So I decided that the 3rd time is the charm and decided to order another special cake for our trip next week. We are staying AOA lion king suite so I ordered for YC (just did not want to chance CR bakery again) to be delivered to our room. There prices seem much higher than CR so I am hopeful to get a much better cake than our last 2 trips. I ordered 6 inch van/van buttercream filled, scuba diving themed for my DD. She just got her diving license so she is scheduled to dive the living seas at epcot this trip. YC has been great, they emailed me pics of another cake they did with this theme and the price quoted is $98. Will let y'all know Sunday night what the cake is like.

This has been a hard week and my emotions are running high as we had to bury my 16 year old cousin yesterday. She was killed in a wreck this week, so I know I am overly emotional right now but I am being extremely patient with them as they try to figure out what happened.

Just wanted to share that I was able to order a 6" cake with an image for BOG through a custom order form. Price is $38 + tax. I always read that images couldn't be placed on 6" cakes, so I thought I would share.

Here now and just returned to our room to get my daughters surprise cake! Surprise no cake, called and they can't find it! This has been a hard week and my emotions are running high as we had to bury my 16 year old cousin yesterday. She was killed in a wreck this week, so I know I am overly emotional right now but I am being extremely patient with them as they try to figure out what happened.

Well they finally found it, the decorations are exactly what I wanted. Cake is only 2 layers and very greasy but the decorations were perfect. It made my daughter smile for the first time since Wednesday, when sweet Kaylan was killed. That smile is worth the $120 price tag on the cake but I will tell anyone ordering that CR bakery did 4 layers for 1/2 the price and it was an 8 inch, this was 6 inches. But the decorations were more detailed than CR did for us in Sept. Decorations are what matters to my daughter so all is good. This cake came from yacht club.

Both of my boys celebrated their birthday's at The Crystal Palace. Ordered the cake through the Contemporary. Man they were surprised!

I need to order it by Friday and was hoping there was one I could see first.

Attempting to plan one 8 inch cake for our May trip, which will probably be an anniversary cake for the husband and myself. And two mini wedding cakes, 1 for each kid, a kindergarten graduate and a 3 year old celebrating a birthday.

I think cake planning is as exciting as ADR planning. LOL I LOVE this thread!!!

Yes, you can get the slipper for MK, The Contemporary and Grand Floridian restaurants The mini cake comes through the hotline as well

Ok so we got our cake tonight and it was perfect!!!! So beautiful and delicious and moist. Except it said "happy birthday Donna" no clue who that is ROFL. It was supposed to say "happy holidays ourlastname". Also they quoted me $80 and our dining bill said 8" cake $35?? Is it possible they charged my credit card I called to reserve the cake???

I'll post pics when we get home. But if you're thinking of Yacht club I def recommend it. The cake was outstanding and gorgeous!!

You can see the birthday candles still on it and the blob of frosting that held the "happy birthday Donna sign" all trip long we got jokes out of that, next day at LTT they were singing happy birthday to someone, and my FIL said "I hope that's not Donna cuz she's probably crying tears of joy saying, finally someone got it right!" and we kept calling each other Donna. Good times!

. Could it be because the banner was missed up that they charged you less. They forgot to bring out a truffle and chocolate covered strawberries with Darth Maul Donald Duck image out for our anniversary until finally asked the server while my husband was in the restroom. So instead of $65 it was free of charge. Beautiful cake though.

Very cute! I love your attitude. I'd take the glob of icing & incorrect sign for a cake that nice for the price you paid too.
