I was thinking the exact same thing about Mike & Ian. I wish they would dig something up on Ian so I wouldn't like him. Susan belongs with Mike, but Ian isn't a bad guy either so it's hard to want her to leave him.

Oh the drama..............................

You all don't think Ian is a little ... controlling? :crowded:

That's EXACTLY how I feel about Ian. Blech!

How'd you like Carlos' shirt when he was on his date? My DH wore the same shirt yesterday to our nephew's Christening. Oh, and both Carlos and my DH filled the shirt out... just right.

How did Tom know that Lynette would wear that red dress when he was fantasizing about the limo and horse-drawn carriage? :upsidedow

I was disappointed with the whole "all the family finding out Danielle was pregnant" story. yes, Orson's face was priceless, but I would have loved to witness Bree's reaction

Yes me too!!!! That would have great to see Bree's reaction. Because you know she would have just had that smile on her face saying and just come up with that plan. Remember when Danielle had a fit at dinner a while back and threw the plate against the wall? She had no reaction at all, just came up with a solution right there. :rotfl:

OK, I'm missing something. I know why Marcia Cross isn't there, but happened to the character of Bree. Where was she and how did she get there. I thought we left off with her still in the hospital? :confused3

'Wait till the kids find out you saw a real coyote' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl:

Tonight was a good episode.

I am starting to really like Orson, I think he's creepy but I like him anyway.

There is something about Ian I don't like. I'm sure something will be dug up about him.

They showed Bree (not her face) in the very beg. of the show get in a Taxi. They said she was leaving for her honeymoon. Orson was going to meet her.

[B]At first glance, tonight's episode looked like it might be a last minute re run. :confused3 But, alas no it was not......

Seems like Mary Alice got the heeve ho as the narrator. The LATE Rex VanDeKamp stepped in to tonights role as the narrator of all the fun.

Rex picks up the show in the cemetary. He shows us his old house, intorduces us to the family :happytv: and tells us how he feels about Orson "the clown". An obvious stand in for Marcia Cross hugs her children goodbye and climbs into a waiting cab for a supposed trip to see her parents.

After we see the cab pull away from the curb,
Rex goes on to show us that Mike Delfino is one of the friends that really knows Orson. Orson and Mike discuss the last night of Moniques life and then Orson reminds Mike that the police would be curious to learn that Mike tossed Orson off the roof of the hospital and maybe they should just learn to be neighborly, instead of just trying to make trouble for each other.:flower3:

Carlos seems to have a date tomorrow night. He asks Mike if he wouldn't mind leaving the house the next day and offers to put him up in a hotel. Carlos goes on to describe his hiatus from a sex life and needs to make up for lost time! Mike agrees as he walks out the door.

Lynette tells Tom that the restaurant that he had made Anniversary ressies at had called to confirm, but that Lynette told them to cancel as she is just so tired from all the excitement and work they have put into the pizzeria,
as she brushes her teeth (with no water I might add, eewww) When Tom says he will be wanting sex that night, Lynette tells him fine "just try not to wake me" :happytv:

Ian shows up at Susan's with an engagement ring that Susan promptly models and then promptly drops on the floor as it will need to be sized.
Ian wants Susan to get the ring sized immediately and also wants the wedding to be held next month.

Next we see what I surmise is the reason for Ian's hastiness....Mike in the hospital picking up his forgotten belongings from the nurse. When he sees a diamond ring mixed in amongst them, he tells the nurse that he thinks it is not his. She picks it up and reads the convenient inscription "To Susan, be Mine forever, Mike" he then seems to remember.....:scratchin

Edie is now knocking on the door to which Carlos answers. Edie then introduces Carlos to her son Travis. Carlos remembers Travis from Halloween trick or treating. Edie goes on to explain to Carlos that her ex husband has dropped the kid off for 4 weeks so the ex can go off to Kenya and fix cleft palates or some such fun. Edie also wants Carlos to baby sit tonight. When he declines, she calls for Travis and unhappily leaves.

Next we see Gaby crossing a street from a busy day of shopping. 2 men, one of them being a politician and the other his driver, then decide to have a little fun and bang into her car in traffic. Gabrielle is not pleased as she gets out of the car to review the damage, when one of the men hits on her. As he writes Gabby a check for 5 thousand dollars, he informs her that his name is Victor Lang and that he is running for Mayor. Gabby seems unimpressed as she grabs the check and leaves. Victor isn't worried though, he will see Gabby again as he never signed the check. :lmao:

Austin gets into Julie's car and she tells him to get lost. Austin wants Julie to read a letter and that he will never bother her again. Oh, I forgot to note that Julie was passing through a car wash when this is all happening! She tells Austin that she will read the note if he gets out of the car and leaves her alone.

