:sad1: I miss my ticker. DD is still out of town and she needs to make me a new one. (Please don't try to teach me - it would just take up important brain space reserved for all things Disney.) She'll be back just in time to help me celebrate 50 days!

Meanwhile I will count down with all of you!!!:woohoo:

Welcome EnchantedPlayroom and your beautiful daughter. Mommy/daughter trips are the best! Have a magical time.

Thanks, she was really special. She & my grandpa helped my mom with my sister & I after our parents divorced. It's almost funny though. She didn't really like WDW stuff, never understood my "need" to be there so much. But it was a sanctuary in a topsy-turvy childhood.

This will be my family's first WDW Christmas as well, Dec. 22-29 at CS. Although my dad takes care of the resort reservations, dining plan, and park hopper tickets I pretty much manage everything else. On top of this I'm also in my last semester of classes before student teaching in the spring. We have been to DW before in Jan. 2003 and then DL in Jan. 2006, but this trip is a little different and not just because it's during Christmas, but this time we also have to factor in golfing for my dad and brother and a half day to a day at Universal Studios for me (and dragging mom) to see HP World. As of now I have not made any TSR since my brother is very picky (even though he's 16!) and I want us all to enjoy what we eat, especially during the holidays. I realize the parks will probably be very busy, but I think it will help that me and my brother are older and none of us really has our hearts set on any specific rides, just getting to do any would make us happy. I'm hoping to be a little more brave this year and go on more roller coasters and also ToT. I still remember the first (and so far only) time I went on Space Mountain with my dad and there were two little girls in front of us who were saying "oh it's so fun" and I thought ok if these two little girls like it then I am going to love it...wrong! I had my eyes shut the whole time! but like I said I hope to be a little more brave this time around.

:love2: DD(45) & DM(45) :wave2: Me (21...will be 22 when we go)
:cool2: DB (16)

Ok, so I didn't want to have to do this, but because Kouzzina is closing while I'm in Disney, I had to rearrange my ADRs. The changes are as follows:

Dec 12 Cancel Kouzzina, replace with 9:00 pm Yachtsman SH

Dec 13 Cancel Artist Point, replace with 7:15 Maya Grill

Dec 16 Cancel LTT, replace with 9:30 am WCC

Thanks so much!

Can anyone give me some info on the sleigh ride?

Here is a link to an old Disney parks Blog about it...

Also, you may want to look at this page from HappDog's TR from last Xmas. Her family went on the sleigh ride and she has pics. Scroll down to after the HDD pics....

(Can you tell I'm into this??) :rotfl:

Is anyone else starting to get antsy about wanting to buy Christmas decorations for your resort room?? I am scouring stores and online waiting for all the good stuff to start coming out. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year, and the wait is KILLING me!!!

I was looking on Touring Plans today (it has our first 3 days up now) and there are two crowd levels 3 and one 2. Our last trip I subscribed and didn't find it all that helpful because it was an overall slow period then, too (late August). I'm wondering if anyone else here is skipping it?

I subscribed....but I'm pretty OCD about planning. I have found it somewhat helpful. TourGuideMike gives explanations for why he recommends each park on a particular day which I find more helpful in making my decisions.

Also....doing the "My Ticker Starts With A 1" Dance with all of you! :dance3:

Poppygirl, it looks like we're arriving on the same day! It has been hard lately to keep it from DS(6). This is going to be a Chanukah present for him, so we are keeping it a secret until then. But stuff here has been hard lately, so DH & I are really looking forward to this vacation more than ever!

I couldn't keep it secret any longer. If you check out my PTR I put in the story about the "big reveal". But I have lots of little surprises along the way that they dont' know about yet. bwahahahaha (maniacal laughter).

What a fun moment it will be when you finally tell him!!!!!!!!!!! How are you planning to let him know????

Traditionally, he gets one book each night of Chanukah as well as some other presents the night we have our Chanukah party with our family. This year, we are going to give him a Mickey Mouse book the first night and write in the front cover "I can't wait to see you next week! Love, Mickey!" then we plan to tell him. He's been periodically asking to go to WDW and talking about our last visit. He just asked if we could go for his birthday (in April) as a present. He's going to be so excited.

I really need to get on the ball with reading everyone's PTRs!!! I've been skimming through and few and they're great! I'm checking out Poppy's now :)

My ticker starts with a 1 MONTH!!!!!

Time to dance...

:jumping1:party::dancer:party::jumping1:

Mine too... It was an awesome treat when I got to work and that was staring me in the face. Now the anticipation can really begin (along with the 2nd guessing of myself for my ADR's) :santa:

I have 6 day hopper passes. I should use all 6 days before I upgrade to a AP at Guest Relations. Is this correct??

Sorry for the delay in responding. You can upgrade after using it once, or after all six. Last time I did it, I entered the park and upgraded immediately so I could buy the Tables in Wonderland card for that evening's dinner. I intend to do the same this time! I didn't want to miss any AP discounts! :rotfl:And since the AP would be back-dated to the first day you use the hoppers anyway, there's no real benefit in waiting.
