded to the other Pro that helped while Maks was "injured". She did dance better but not as good as the others.

Nancy should have went home, not David yet, he was really doing well. I like Nancy but she just didn't have it last night, she was out of sync, she tried hard but not for her.

Oh well, we'll see what happens.

And, in Maks' defense (not that alot he has done lately has been easy to defend, but...) Hope very pointedly and nastily said several times how much EASIER she thought it was to dance with the other pro and how much NICER he was and how much more RELAXED she felt. Probably all true, but Maks has a big ego, and I think, like most egotistical people, he feels he is doing his very best and trying his very hardest and she just isn't getting it.

To hear her make those comments probably hurt his feelings and bruised his ego, and I think that explained a lot of the distance between them as well.

But if someone talked to you like that, why would you be nice to them. Even when she did do something right, he was not nice to her.

Maks has always had his ego but I have never seen him get mean and he was mean to her. The push said it all, then grabbing her just wasn't nessesary and Maks is an amazing dancer and very handsome.

Which is no excuse for him to act this way. I don't like Hope and I don't think Maks does either which is why they are arguing in this way. He does it every season because that is his way but, this time I truly think he doesn't like her and won't have a chance in the finals. Which is why he is so frustrated with her, she doesnt seem to want to try and she complains all the time. Put in some hours in the studio and then maybe you'll get the routine.

So I just watched last nights episode... didn't see David going home.

No more so than any of the other stars/pros. As has been pointed out before, most of the pros can get very nasty with their celebrities when they are frustrated - they are all quite egotistical, and most get mouthy at one point or another. Karina was snarking off to JR last night as well. Maks just invites the attention by mouthing off at the wrong times. Also, he makes good press, and that draws attention and ratings for the show - why would the producers NOT highlight it?? :confused3

I agree, he shouldn't have been quite so hands-on, but we always see that rehearsals can get quite violent - people get pushed, shoved, dropped on their heads, etc. Again, people are watching him right now, if he so much as breathes wrong the producers will show it, hoping people are out there watching and waiting for the next episode in the "Maks Saga" - more ratings!! :happytv:

Honestly, I think if he manhandled her too much, she would give him a good kick to the stones and wipe the floor with his butt. She is at least as strong and athletic as he is.

Totally agree. I admit, I was yelling, "NANCY!! Send Nancy home!!!"

FTR, Hope tweeted on Monday "My eyes have been opened!I'm not living in the real world!Hollywood gossip is truly gossip!Star magazine where do u get your sources! So sad." and "Hows this 4 a source!Hell, ill even attach my name 2 it!"I GOT NOTHING BUT MAD LOVE & MAD RESPECT 4 MY PARTNER @maksimC!"Go ahead, quote it!". So ... I guess I will not throw him under the bus quite yet.

She could also be doing damage control as she still wants to stay on the show as long as she can. The show's publicist may have told her to nip the bad rumors. Or she could be under a non-disclosure agreement. Has anyone in the past 14 seasons ever said a bad word about the show?

Don't they get several thousand dollars for every episode they are on? She might figure she can take the rough handling since it's only for a few more episodes. The good riddance to Maks! :headache: It's not like an athlete has much of a career or ways to get big money once their career is finally over. It's teaching and coaching after that.

Her Tweet doesn't exactly address how Maks treated her. Just that she has love & respect for him, and about Hollywood gossip.

I can respect someone's talent and still think they are an S.O.B. I respected Michael Jackson's genius as an artist. I would't be lying to say so. But, I still think he was an odd duck and a pedophile. (But, let's not go there. We've all argued that out on other threads here.)

There is a big difference in deliberately pushing, shoving, and being mean than accidentally pushing, shoving, dropping someone on their head.

BTW, did you gals see when Rob dipped Cheryl too low while she was doing a back bend and her head hit the floor? :headache:  I think you can hear the bang on the video.

Honestly, I think if he manhandled her too much, she would give him a good kick to the stones and wipe the floor with his butt. She is at least as strong and athletic as he is.

That's not necessarily true. There are lots of big, physically strong women who get manhandled and mentally & emotionally abused all the time. They don't necessarily coordinate. What someone is mentally, how they think of themselves and who they think they are in relation to the world can be quite different than how they are physically.

We also don't know what her upbringing was. If she grew up with a tough, mean, overbearing, dominating father, it may have helped her get to the Olympics, but that may have also taught her to accept rough treatment and NOT fight back.

