Wanted to provide an update:
I sent an email to the address listed in the first post and told her I needed a birthday cake for Steakhouse 71. She (Glorimar) replied with some basic questions and forwarded my email to the pastry team at Contemporary. The Sous pastry chef emailed me back right away and requested some inspiration pictures and a good time to connect on details and pricing.

Seems like things are constantly changing.

@BSwest, did you already go on your trip? How did it work out?

I've had custom cakes made in the past for my daughter when she was very young. We are heading down prior to Christmas to celebrate her 21st birthday. Any recommendations on a tasteful 21st birthday theme the cake should be? We are going to be drinking around the world but not sure if they would bake anything alcohol related.

Depends on her Disney interests but I always thought a mad hatter whimsical cake would be great for an adult.

We used Daisy cakes Orlando for our haunted mansion portrait cake. It does get tedious to carry the cake around (delivered to bell services at AKL and I had to carry it in to Boma);

You could also just focus on the “around the world” aspect for the cake, rather than the drinking part. Maybe it could have flags or icons from all the countries in World Showcase, with a white chocolate Spaceship Earth on top.

Ordering a cake from Daisy Cakes Orlando for our DD’s 6th birthday. Delivery to AKL (for dinner there). Will post pictures later. $180. Asked for Baby Moana with a wave on top and heart of Tifiti on the face of the cake. Will post pictures later (we go end of Nov).

Just and FYI Daisy Cakes Orlando is charging about $30 and Erin McKenna approx. $20 delivery fee (despite a minimum order of 6 cookies for about $45) to WDW restaurants/resorts.

I ordered once from Daisy cakes Orlando and it was pumpkin flavored. It was the best cake we tasted and was delicious and soft. The fondant was toffee flavored and we ate pieces of it alone. It was 6 inch but we ate over many days. It fit in the Art of Animation suite fridge with a tray removed in the box it came in. You would have to carry it from the restaurant (we ordered at Boma) back to your resort so plan on it being an end of day thing. You can’t light candles in your room. It was so beautiful people stopped by and asked where we got it.

This time we are ordering half strawberry and half vanilla (6 year old’s demand) baby Moana with wave theme to be delivered to Boma.
