Suggestions please!
I'm stumped. I know I want to order a special cake for my family on our first dinner but we aren't celebrating any birthdays or any real event. This is our big sigh-of-relief trip after having a particularly rough year this year. I guess you could say we're celebrating survival. So, if I were to order a special cake for my awesome family of fellows what would you suggest for a theme or style? :
i contacted cakeman brian at Caifornia Grill a few weeks ago about a 'sea themed' cake for our honeymoon trip (we got married at the beach in newport) and before we settled on a design, he suggested mickey and minnie in beach attire. Maybe something playful like that.
. They all simply transfer me back to CRT, who only insist that I can only order a slipper???
.
Brian, I'll definitely be getting in touch with you before my trip next August!
From what I have read here, the results can be hit or miss. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Pat was really nice though, when I mentioned our three kids would love the cake, she suggested telling the hostess to have the cake on the table as a centerpiece so we could enjoy looking at it while we had dinner.
