i agree and AGAIN point out: when she tried to get Tom out of his job (because he was working with his ex) and she was talking to HER old boss (at a restaurant over lunch), didn't her boss get excited because she thought Lynette was looking for a job?? does anyone remember this scene?? she said her door was always open if Lynette wanted to go back to work.... why doesn't she work for her?? ...guess it won't fit the storyline.....

I thought Tom quit his job because he was overlooked for a promotion & the collegue he had a thing with got the promotion instead.

I'm sure Lynette would NOT want to be working as her subordinate.

Lynette kept Tom from getting the promotion because she didn't want him to travel and be away from the family more than he already was. Working for the ex-girlfriend came after the promotion he was up for was given to someone else (the ex?).

I thought I heard/read that Joely Fisher, Lynette's boss, was only to be in a few episodes.

I hope no one considers this a spoiler, but with the whole Gabby pregnancy thing, I was reading somewhere (maybe People?) that Gabby will actually have the baby. I guess in one of the upcoming episodes she get upset because she no longer can fit into a size 00 and throws a fit in the store. I never knew there was such a size!! And I guess Marc Cherry made some comment about her being in a "fat suit" for most of the season.

Eva Longoria did some improv comdedy somewhere. I think it was in Chicago, and I saw some snippets of her stuff on a TV special. She played a gangster boy in one shot, and a "heavier" lady in another. She could pull it off.

The other guy (who went out w/ heart trouble) got his promotion...Tom stuck it out. Then he found out Lynette sabatoged that promotion AND Lynette was constantly at work "bothering" Tom cuz he was working w/ his ex. So, when he found out his wife "influenced" the boss' decision making his choice for the promotion, he quit (after "having it out" with his boss).

I was always really small when I was growing up (like DD's are now.) I remember being excited when I grew out of size 6X (I was in like 4th grade.)

So when I was in HS I was a size 00, but no one made them. I was happy when there was small size stores and I could get size 2.

THOSE DAYS ARE OVER. I did a dance the other day because I went down to size 8. So happy no longer in double digits!!!!!!

Yes, I can see how when your body is your whole self esteem, gaining weight (even for a good cause,) would be very difficult. Heck gaining weight is hard for anyone, but even more when everything you feel good about yourself is wrapped up in it. Should be interesting. Maybe they will expolore gabby finding value in herself in other ways.