There is on portion in the video, at the 1:38 mark, where Hope is standing up. She puts her arms out in front of her, and pushes them out to keep him away and says to Maks, "Stop. Will you stop?"

Maks: No. Which part to stop? I'm not sure what to stop.

Hope: Stop being you.

She's basically telling him to stop behaving the way he is. To me, this is her saying he's been like this for the past 7 weeks. this is who she knows him to be. Stop being you. She's become acclimated to it. She also hasn't been able to make him stop before this.

I get where you are coming from - really I do. I am all for standing up for people who are being abused, etc. Please don't get me wrong.

But this is a TELEVISION SHOW. Reality TV is NOT REAL. I just really don't think you can equate two people, on TV, getting crabby at eachother, to a chronically abused woman getting worn down at the hands of an abusive partner.

At the very least, the situation is being enhanced for publicity. At the most, if the producers were worried, they would step in and stop it, lest she sue the pants off them later on.

I just refuse to buy into the "Maks is evil and abusive" line of reasoning. My children fight and shove and push and I have heard lines like "just stop being you" and the like and all it means is they are immature and cranky at eachother.

She probably WAS told to tweet about the rumor, but the tweet was at 2:42 pm on Oct 31, well before the show was aired with the "abusive" segments. Imzadi, I think you're reading too much into things between Hope and Maks :flower3:.

Darn! I missed the results show and it sounded like Derek was amazing. My mil said she needed to fan herself while she watched! Apparently she liked the part where his shirt came off!

I'm not surprised David went home. Though I think he's done a better job dancing than Rob. I'd imagine David's problem is that his fan base was much smaller. Well that and the fact he looks like an out of control jack-in-the-box after he dances, he's much too hyper! However, Rob will stick around since there's like a million Kardashian sisters, right? They are probably paying people to vote for him. Nancy has a huge fan base and is plugging it on her own show. So I'm not surprised either of them are still here.

Maks. Sigh. I'm very disappointed with him this season. I think the reason he was so relaxed with Kirstie last season is that she was constantly stroking his ego...he'd get frustrated and she'd reply with something like "you're so hot!".

With Hope, he seems really stressed out which is interesting because I seem to recall him campaigning to get her for a partner in the past. He's way too rough with her though, way too rough. I sort of wish she'd kick his butt just to shut him up! Seriously though, the way he treats her is disrespectful...smacking her shoulders in group rehearsal and then whipping her around like a freaking rag doll. Totally unacceptable IMO. (And I remember when he was Mel B.'s partner that he was pulling at her and she smacked him away) So he seems to have this aggressive past with his partners. Hope looks completely over him and Maks looks like he's not even trying to veil his disappointment with her too. I hope the producers spoke to him about how he manhandled Hope. Her comment "stop being you" was very telling. Obviously this is normal Maks behavior in rehearsals with Hope and that's just soooo unprofessional. Derek really highlighted this fact when he gallantly stepped in after Maks threw his temper tantrum.

I have a feeling that Hope may be the next to go now, especially with Maks acting so horrid! My guess is that she'll be relieved. The judges have been harsh on her, Maks has been harsh with her and she's probably thinking what the heck did I sign on for. Oh and I was really annoyed when Maks made that comment about how he's losing faith in her too. Lovely to hear from someone who's teaching you. Talk about unmotivating and demoralizing.:sad2:

Normally, no I don't find Derek all that hot. But, that dance, channeling the essence of that dance with a partner who was channeling the essence of the pretty darn well herself - yea, it was all kinds of HOT!!
I sldo usually don't find him "hot" but that dance was hot and Derek was hot in the dance.

Another week of DWTS. Can we finally be lucky enough to see Nancy get the boot or will they gun for Hope? What do you think?

just saw the promo that tonight has the instant dance....I think Nancy, Rob or Hope are all under the gun...the Pro's are going to have to use steps that they know their partner remembers very easily. Personally, I'm o.k. with a double elimination :rolleyes1

I think that Nancy will be in the Final 3 just because of her popularity {{shudder}}. As long as she doesn't beat either J.R. or Ricki, I really don't care. I do wish there will be a better dancer in the #3 spot but, like Bristol before her, I don't think that's going to happen.

Don't the final 3 do the freestyle dance? I'm really having trouble picturing Nancy, Hope or Rob...the judges like Rob, but he's still *meh* to me...
