*~~Official December 2016 Thread~~*

That's wonderful! Nothing special for us. We will be there to enjoy the holiday season. This will be our 4th trip during this time. We have been twice for Thanksgiving and this will be our second in early Dec. We don't have kids so can travel when we like and try to go every few years. Next time we might switch things up a little and go either in the spring for the flower and garden festival or fall for Halloween.
That sounds great. We would like to try Halloween time, but we need the cooler weather. Are you or have you done MVMCP?

Hello everyone!!
What started as a quick 2 day ending to my Cruise in December has now turned into a 5 night stay with 4 day park tickets. LoL!!

Now staying from Dec. 23 to Dec. 28th at All Star Sports. I thought I had my ADRs pretty much set..but I only have the must-do's sone so far. Just not sure as to what I really want in terms of food. Here is what I have so far..

Dec. 23rd- just ordering pizza and dining in. Will need to wash clothes and relax after driving from Port Canveral that day and visiting family. Stopping for lunch in Orlando at Wahlburgers (huge fan)

Dec. 24th- Epcot Day
Breakfast- Cape May. (This may change to just getting something at the resort.)
Lunch- probably a snack-but if change breakfast will do Yorkshire Fish
Dinner- Chefs de France CP package.

Dec. 25th- MK day- yes crazy but I only plan to stay there until around noon then do some resort hopping.
Breakfast- resort
Lunch- Afternoon tea at GF at 225.
Dinner-BOG is booked but not sure if I will keep it. I may find something else (suggestions welcome)

Dec. 26th AK Day
Breakfast- resort
Lunch- have no idea
Dinner- have Rainforest Cafe but looking at maybe doing somethink at AKL.

Dec. 27th- up in the air day. LoL.
Breakfast- 1900 Park Fare (finally got the time I wanted yesterday)
Lunch- no idea
Dinner- no idea

Dec. 28th- travel home. :-(

I do not have park hoppers but I am thinking of adding them. I am going to be by myself so I have a littlr more flexibilty than past trips.

I am so looking forward to this trip. I have always wanted to visit Disney at Christmas and hopefully this will actually happen this year.

Happy 4th, Friends!!

Enjoy if you're celebrating today...have fun and be safe! Everyone needs all their fingers and body parts for Disney, so no matter what your drink is telling you, use caution with those fireworks, LOL!!

I'll come update our front page tomorrow!!

We are first timers (as parents) and arriving late 12.16 and leaving late 12.22. Will have our son who turns 5 just before we leave and 2 yr old daughter. This trip will mostly be about the 5 yr old. Need opinions on first 2 park days (17th & 18th). We want to do Festival of Fantasy parade, electrical lights parade and wishes on the 17th...but I know that it will be a busy day at MK. Also doing VMCP on the 18th (these are the only days these are scheduled during our trip). One of these days we will spend all day at MK, the other I plan to spend the morning/early afternoon in Epcot. Which morning would be a better Epcot day? Also, during our trip we have 1 day planned in HS and 1 in AK...is that enough time in those parks? We have 5.5 days for parks.

And I should add, new to the forums. Glad to have found this awesome group! Can't wait to get to know you all!

We have been to it twice and are doing it again this trip on 12/8. What about you?
We have never done the party, I want to really bad this year on my Birthday. We are trying to decide if we should spend that much money when our youngest daughter doesn't stay up past 9:30. She is special needs and only at bed time very stuck in her routine. She is the reason we are taking a longer vacation (long for us at least), because we know we can not do late park nights. I hope you enjoy it!!!!

I haven't been reading the rest of the forum that much, so maybe this has been discussed in detail elsewhere, but the fact that nighttime hours for AK aren't released yet is really troubling, and apparently may reflect some really big problems Disney is having with the mechanics of what they were planning to offer at night. We're especially concerned since the holiday decorations and the evening activities at AK are the only reasons we're going, since we have just spent a week at WDW this past April.

Are you going to do the Candlelight Processional at Epcot?

First page updated...guys, our list has grown so much!!

Watched Venus Williams roll into the semis at Wimbledon, and hoping my lawn guys come today so I can go get some plants in the ground (it's been stormy and gross here for a week, my backyard looks like a nightmare, and I'm ready to see the sun!)

Not a lot going on on the trip planning front except obsessive checking for the Star Wars dessert party.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

I haven't given the AK hours much thought because I didn't think HS hours were extended yet either. You might want to join this thread, I'm following along. http://disboards.com/threads/jungle...s-after-sept-5th.3513976/page-6#post-56047281

best thing to do is check some of the crowd calendars to use as a guide for your trip.

No, but we have done it before. I loved it, my family not so much. I did book it as a date night for my mom and dad. Are you?

Yes. We have been 3 times and had a different narrator each time and it will be someone new this year as well.

We are changing our reservations - we switched from Pop to Saratoga Springs. Same dates, though! :yay::mickeybar Hope everyone had a great 4th of July in the states!
