****Official December 2011 Thread****

Goin' solo Dec 8th-11th. I'll probably end up at SSR unless one of my wait lists come through.

I am already going in early October and normally wouldn't have planned a return trip so soon, but allearsnet is hosting an event with Jim Korkis about the Carousel of Progress in Dec, and I couldn't miss it! CoP is my favorite attraction. :cloud9:

This will be our first trip to Disney for all of us.
We will be there Dec 4-10 at POFQ

We are going to be doing MVMCP the 4th (day we arrive yeah!!), then planning on a full day at MK on Monday (with dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table), Hollywood Studios on Tuesday, Epcot on Wednesday, and Animal Kingdom on Thursday (Hoop-Dee-Doo that night).

Friday will be some shopping in Downtown Disney in the morning, followed by a late lunch and Fantasmic! that evening.

Saturday will be resting up and getting ready to fly back.

Now if December would just get here quicker!

We're planning our very first trip December 11-19th for Pop Century and couldn't be more excited about it. I hope everyone else enjoys theirs! :cloud9:

I tried twice this morning to call for CP but it was busy. After the gym I was able to get in with no problem. I now have all my reservations now I just have to pay it all off.

Noelle

We decided to skip the CP. After watching videos of it on youtube it didn't seem like something my kid would enjoy. Besides I have already packed enough activities in our week there. We will have to check it out the next trip.

my birthday was just on this past tuesday and I got the best bday present from one of my dearest friends and my daughter...a trip to wdw from Nov. 30- Dec. 13...it will be my first one ever and Im so excited...my friend has already booked all the adr's...gonna start on my pre trip report now lol:goodvibes

Is there a list anywhere of pre-trip reports that people are writing for December (I guess no trip reports yet ;)). My guilty pleasure read!

We will be there from the 3-10 and doing the party on the 4th. We are flying out of Austin on the 3rd and home on the 10th. We will go to DTD on Fri. too!

We are going to be there for almost the exact same dates!:thumbsup2

I would LOVE to read some December PTRs:goodvibes

We went to the CP in 2004. It was nothing that I would rush back to. It was overcrowded so we didn't really do any rides. The best part was the parade but I don't think it's worth it to go to just for the parade.

Im going to be at SSR for those dates! What is on your wait list? We were hoping for BLT but it was all booked by May:sad2: We were going to try Beachclub but then decided to just go with SSR.

Hi! If you want to, follow mine (link in signature) and you will find my dis-friends have December PTR's, too! Theirs are by far waaaay better and more entertaining than mine! But we are all having a good time passing our days talking about upcoming trips!! :goodvibes

This only affects the end of August into September right. This doesn't involve us December travelers.

Noelle

It will affect some of us. I am arriving on the 17th and that is the last day to arrive to get it. You can book it starting on Aug 3. There is announcement on it on the boards here :) I think the code is FCY. HTH's.

December 3-11! All-star Music family suite. I am so excited. We won't tell the kids until the day before we leave. They go to year-round school, so they won't miss any school. They LOVE Disney and talk about our last trip all the time. We will celebrate my daughter's 9th birthday while we are there too.

I'm officially joining y'all!!! Today I booked Coronado Springs for December 10th-16th! We have a one night room only and the rest on a FD package! I've been waiting all year for them to release FD for me to book. :dance3: This is my first trip in 18 years and my DD's first trip and we will be celebrating her 5th birthday! Just a little excited! :cheer2:

Like a jaguar stalking his prey we have been trawling the DISboards and other information sources waiting, waiting, waiting for the announcement of free dining. Yesterday our patience paid off. Disney released free dining for the week wanted to go 12/11 to 12/16! Woohoo, we are booked for six days and five nights at the Pop with park hopper and quick service plan for 1485.97, saved us just over 500.00 dollars. We were going to go anyway, but it is nice to have the savings. This will be our first trip at Christmas. We saw some of the decorations in 08 during our Thanksgiving trip, but this will be full on Disney Christmas. Too bad I could not talk my wife into upgrading the dining plan. We like to eat at the nice restaurants, but hate that it kills a couple hours of the day. Besides, in this economy may as well save money where you can. And let’s face it, eating burgers, pizza, and hot dogs at Disney beats the heck out of eating steak and lobster at home.

Discovered we are going to be there during Pop Warner so missing out on free dining :( Also worried about my hotel choice. Hoping POFQ doesn't get bothered by them too much.

It shouldn't be too bad. Most of them will be staying at the value's, but POFQ is one of the overflow hotels. They normally try to keep them all in the same area at the hotel, so you may want to ask when you checkin if you can be put on the otherside of the grounds from the Pop Warner and Cheerleader guy's and gal's.

Howdy! We just booked our trip for December 10-17th!! So excited!
Although I've been numerous times to Disney, this is only my 3rd trip with my son! So exciting to see it all through his eyes. :)

Wow! That's quite a present. :)

Beach Club is my home resort. :cloud9:

I actually was able to get the AKL. I am not a huge fan of SSR so I called like every other day in addition to my waitlists. The waitlists are so specific when it comes to certain resorts so I figured I'd harass them till something opened up! :rotfl:

I think I am fine with the AKL but I will still probably add a waitlist for a resort I like better. BWV perhaps. I am not even going to bother trying for BLT or BCV!
