All that is necessary to continue the franchise is Captain Jack, honestly...Barbossa as well...As much as I love W & E, their storyline is finished Plus JD, has said he would love to continue playing CJS, while both Orli & Keira have said they would like to do something else.

Sorry I've been gone so long. I'm helping take care of my aunt. She's been battling cancer for over 10 years but lately she's gotten worse and I've been taking her to her radiation treatments.

Kim, hun, believe me I understand...I saw the movie at DTD midnight showing the 1st night....After being out & about all day, (having PMS) and the movie ending after 3am, I was crying my eyes out and got 2 hrs sleep.....But once I like it soak in, after I thought about the after credits, I was ok.

I for one am happy...I love seeing Orly in other roles. The CJS role went so huge it seemed that Orly was in a shadow. Now that he is getting older it will be so refreshing for him to be out of the sequel and on to something new.

Not that I don't LOVE the pirate ...and trust me I will be getting my DVD on the 1st day available...I can't wait...anyone know the date of release? I wasn't too contraversial with that post was I

Nope, not too controversial at all! As much as I love Will (really Athenna, you're kidding? ) Orli does need to move on to be able to grow as an actor...Which is why it's so great he is doing theater right now, he needs a change.
Yes, the DVD date has officially been released -12/4.

I agree Terri , as much as I loved him as Will Turner it is time for something new. He was Legolas for three movies and Will Turner for three movies I can't wait to see what he does next.....I don't know if there are anymore trilogies for him

^Okay, I'm responding about the thread you linked, Kim.

I was so bummed when I saw how AWE ended that I was ecstatic when I heard about what the writers had left out. I know not everyone agrees as to whether Will is still captain after 10 years but I've made up my mind to believe the happy ending.

I'm hoping that the deleted scene with Tia Dalma and Davy Jones is on the DVD. Oh, and how the heck do they think we can wait until December for it to come out?!

That's funny I thought that was explained in the movie. I didn't even see the final scene but I remember explaining to DBF that Davy Jones wasn't fulfilling his duty in taking souls to the other side because he was angry at Tia Dalma(or whatever her name was).
In the scene where she is locked up and he talks to her, he asked her why didn't she show up and she kind of told him that it was her way. I can't remember the exact scene but I could've sworn someone in the movie said that he would have been free if she would've shown up.

Or maybe I imagined it.

Oh well, I prefer to believe that Will is free now. A little disappointed that Orli won't be in 4 but he seems to have a trilogy curse on him. If he did a fourth movie it might be a serious bomb and his luck would run out.
