Lurkyloo is there an email I can confirm the order I placed with Poly for the cake for 5/24? Katie is wanting me to add that it is 14th birthday, and that way hopefully it won't be "childish" (frozen themed cake).

There's no official email address for cake ordering at the Poly, so I'd just call the same number you did to place the order and have them enter a note on the order. :thumbsup2

They only need 72 hours' notice. My fingers can't count that high, but I think you're still OK if you call, like, right NOW. It depends on where you want the cake delivered. Go to Post #2 and find the park or resort where you want to have the cake. The phone number is listed right next to the name. Describe what you want or ask for an email address so you can send in a photo. :thumbsup2

I was hoping to have it delivered at animal kingdom lodge but I just wasn't sure if they are able to do this kind of cake. I can have it delivered to the castle as well if I have too. Which do you think I have a better shot at getting what I want?

That's a fairly basic cake design, so I don't think you'll have trouble getting it at either place. I'd have it delivered wherever is most convenient (i.e., where you won't have to lug it around as much).

Here's a fun mini cake a friend of mine had made by BoardWalk Bakery.

She says: "It was almond with amaretto cream filling. I added the little Stitch myself. I just asked for beach-themed, and the BoardWalk Bakery came up with it! It's graham crackers rolled on the top layer to look like sand and the little sea creatures are white chocolate. It was $25!"

Just ordered a cake for our dinner at whispering canyon cafe.

8 inch vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream. Total was $85. $35 for the cake, $15 for fondant and $35 for special theming. I told them to do a fireworks theme. Can't wait to see it on the 27th!!

I forgot to post what mine was going to look like from Nov. 2012 so I guess it's better late than never. Here's the info from 2012 (sorry it's outdated) but may help give you all an idea of what I had created:

Chocolate cake; buttercream frosting and cream cheese filling

Does the Boardwalk Bakery have some cakes in the case for sale? I would like to get a small cake but would like to pick from what they have available. It seems when I have been in the Boardwalk before I have seen a few cakes for sale.. any thoughts ?

I scanned several pages and didn't see the answer to this, so if it has already been answered, so sorry for the duplicate!

How do I place a cake order from Boardwalk Bakery, and will they deliver to Animal Kingdom Lodge?

Thanks!!

Yes! They keep 6-inch cakes in all-chocolate or all-vanilla on hand to sell to walk-ups for $23. If you wanted anything bigger or different flavors, you'd need to order 48 hours ahead.

First trip to Disney coming up here next month. We (2 kids, grandma, and I) will be having dinner at BOG on our first night. Is it worth it ordering a cake and how good are they? I'm just kinda on the fence here! :cool1:

The cakes are good, but do you really wanna tell the kids they can't have something off that dessert cart they've seen rolling around the dining room all evening? :goodvibes For a first visit, I say enjoy the full BOG experience!

Missastrocat, curious if you were happy with your cake since it differs from the design you gave them?

This is what I am worried about, giving them a sketch of what we want and them creating something different. I would welcome all opinions from whomever is reading this. Thank you!

Just ordered a mini tiered cake for my parents reservation at Le Cellier later this month! Asked for sapphire colored mickey dot heads (45th anniversary color) and accents. I think it was vanilla with white chocolate buttercream filling and fondant on top (all white chocolate or vanilla choices but I was distracted when ordered on the phone so I just know its all white variations...didn't want to complicated it and knew they liked vanilla stuff) Now I just have to hope they remember to take a picture of it since we will be at Chef Mickey's when they receive it! Thankfully I paid by CC so they didn't get the bill haha.
