Ok, ladies! Need your help, send me some pixie dust!!! My dizzy spells came back...yesterday was so bad, I couldnt drive myself home from work... Couldnt sit here at the computer....My ears still hurt and feel pressure in them....Today is the ear doc visit I have been waiting for over 2 weeks for...Hopefully, he'll give me the answer I am looking for (inner ear infection), good antibiotics, etc.....My WDW trip is in 25 days, and it is hanging in the balance

I'm sending good thoughts your way. I really hope you'll be okay, especially for your trip.

Well ladies (and Orli ) the news isn't exactly what I had anticipated....The doctor said (exact words) that my symptoms are ''too funky'' to be an inner ear infection..Even though my ears hurt, they feel full and pressured, there was no drugs she could give me, nothing she could do....They are scheudling me for a brain MRI , and sending me to a neurologist...Also, she found, by accident as she was checking my glands, that my thyroid is enlarged...Now I need an ultrasound for that
She said I will most likely have to cancel my upcoming WDW trip This trip was special, a get together of about 40 of us.
I dont know how fast they can order my tests and fix the problem, so it is likely that I cant go.

Oh that is crappy. I am sorry that you need more tests and that you have to miss your WDW trip. Maybe just maybe they can get the tests done before and you can still go I hope so.

athenna-I am praying for you too...I hope they get to the bottom of your dizzyness. If you have trip insurance I would keep the trip on until you get a confirmation(or 2nd opinion). Becauser oddly enough my dizzyness does not affect me in Florida. ALso have you considered getting a humidifer for your house/apt to see if that helps...

Well, I am DVC member (you are too, aren't you?) and if I cancel 1-30 days out, the points will go into a holding account, and I would have to use them by 10/08...In terms of airfare, I checked JetBlue, just in case and they charge $45 a person for cancellations (as long as it's not the same day that you're flying).
I haven't given up hope yet, and if I have to wait until the last minute, so be it...My best friend is keeping her suitcase at the ready

Athenna- at least the thyroid is all controllable(even if it means obliterating it) ...I hope you know what I mean. The thyroid if it is under active can be corrected, if it is over active it can be corrected, and sometimes it needs to be taken out(usually by radiation I believe) and again that can be corrected with a synthetic. I am praying all is ok, it is the MRI that would make me the most nervous. Did you get any results on that? I hope you get answers soon. I want you to feel better.

I know that the thyroid is controllable, it's just one more thing to worry about.
The MRI did make me the most nervous, not the MRI itself, it's the waiting for the results that is making me crazy already....They told me I wouldnt get the results of either test until my follow up visit w/the ear doc that ordered them-11/21 by then I'll be a basket case...I already am now!
