Here's the mini cake I had delivered to Villa Wilderness Lodge.
Made by Contemporary. It was $35, total $46.77 with tax, gratuity, and delivery charges.
Chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling. All frosting, no fondant.
Looked just like the pdf file I sent in... not that it was complicated.
Very tasty and moist. We had 3 of us and we had it first night and next afternoon.
The cake was in the fridge when we got back from the park. We were in a 1 bedroom but they also had delivered plates, forks, and a knife along with a small plate with a book of matches and candles under saran wrap.
First visit for my friends, not me. :-)

Here is the birthday cake my DH ordered for me from AKL for our lunch at Sanaa. The CM who took the order was nice, but fought him on almost everything he wanted. Initially the cake was going to be delivered to our room, but the CM said we needed to be physically in the room (not just checked in) to receive the cake. Also, apparently AKL will no longer make custom 6 inch cakes, so this one was an 8 inch. The two of us got through about 2/3 of it.

DH asked for a Christmas theme with a white chocolate Donald (he asked for a holiday picture, but was told they didn't have one), with 'Happy Birthday' written on a white chocolate scroll (was told they couldn't do that). After some pushing, they relented on letting him order an almond cake with amaretto mousse (the flavors of our wedding cake), but initially didn't want to do that either. It was covered in buttercream. It could be because I had a little bit of a cold, but their buttercream didn't taste quite as rich or flavorful as I'm used to from other Disney cakes or cupcakes.

He specifically had to ask our server at Sanaa about the cake, and it actually took them awhile to find it, so it's a good thing it wasn't supposed to be a surprise. The cake itself was very good (but not quite as good as the almond/amaretto cake we had from the GF), and cost $55 before gratuity. Overall, I really liked the cake - I just don't understand why the process has to be so difficult. I will probably order a cake again for our anniversary trip, but I think next time I'll try going through the Contemporary or Yacht/Beach Club.

I'm about to give up :( Still no call from the chef at the Resort. So I called our breakfast location and they do fancy cakes, so I'm waiting for a call back from THEIR chef. I was hoping that I could have it made and kept until noon when our dinner restaurant opens and sneak off to bring it over. But the dinner location won't "store" it. I've been working on this for nearly a month now and I'm no closer to getting this completed. It's so disappointing :( Thankfully, since it's a surprise no one will know but me if it doesn't work out. Next time, I'll know to make sure we book dinner at a place that does fancy cakes.

We are back from our trip earlier this month. I ordered a Rowlf cake from Chef Brian for delivery at Chef Mickey's during breakfast. There was nothing written regarding the cake when we sat down. We were actually finishing up and my boyfriend went to the bathroom so I quickly called over the waiter to find out where the cake was and luckily he found it and it remained a surprise. My boyfriend loved it!

The cake was chocolate with chocolate ganache and peanut butter frosting filling. It was delicious!!

I tried posting pictures but it didn't work. How can I post pictures?

Cake above was ordered through Pat at the Grand Floridian. I asked for a cute Yeti theme. Marble cake chocolate mousse filling white ganache frosting. He loved it. It had a cute light that changes colored too. Gave her a budget of $100 and the cake was $95 before tax and tip.

Delivered to 1900 Park Fare at dinner.
Thanks for all the ordering info. We have another one set for delivery at Be Our Guest on Saturday.

I ordered a cake at AKL for my hubby & we received it last Monday.
When I ordered it I was told someone would have to be in the room for delivery. After calling back I was told my order was marked for delivery by 7:30 pm to the room & we didn't have to be there.
However, we arrived at the room about midnight after a MK day & no cake.
The room service dining closes at midnight so I went to the desk downstairs. After 30+ minutes they were able to locate someone & the cake was delivered to our room.
Really liked the cake but the surprise was ruined.
I ordered a safari style cake with safari Mickey & Minnie on it. Red velvet with cream cheese filling & buttercream icing. It was really good.
However, I problary won't order a cake again because of the delivery problems.

You used to have to have 10 posts as well... that might still be a rule. :(
I wonder if that's still the case because I don't see UPLOAD A FILE belox the post box.

Here is the mini cake I ordered from the Beach Club Resort for my mom's birthday during our recent trip the first week of December. The cake was almond, with raspberry mousse filling. It was delicious, but we had so much food all week, we ended up only eating the top portion! She was so surprised and I'm very glad I ordered the cake for her. Beach Club Private Dining was very easy to work with, everything was as I asked, and the cake was delivered to our room as promised. I pre-ordered the Cinderella slipper dessert for her birthday dinner at Narcoosee's, and we received complimentary mini cheesecakes since we both had birthdays that week!

What was on the plate with the white chocolate slipper? Looks like something chocolate?

Hello everyone! I'm looking for some suggestions! My son will be turning 5 in January and we are having a little birthday party at Chef Mickeys for about 11 people. He loves Mickey and Buzz especially but likes cars too! Do any of you have pictures or suggestions for what you did for your little guys? Please let me know! Thank you!

I need some help with Erin Mckenna Bakery cakes for a way to surprise mom during her Birthday Luncheon at Morimoto Asia in May. How are Erin Mckenna cakes? Are they of the same quality as the ones from Contemporary resort? Are they able to do like Disney Characters on the cakes I don't see a lot of Erin Mckenna Cakes on this thread, so I was wondering about their qualify.

It's a chocolate "boat" containing chocolate mousse.

Erin McKenna's only makes cakes that are vegan and gluten-free, so they are pretty much nothing like the ones from the Contemporary. People with dietary restrictions seem to like their products. I've had a few and did not care for them. From what Erin McKenna's has told posters to this thread in the past, it sounds like they cannot do Disney characters either. What about some Sprinkles cupcakes from Disney Springs? Or hiring a local bakery to deliver to Morimoto Asia, like It's Tasty Too or Party Flavors?

I had never heard about It's Tasty Too or party Flavors Bakery. My mom wouldn't like Gluten Free and Vegan cakes. Heck, I wouldn't care for them and I eat Vegan occasionally as part of lifestyle change. Thanks for the suggestions.