Back at the VanDeKamp/Hodge household, Andrew needs to use the bathroom to brush his teeth. Except for Danielle is having a really bad day and opens up the door to announce that she is preggers!! As she holds up the pregnancy test stick and crying...

Seems Susan and Mike both had a day at the jewelers. Mike is trying to return his ring to the jeweler, and Susan is in to get her ring from Ian sized.
Ooops! seems the jeweler cannot locate the ring sizer, so she asks Susan to try on Mike's ring to see if that one fits. :confused3 :confused3 Like that would ever happen. Anyway, Mike's bauble does fit and Susan tells the other woman that it's "perfect" :coffee:

Carlos is mowing the lawn when Tom walks up and asks Carlos about a cousin of Carlos that owns a limo service. He wants to surprise Lynette and fills Carlos in on the plans he has made. You just know SOMETHING will go wrong with this plan, you just KNOW it!!

Fast forward now to:

Victor Lang is giving an interview to a journalist when Gabby walks in. Seems she has noticed that Victor has forgotten to sign the check. When the future Mayor asks her out to dinner, she declines. When he informs her how much his Daddy is worth, she suddenly decides she will go out with him.

Mike is repaying Ian for the lawyer costs. Mike, he then tells Ian all about the sudden windfall he came into with the ring that he didn't realize he had when he was in the accident. Ian then blurts out that Mike should've maybe kept the ring plus the fact of the inscription, which causes Mike to ask Ian how he knew it had been inscribed. Whoopsie! (which if you think about it, this makes no sense unless Mike would happen to propose to another woman named Susan) :coffee:

Austin is shocked to hear about Danielles pregnancy. When Danielle tells Austin that he could marry her, he then tells Danielle that he can't stand her!:rotfl:
Danielle then runs off to the potty to um puke, when Julie walks in to tell Austin that she read the letter, and it just about made her cry. As we hear "Austin's Aunt" puking in the bathroom (he told Julie this little lie)Julie tells Austin that she will want to take things slow, as it will take her time before she can trust him again but that she will go back out with him.

Gabby and Mr Lang are out to dinner. Gabby tells Lang that he is so full of crap and that she realizes that the driver had hit her on purpose and that she knows he never signed the check on purpose. This would also be their last date and that she isn't interested. Seems Gabby thinks she can do better. Victor tells Gabby that he will fight for her though. As Gabrielle gets up and leaves the restaurant, Victor informs Bruno the waiter that he (Victor) will marry that woman (meaning Gabrielle).

Meanwhile, Carlos is getting busy with his date. They are prancing all over the living room, smooching up a storm, when Carlos hears a basketball dribbling in the roadway followed by Edie's son Travis.
Carlos's date then proceeds to drag Carlos upstairs by the belt buckle and undress him telling him that her therapist calls her compulsive. Carlos is concerned about Travis though and pulls his pants back up and goes outside to talk to the boy.
When Carlos takes the boy back in the house however, his date storms out.

Later, when Edie gets home, she finds a note on her door that Carlos left for her. When Edie goes over to retreive the boy, he then chews her out about leaving the kid alone. He tells her to leave the boy there for the night as he is already sleeping and to come back in the morning when she is sober.

The next morning, Edie tells Carlos that she knows she is a failure and not a good Mother. She tells Carlos all about how she gave up her custody of her son and Carlos then tells Edie that he will help her when she needs a sitter.

Tom is busy on the phone planning his date with Lynette. When she catches him and presses Tom for answers, she tells Tom that she just wants a hot bath and goto bed early but he doesn't listen. He gets upset and walks away.

Orson tells Andrew and Danielle that he is off to see Bree, but Andrew wants to talk first. Orson asks if it can wait, Andrew then says "Sure, it can wait 9 months"

We then jump back to Lynettes for some reason. Lynette is telling the neighbor that she cant sleep after all. The doorbell rings.

Back to Orson. Austin has now joined the happy bunch, so Orson then proceeds to tell Austin and Danielle that clearly marriage is not the answer. He decides that Danielle should join Bree and Orson on the honeymoon and that when they return, Danielle will then go off to boarding school until the baby is born and is adopted by a suitable family. Orson then tells Austin that he should get outta town. Austin refuses saying that he won't leave Julie now that she has taken him back. Austin goes on to tell Andrew that he can't leave if Julie is going to give him another chance. Andrew tells Austin that Julie is a nice girl and deserves better and that Austin will end up cheating on her. Austin insists that he won't hurt Julie again though.

