***Official DLR November 2021 Check-in Thread***

We are planning Nov.19-25, staying at the Portofino Inn and Suites. Hopefully nothing goes super sideways ( we booked a non refundable room). We are hoping to do 6 days in the park, but I don't know how to do that since they only sell 5 days and you have to make reservations. Normally I would just add a day once we are there but since it's Thanksgiving week, I'm nervous about doing that. Any ideas? I want to make the reservations but am unsure on what day to leave off.

You could buy a 1-day ticket online snd make a reservation in advance. I wish Disneyland did tickets longer than five days!

That's true; that thought did cross my mind. I also wish they would sell more days. Thanks for replying.

I just did our reservations and I didn't make one for the day we arrive. Sometimes flights don't go as planned etc., so I'll wait till we are there to worry about it. If we get in early enough and want to go the park, then I'll ask at the ticket counter, assuming there is availability.

The DISabilities group has details. There are about 4 green tent kiosks spread throughout each park. You can get the DAS at one of those (or at city hall, I believe) and you book each return time there.

You could also go to Downtown Disney and go see the big Gingerbread house in the Grand Californian. With the holiday things going on there's lots more to see.

That is a fabulous idea!! Thanks! We have not actually ever seen Disneyland with the Christmas overlay complete. We are usually there at Halloween time.

Any other suggestions for Christmas time?

We are planning to come down from Canada Nov 15-21. Using up our 5 day PH tickets pre-purchased from early 2019. Staying at the Marriott Convention Centre.

Booked for november 7th-13th at BWPPI! I will have just returned from DLR in September! I’m so stinking excited.

The Grand Californian is delightful at Christmas! There's usually (guess we'll see with covid..) carolers and handbell players in the lobby. We usually shop in Downtown Disney and then stop in there for a snack and to hang out for a bit.

We always watch the fireworks in front of the castle, even though you have to get a spot earlier, for xmas just because of the castle lights- it's worth it.

Getting a spot by it's a small world for the second parade of the day is the best because then you'll have a good spot for when they light up the attraction... then after the parade we get in line for it so we're in line at night when it's all lit up. I hope they have the parade!! 🤞

For the second year in a row, we've had to cancel our planned four-day November trip. Now looking to 2022.
Third time's the charm?

It's August 3.... either Disney has not yet posted their holiday schedule/plans, or they posted and I'm blind and not just not finding any information about it.

Anyone know? Holiday info was released last by the end of July (2019).

Hasn't been released yet so you'd think any day now we'll get info...

How is everyone doing with planning and booking going?

Hubby decided he doesn't want to spend the extra days to drive down so if flights do start up again to land at John Wayne we will book. West Jet's site says October they will resume but really who knows with all the last min cancellations and changes.

I just want that Christmas info already!! It's making me legit crazy they haven't announced it yet!

Nov 19-22 at candy cane! (If they open on time, back up at Camelot)

EDIT. Just got cancellation email from candy cane. Won’t be opening until spring 2022 now. Camelot it is!

Hi, My husband and I are planning a trip November 18-19 (park days). Right now, I have a great rate booked at King's Inn. I can't wait to get Christmas/Holiday information. Looking forward to reading about everyone's trip plans!

Well, given everything going on re: Covid, we have pretty much decided to cancel our November trip. All 3 of us are 99.99% sure we will cancel but DH and I don't want to make the final choice until it gets closer.

On a good note, I was able to find someone with DVC points to rent and have booked my 50th birthday trip next March!
