OK can we let this go? Seriously, everyone. Can we just discuss the show and not worry about grammar, spelling and names? I'm willing to drop it. Anyone else? :cheer2:

I agree beth,

GOOD GRIEF!!!!!!

I thought we could finally bring this to an end!!!

If this is going to boil down to spelling (and not respect for a name), then I am going to start to agree with everyone else!!!!

It is NOT appropriate to badger people about spelling on an chatboard.

CAN WE END THIS NOW?

If CindyB agrees to lay off, will everyone else agree to at least use correct names, and let this thread continue with what we are all interested in.. Desperate Housewifes!!! :Pinkbounc

Okay, back on topic.... HOT guys!!!

There are a lot of them on the show.

Mike comes to mind first!!!

I have to say that Bree's men have not done a lot for me.

When others agree to spell it (or at least make a concerned effort) to spell it correctly, I will stop correcting.

Until then, it will still be wrong. Others have pointed it out as well. The chow mein comments were just downright childish. The continuation of misspellings after it has been brought up is just passive agressive in nature.

Just popping in for a quick question...

Any word on this new "love child" of Lynette's hubby? I really don't like that part of the show and I am hoping it will be found to be a mistake or something...or at least the mom takes a hike. I finally watched Sunday's episode last night and was really turned off by all the scenes with Lynette, her hubby, his "new" daughter and the daughter's mom (sorry - not good with names!).

Thanks - I've been slowly reading through the thread...I may have to stay awhile. I've been a DH fan since it started. Loved the episode when Gabby was mowing the lawn in her cocktail dress because her "lawn boy" was too "busy" to do it... :lmao:

I agree 100%. Is it Orsen she is dating now? Ugh! Didn't like him when he was Charlotte's hubby on SATC!

Susan gets some pretty nice looking guys...the doc she dated for awhile was a cutie patootie too!

I like Tom. He seems so down to earth and has that "boy next door" quality I like. Mike is hot too though. I also thought the Applewhites's boy (not the one locked in the basement, the other one) was pretty nice to look at but to young for me!

A DNA test was done so I don't think it's a mistake. Of course labs have been wrong so you never know. I think Lynette and Psycho mom (that's how she acts IMO) will end up coming to heads over the mom's invasion into the family. I don't have a problem with the daughter (I think her name is Carly) but the mom has got to go. Her character is been done to death on other shows and is really old.

I think Tom is attractive but wimpy so that's a real turnoff for me. He needs to grow a bigger backbone.

True, but I do like the way he seems to go to bat for Lynette at times. It was a bummer to learn he was hiding a kid from her though...hmm, maybe he is now off my list... :scratchin

Mu shu pork is not gourmet. If that is gourmet to you, you need to get out more.
Depends on the restaurant you're eating it at, honey. If you're eating it at Mr. Chow's, then it's gourmet.

I think YOU need to get out more b/c there are upscale Asian restaurants ... not just the dumps you visit.

If others are allowed for mistakes in the actual post is fine, but the blantant use of Charmay is not.

You used it continously in your prior post. I just cringed at the blantant mistake. I'm sure you did it to be passive agressive of course.

I checked on different sources and most were cited with Carl, not Karl. One cited it as Karl, but I went with the majority rule.... ;)
Does anyone else wish they had the time to check multiple sources for accuracy and check everyone's grammar and spelling like Cindy does?! Dang ... I'm trying to do major multitasking while I'm doing this.

That is a childish response. I responded with an on topic discussion and was ridiculed....

it may be, but childish is "ridiculing" someone over and over again for misspelling - couldn't you simply have pm'd them and let them know your thoughts?
CE takes a lot of time typing those up and posting and I for one would definitly rather see those posts than all the ones you have made to try and correct everyone.

And, I too agree that this thread has gotten completely childish...

I can handle some mis-spellings, but we are talking about two completely DIFFERENT names here. Names are important. Even if you can't spell it, at least TRY to get it right.

To continue the error and to harass CindyB is just ridiculous.Even if she has been overly picky.
She has contributed a lot to this thread as well.

If she wants to point out these things like an English teacher, that is still no excuse for everyone acting like insolent students.

If everyone here is professing to be such a DH fan, then, can't we at least agree to to the web-site, or use closed caption, so that we are getting it right!!!

I have to disagree here....whether it is Chow Mein, Charmay, Charmaine, Xiou Mein or whatever I can bet that most everyone on this thread knew EXACTLY who was being spoken about.

And CindyB has REPEATEDLY said (typed) that she will continue to "correct" any and everyone, so I think if she would lay off that ~ then everything else would stop and we can continue to discuss DH ---------- including any typos!

Question ....

Is Orson living w/Bree? Or is he just at her house all the time? I ask b/c he was doing the dishes and I wondered if he was living w/her or not!?

Someone came up w/the theory that the lady in the mud at the golf course might be Orson's nosey neighbor. Do you think that Orson would've had enough time to go out, kill her, bury the body, etc.? And, if he were living w/Bree, wouldn't he have a lot of explaining to do about his whereabouts after the engagement party?

Orson's def. up to something ... just don't know what quite yet.

I have to add that last season, I thought it was Orson's wife in the mental institute b/c of the way he hesitated and said he was visiting a "friend". I took his hesitated to mean he wanted to hook up w/Bree and didn't want Bree to know that the woman he was with was his wife. KWIM!?

so Orson would have killed the nosey neighbor after the engagement party? Where was the construction anyone remember?

Well, that's one theory.

The construction was at the Country Club where Bree announced her engagement to Susan, Lynette and Gabby. Bree said that the construction was ordered by Orson, but I can't recall why?! Maybe to expand the pro-shop or something?! Does anyone else know!?

ETA -- don't you think that it'd be so obvious if it were the neighbor in the mud? I mean, there'd be only one conclusion for Bree to come to if it's the neighbor. I'll bet that the person that they find will prob. be so "decomposed" in the facial area that they won't be able to easily determine who it is and we will all wonder (for another week or 5) if it's Orson's wife.

However, maybe we're all coming to the wrong conclusion that Orson killed his wife. We're basing it on something a bird said and the fact that Orson was wearing an apron and mopping. Does that really mean he killed her? Maybe ... or maybe that's what the producers want us to conclude!!!!

Ok, my reactions and a few questions :)

How awkward was every scene with Tom's baby mama? I am also hoping she isn't around much, but I doubt it -- the story was too big in the premiere, IMO.

I thought the episode was pretty good. It was very funny in parts! I about cried laughing when Bree was in the doctor's office! :rotfl:

My DVR cut off at exactly 1:00.... were there previews for next week?

I about cried laughing when Susan dumped the strawberry smoothie on that guy's comatose wife!!!!! Then, proceeded to cover her w/a blanket to hide it and told the husband that "She looks cold".

There were previews ... the only things I can remember are that Bree is about to marry Orson and someone (one of the girls I think) says something like "Before you do this, there's something you need to know (hear?)." And, it appears that Charmay goes into labor.

Unfortunately, DH was deleted from TIVO by my DH, so I can't check to be 100% accurate. Maybe someone has more insight?!

Who is the actress who plays the mother of Tom's love child? She's so familiar but I can't place her.
