The cake was gorgeous with the accent lights. We had delivered to Narcoosee's on our last night and received many compliments on it. It was 10" chocolate cake with raspberry mousse filling. If I remember correctly the final cost was $120 (I called and changed from fondant to buttercream icing) I just asked for Frozen theme and it was spectacular!!

OK, this thread needs a boost. How about this Wreck It Ralph cake Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings just posted?

Do you know who made this cake? I had called to get Pat to make a Ralph themed cake for my DS. She said she had never made one. So I switched to a monster inc themed cake. I love this one though!! So cute!!

I remember seeing 2 different chocolate slippers. The CRT one had sponge cake under the slipper. Is that still the case? If not can I request it? All of the recent pictures I've seen just have the slipper with mouse and a side of berries.

Looks like that wedding was at Living Seas Salon in WDW, so the Grand Floridian pastry team made it. Pat is not a member of the pastry team, she is a Private Dining staffer. This cake was arranged through Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings, not Private Dining, so that's why she wasn't aware of it. But I say, if that's what you really want, send her the pictures! :thumbsup2

The slipper is only served with the cake at CRT, so you may have seen photos from the Grand Floridian or elsewhere on property. If you're worried, though, best to ask the MK Cake Hotline (phone number and email in Post #2).

We had the slipper dessert at CRT in October, I did pre order it for our anniversary, it did not contain any cake.

Everyone was so helpful with answering all my questions for my husband's birthday cake at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. We ordered it for dinner there as it was my husband's 40th birthday. I called a few times to confirm that the cake would be yellow cake, with chocolate filling and chocolate icing. Plus white chocolate mickey with silver accents. Since it was his big 40th, I asked that the number 40 be as much as possible. The girl who I ordered from (room service or something) over a month in advance assured me it would be noted and they would put it all over tastefully. Perfect!
We get to Yachtsman a little late (less than 15 min tho) as we just drove from Disney's Vero Beach that morning and spent the morning and afternoon at Magic Kingdom. Our room had not been ready as promised at the Contemporary so we were late trying to manage it all. But we get there within what I think is a reasonable time frame. We have been to Yachtsman over a dozen times so I was surprised to here them give me somewhat of a hard time over being late. The restaurant was maybe half full and it was 7:30pm. Regardless, we let it go and I secretly try to sneak away to confirm the cake it there. The hostess tells me there is no cake listed on our reservation. ???!!! I ask to see a manager and she goes in the back, finds our $75+ cake, and comes by and gives me thumbs up. Dinner was wonderful. Waiter brings out the cake but basically places it there and asks if he can take it back to cut it up. What??!! I ask him to have 5 min or so, so that we can sign Happy Birthday and take a couple pictures. It looks awesome!!! No 40th decorations though so I was a bit disappointed in that. Waiter comes back and tells us he can cut it or we can take the whole thing home. Seems like he didn't want to be bothered. We ask him to cut the cake in half and split the half in 4. We're a cake-loving family so everyone was super excited to dig in. And it was a Sara Lee cake. Even if the cake isn't the best, you can bet my son will eat it. He had one bite and put it down! My husband nicely ate half and I couldn't stomach it. It was hard, cold, dry, etc. The chocolate Mickey was delicious though!
From my experience, don't go through Yacht and Beach Club food service for your cake. Go to the Boardwalk Bakery, pick something up, or order from there to pick it up. Very disappointed. The day was amazing, and the cake was super cool so I'm glad I did it. But I didn't think I could be as disappointed in a cake made by Disney.
I can't get the image to show up but here is the link to the photo of the cake.

I'm so sorry about the cake, Melissa. What a shame it tasted so bad you couldn't even eat it!
It was very nice to look at, tho. And you certainly did the best you could!:thumbsup2

DH and I will be staying at The Beach Club next month for our 25th anniversary and I would like to have chocolate covered strawberries with a white chocolate Mickey delivered to our room. How would I go about ordering that?

Call Yacht & Beach Club Private Dining at the number listed in Post #2 and see if they offer anything like that. The white chocolate Mickey should be no problem. Not all the resorts offer chocolate-covered strawberries, though. :thumbsup2

Last month I had this cake made for hubby's 40th birthday. I used an off-site bakery - Cha Cha's Delights. I think it came out great, and it tasted REALLY good too! It was red velvet with cream cheese filling and buttercream icing under the fondant. Very good!! The HM logo was an edible image, and the tombstones were made from fondant.

We also got some Mickey and Minnie sugar cookies.

Hi everyone, I have tried searching and looking at the links on page 1 to find this answer but it is not working very well with the app...

It is my dh's 40th and dd's 6th on the same day when we are in MK. I want to do something special for our CRT reservation. I know the options for dd but any suggestions for DH? Do they have any prince themed cakes or anything? Open to suggestions!

That is very cute! And I bet it cost 1/10 of what Disney charges. Very discouraged lately to read about all the inedible $100 cakes :faint:

Did ChaCha deliver this cake to a Disney resort or restaurant?

Does he have any favorite characters or pastimes? I usually just Google image search for cakes and whatever the character/pastime is and get plenty of inspirational images.