Carlos and Tom are getting ready for a poker game at the pizzeria, along with Mike and Ian. :wave2:
Austin catches up with Julie on the street and tells her that he has to leave town for a while. This catches Julie by surprise as he goes on to tell her that he is grateful that she was willing to give him a second chance. They end up kissing goodbyes.

Back at the poker game Ian seems to be holding his own. When one of the guys congratulates Ian on the engagement, Mike then starts grilling Ian about the whole spontanity and then went on about the hospital having his belongings and the ring Mike never remembered he had, etc etc. Mike wanted to know if Ian's proposal was planned and why Susan's ring was too big?
Tom wants to focus on the game, but Mike wants answers to his questions and also wonders what Susan would have to say if she knew just how "spontaneous" the whole thing was.

Just then the Pizzeria's phone rings. It's Lamar the Limo driver calling Tom to apologize and that he got a flat tire. He goes on to inform Tom not to worry though as he has dropped Tom's wife off at the place he asked. "WHAT"???
Tom yells into the phone! He goes on to tell Lamar that he had cancelled the Limo ride and had left the driver a message. Lamar tells Tom that he never received said message. Tom then hears that the driver left Lynette out of the limo 2 hours ago. We then see Lynette sitting on a dark bench in the windy night! Tommy Boy is a dead man!!! :happytv:

The three leftover poker playing friends are now alone in the pizzeria and the stakes are getting higher in the poker game between Ian and Mike. When Mike tells Ian that he can't match what he has put down on the table, Ian says "Tell you what, you win, you keep the money and you tell Susan whatever you want, I win and you keep your mouth shut about the ring and you leave me and Susan alone."
Mike then looks down at his hand which is a full house, 2 queens,3 kings and says "deal".

We next see Susan opening up the door to Ian standing on the porch. Susan asks Ian, "How was the game"? to which Ian announces, "I won".

Lynette is now walking in the dark in a nice dress and carrying flowers when Tom pulls up in his car apologizing profusely.:flower3: :flower3: :flower3:
She throws the flowers at him and storms into tha car. Next we see them in a diner ordering coffee. When Tom tells Lynette that he won't try to surprise her anymore, she tells him that she was wrong, and that he can go on to surprise her and that they need to keep the romance going, no matter what.

Rex the narrator comes on to tell us to take a drive down any street in America and you will see a bunch of guys wearing the same expression of my dreams are never gonna come true, that they will never have a life free from scandal,. We see Orson getting in a car with Danielle, Carlos pondering over not having a son, Austin missing Julie, and Mike looking across the street to see Susan and Ian through a window knowing he could never tell Susan how he feels. We see Tom and Lynette hugging and Tom smiling.

No new previews this week
 :sad1:

They showed Bree (not her face) in the very beg. of the show get in a Taxi. They said she was leaving for her honeymoon. Orson was going to meet her.

Bree was actually going to see her parents and then Orson would meet up with her for the honey moon.

Thanks so much for the re-cap! I missed last night's episode and I was pretty bummed. So is "Bree" taking a break from the show? I can't think of her real name.

Her name is Marcia Cross, she just had twins. I think when they were filming these episodes, she was on bed rest and couldn't film.

Hope this helps.

Christmas Elf, thanks for the recap. I missed the first 15 minutes because my DVR for some reason thought it was a repeat:sad1: I only found out it wasn't, when I came to read this thread and someone posted that it was new tonight.

Do you think Andrew told Austin to leave because he really cares about Julie or he was just trying to hurt his feelings for kicks?

They didn't show any previews for the next episode. Does anyone know when it will air? It seems like there is a rerun every other week now.

okay...so, it's a rerun....i'm okay with that.....but, it reminds me.....

what happened to Kayla the brat?? (Tom's illegit kid) where'd she go?? :confused3 (i don't remember seeing her at the Pizzeria opening....)

Maybe she was home babysitting Penny the baby that we only see occasionally. :happytv:

"Mommy has to put you in the closet now honey, so she can go run a pizzeria" :confused3 ;)

It WAS a re-run tonight, right? Otherwise I'll be really mad at myself :rotfl:

Little witch, I mean, Kayla was probably with her mother's relatives. ;)

My tivo says that tonight is a new episode recapping their favorite moments :sad2:
