Hi there! We will be there December 16-22, staying at Pop Century. Currently recruiting majority of family. Never been there @ holiday time, or stayed in a park or had the meal plan. We are so excited!

We're having a family reunion at WDW during Christmas week. It will be fun to experience the magic of Christmas at WDW with my whole family! We will be there from Dec. 25 to Dec. 31.

One DSis and our families are staying in a 2 bdrm at SSR. We were hoping for OKW, but it was booked. My other DSis and her family is staying OS at her timeshare.

My family hasn't been to WDW in 6 years, so we are very excited!

This will be our 9th Christmas at Disney World. We went in August last year and we are counting the days. Check in at Ft Widerness at 1:00PM on 15 Dec and Check out 27 Dec. 12 nights and 13 days with the dinning plan.

I'm late to this but here at least for now.

Planning a mega trip for June 2012. I'm really excited, but was thinking back to our first trip and started to get a little sad that I wouldn't see those beautiful Christmas decorations again. The appearance of a major discount opportunity got me thinking of a short trip for December starting the day dd gets out of school.

December 16-21 at WL, which I'm told is breathtaking during the holidays. Found a 5:20pm flight so I can pick dd up from school and go straight to the airport, but we'll still get there in time to use ME complete with luggage service. I'll just pack pjs in the carry-on so I can get the kids down once we get there.

Still not 100% sure we'll do it so I'm keeping it a surrpise. My daughter already knows about the trip in June. I'll know for sure soon. Also hoping to take my kids' sitter. She's been wanting to go but she is off to college next year so she won't be able to go with us next June. It would be a nice present for her I think. She's been great with the children. Hoping it works out so all I need her parents to get is her plane ticket.

Got 3 ADR's one for dd (Akershus breakfast), one for ds (HollyWood and Vine) and one for my sitter (Crystal Palace). She absolutely loves Winnie the Pooh.

I like doing shirts, so I put in my request on the design board and they were completed pretty much immediately and I've gotten my list together for jiffyshirts.com. Going to do 2 t-shirts and a sweat shirt for each traveler once I get things nailed down.

I did not buy party tickets. I want to wait on that a couple more years so ds can be bigger. Plus, I read they start showing that parade on the 20th and if that turns out to be the case we'll see it then.

So far the plan is

16th - arrival, check-in, bed
17th - Crystal Palace, MK
18th - Akershus, Epcot
19th - Hollywood and Vine, DHS
20th - open but MK afternoon parade
21st - back home

Hey!! We are going to be in Disney november 29th to December 9th. We are getting married there on the 2nd!!!! I would really like to attend the taping of the Christmas parade, does anyone know how this works and who is performing?

Well I just made a reservation for 12/5-12/9. Unfortunately we didn't get our VWL and are headed to Saratoga Springs. Not my favorite but it is what it is since i just made the reservation today.

December 2-3: My family and I (group of 6) are planning a very quick weekend trip to go to the Christmas Party on the 2nd and Magic Kingdom on the 3rd

We're getting closer people! I have a quick question though, our flight is supposed to land at MCO a little before 2pm (1:40pm) and we have an ADR at DHS at 6:20pm, do you think we'll be okay making it in time or should I find something later? I know a lot depends on how long Magical Express takes but I would think 4-4.5 hours to get from MCO to Caribbean Beach, get checked in and then taking the bus to DHS would be enough time right? I know I'm probably being a little paranoid but we usually get earlier flights but we couldn't pass up the good flight prices.

Personally I think that's a little tight. If you were renting a car it would be a no brainer. While I always use ME they are very unreliable for timing. Also, can you go right from your resort and head to DHS? If so it maybe OK. If you need to get into your room and receive your luggage you are SOL (Simply out of luck) IMHO. I would go for something later if for no reason then to take pressure off of you. I hate to be late so that would make me crazy lol. Long story short.... you are counting on your flight to be on time, ME to be there waiting for you. Lastly the bus to DHS to be waiting to take you. That's a lot of if's for me. While I am usually an optimist this situation wouldn't be for me. Good luck!

They tape the performances the first Friday and the parade the first Saturday of December. The don't usually reveal ahead of time who it's going to be though.

I personally think you will be fine. I say it takes 1-1 1/2 for ME to get you to your resort. Our experience with check in was very quick and the the bus to DHS is another 1-1 1/2. Thanks for the responses. We won't wait for our luggage to arrive, we'd go straight from checking in to the park. But I agree that I am relying on everything being on time which is why I am second guessing our ADR time. I think I'll search and see what's available for a later time just to be safe. Thanks!

Well, I've made my final decision and I'm cancelling our December trip in favor of an October trip to Sea World for my daughter's fall break. She really really wants to go there and I'd planned to take a day for it during our trip to WDW next June. I knew that it would mean not having the afternoon break though that I'd planned for every other day during that trip.

After further research, and a recent trip to the zoo here where we practically opened and closed the place and barely got to see it all (my crew goes nowhere fast), I've decided that rather than squeeze in a day for it during our trip to WDW next June, I'm going to do it in a separate trip in October of this year. Then gear everything towards our mega trip next June.

We're on board for December 17th-23rd at All Star Sports. After months and months of putting off planning, my parents and I have decided to take advantage of the military discount (30% off values) making it cheaper than SOG (a Favorited resort). Also my mom has been out of a job for a while, so that was another thing that put off planning for a while.We are contemplating doing CP, but the narrators listed don't really draw my attention. Oh if only they had Josh Groban.
