My brother & I are taking our Dad for his first trip in August. He will be turning 66, and we are going to be at 1900 Park Fare for his birthday dinner. I want to order a special cake, but even after searching this board (and google!) I can't seem to come up with just the right idea.
I would like to find something that showcases the classic movies/characters... on a nice fondant cake.
Do you think they could do movie reel with the different characters in each frame? It would be so fun to have a "hey, we've been waiting for you" message built in to the images, but I just don't know a.) how many image choices they have, assuming they can print images b.) if they can frame them to look like a movie reel.
I'm open to suggestions though. Thoughts??

If it were me, I'd go for something more impressionistic than literal, like a black cake covered with red designs like the ones on Darth Maul. But you could also do a simple buttercream cake with a screen print of your family's favorite characters, or the logo or something. I think there's a lot of potential in the Star Wars universe...

. I thought it would be to much cake. But I am thinking of doing one when we go in June. I have had a cakes done at both Contemparay and the Grand Floridian. I perfer the Contempary. They are helpful and easy to work with. Hope this helps
