I believe it is Gabby's and Carlos baby. How ever I still don't buy the whole "Gabby can't get pregnant again over one fall down the stairs." Why did they have to implant Charmaine instead of gabby? Also they didn't try for very long. I just don't buy it. I think they (the writer's) just thought it would make for a better plot line. How ever it makes the plot a little weak if you ask me. Like they don't plan ahead at all and just kind of go from one week to the next with what ever fits their fancy (like a day soap.)

Apparently Marcia Cross said they weren't writing her RL pregnancy into the show because someone else is going to be pregnant. I wonder if Gabby will find herself pregnant afterall. Honestly, Gabby was just warming to the idea of being pregnant when she lost the baby. It's not like it was something she planned or hoped for. It's possible she just doesn't want to go through pregnancy/childbirth but still wants to be a mother. She wouldn't be the 1st woman to feel this way.

I won't go away. I also did post about Marcia Cross on Conan.. guess that whole topic of the other female becoming pregnant was not discussed.

They won't write in her pregnancy, but will "cover it up" with boxes, plants, seating arrangements, lighting, etc.

Who will be the pregnant one? Since its not Bree, I would either think Lynnette (which would be hideously boring plotline), or even Susan with her little quicky with Carl.

la la la la la la la....

isn't it "K"arl?

and FWIW, we won't be going anywhere either!!

Chow Mein....

That is a childish response. I responded with an on topic discussion and was ridiculed....

Actually I just rewatched the episode on Tivo. When Gaby makes the Mu Shu comment she doesn't indicate the dish that the woman is holding. It is more of a general comment so there isn't even a continuity error there. The writers probably just thought that Mu Shu Pork sounded funnier than any other dish and so they went with that.

Moo goo Gai pan would have been funny!

What about a Edie pregnancy? Or maybe Bree's daughter?

There was a spoiler during season 2 that Edie would have a son returning back to her. The son was supposed to be about 6 years old, and I think either autistic or a developmental delay.

Of course the Edie son never materialized, so that could be a problem. I saw a script page about it, but it just could have been a dummy script. (it was scanned in)

Man! I've been away from this thread the whole time and it looks like I missed all the 'fun!' ;)

Anyway, for those of you who still have the last episode of last season on Tivo couldn't you look back to see if the woman in the psych hospital was his wife because we saw what she looked like in this first episode. Is it the same person, or not?

I've read that Edie's nephew will be joining the cast and causing trouble, naturally.

I had started out assuming that the womans body in the dirt was Orson's wife... but it could very well be Laurie Metcalf!!!!

And, I too agree that this thread has gotten completely childish...

I can handle some mis-spellings, but we are talking about two completely DIFFERENT names here. Names are important. Even if you can't spell it, at least TRY to get it right.

To continue the error and to harass CindyB is just ridiculous.
Even if she has been overly picky.
She has contributed a lot to this thread as well.

If she wants to point out these things like an English teacher, that is still no excuse for everyone acting like insolent students.

If everyone here is professing to be such a DH fan, then, can't we at least agree to to the web-site, or use closed caption, so that we are getting it right!!! :confused3

Possible spolier highlite if ya want to....I hear she is supposed to have a nephew(18y/o bad boy type) come to stay with her....and that it may possibly be a Julie romance.

Thanks for backing me up! And yes, I hate to say it but I am in a preservice teacher training for a Writing/Language Arts major.

Hooray, Desperate is back on!

If anyone cares, I type a lot faster than 75wpm. And accurately too, you know, when it matters. Just in case you were wondering.

It's nice to see you all again, comment on the episodes and predict the plots! Although hopefully not as easily this season

I am watching the premiere tonight with DH, although I'm pretty sure I gathered some of the details because I was trying not to fall behind too quickly on this thread... man, you all were cruising! Thanks again to Christmas Elf for typing out the recap. I totally peeked... I'm a sucker for anything like a spoiler!

I love Fall. My DVR is actually taping things again that are worthwhile! :goodvibes

Well, we were getting back on topic....

I agree that it getting completely childish, I only disagree on who started this whole stupid thing.

For the love of DH, can we get back on topic and let this go already.

Ok, so who do you think is the hottest guy on the show? Mike is definitely way out in first place for me; followed by Carlo, Susan's Ex and finally Tom.

Mike and then new guy in Susan's life.

I don't really like anyone else. Oh, Gabby's young boy toy was good eye candy but too young for me. ;)

However, if she is going to play English teacher, I would expect her to set the example and use proper English herself. Any student of grammar knows the difference between the possesive its and the contraction it's. I believe that is what irritated so many of us. Something about people and glass houses.

Contributions are appreciated as long as they are on the topic. Since this is a topic about Desperate Housewives and not the rules of grammar, her comments were out of line.

I'm what I refer to as a dyslexic typist. If I had to worry about someone jumping on me because I mistyped a name or any word, I wouldn't stay around for long.

Sort of on topic, we have a radio station in Cincinnati that gets frequent calls from James Denton (Mike), because he has a really good relationship with one of the morning show hosts. Jenn (the host) bought a pair of his pants on ebay (that he had taken off during an episode of Ellen(?)) and they started a "Tour De Pants" to raise money for the Autism Society of Cincinnati. Pretty goofy, but they are still going strong! This morning they announced that Nick Lachey's pants have been added to the options for booking. :rotfl:

I was more concerned on spelling the name correctly. As more posters have pointed out Charmaine/Charmay is totally different than any Chinese spelling.

The "who cares" atitude bothered me that there was an error, I and others brought it up, and can't be bothered to do things correctly. The Chinese spelling is all over the internet, websites and even the closed caption on the TV.

It's and its... has nothing to do with the Charmaine/Charmay episode. To bring that up deflects from the real issue of the character name! I pointed out an error that I saw, and addressed it. To ignore it, once it has been confirmed, becomes a lack of accuracy.
