I feel silly asking but I'm not sure, we got the free dinning and are staying at a deluxe does that mean we get the ddp?

Unless you pay for the upgrade, you'll get the basic dining plan - 1 snack, 1 counter service meal w/dessert and drink, and 1 table service meal w/dessert and drink PER person PER night. :thumbsup2

We will be there 12/10 - 12/13. This trip is becoming an annual thing and it is without the kids (Don't worry they get there at least 3 times a year).

We are currently staying at AKV Kidani. However, we are on the WL for VWL. I am not too optimistic for that to come through, but you never know. We check periodically to see if even a single day is available.

Last year during this weekend there was a TSM event party and a D23 magic and merriment event that took place. Anyone hear any info on potential repeats for these events?

Tomorrow is the CP package release date, right? Who's hoping for what? Who's getting up early to call? We are hoping for LeCellier for lunch. :goodvibes

I am going back and forth about doing it. When I decided that we should it was mainly to get a Le Cellier lunch. Well, I got lucky and got both a lunch and dinner. Now I don't know what to do! We are on the dining plan, but we already have an extra TS we will be paying for OOP. If we add this we will have to pay for 2 TS meals because we really want to eat at all the places I've got booked. :confused3 I just can't decide...

Yes, Magic and Merriment is scheduled again for December 11th-12th. Last year, I believe the itinerary and information was released in October, so it may be some time before we hear additional details. But here is the article that announced it: http://d23.disney.go.com/articles/011410_NF_FEAT_Latest2010D23Events.html.

Ughh, we are on the fence about it now. I was sooo looking forward to seeing Steven Curtis Chapman, possibly for a lunch at Biergarten. However, SCC is performing a concert at our church (complete with his wife and sons!), so we couldn't pass that up. Since we've already paid for those tickets, we are unsure if we will also do the CP. We don't know if we should spend the extra money or use TS credits, of which, we don't have many.

I am HOPING the OOP cost has not increased and/or that they allow certain times and/or restaurant locations to only use 1 credit (like the Fantasmic packages). So, until we see the final narrator list and how much everything will cost, we're still debating!

I am getting up early! We plan to eat nine Dragons, hopefully the latest we can to see the last CP of the evening! :)

We have decided if we want to see it the night we are there, we will just stand in the back and not have to deal with the package thing. I don't want to change ADR's and don't want to pay oop.

YAY! Double Digit Dance :) :rotfl:
I am BEYOND excited - but I think my Grandma is more excited to go than I am!
Can't wait to see all the Christmas Decorations....

That's what I thought thank you

Okay so, I'm confused....how many days of Dining are we entitled to if we Check into our Resort on December 2, Check out on the morning of December 13 and purchase a 10 day Park Pass???? 10 days or 11 days of dining???

You would have 11. The day you check in starts the credits but you dont get any for the day you check out. But if you have any extra credits at the end you can use them until 12am on the 13th :)

It's however many nights you're staying at the resort (how many days of tickets you have is irrelevant). It looks like you're booked for 11 nights, so you will have 11 TS meals, 11 CS meals and 11 snacks per person, good until midnight of the 13th.

just the BASIC dining plan.

there are many levels of dining packages and you get this many credits PER night of your stay. BUT you can use them however you want- you can use 10 meals in one day and none the next. It will keep track of the 'bank' of meals you have left. if you are there 11 nights, on basic dining, you get 11 quick service meals, 11 table service and 11 snacks per adult.

  • quick service- 2 quick service meals, 2 snacks, one mug per night (those booked in value resorts qualify for this for FREE)
  • basic dining- 1 quick service, 1 table service, 1 snack (those booked in mods or deluxes qualify for this for FREE)
  • Deluxe dining (never offered as part of FREE dining)- 3 meals per day- can be sit down/table service or quick service, 2 snacks and mug
of course when i say for free, i mean during the free dining period offer and subject to availability! lol

yeah for kidless trips! :thumbsup2:rotfl:

The TSM event (sponsored by the DIS- unplugged) will not happen this year, because they are doing the annual DIS unplugged CRUISE from Dec 10-14th. That serves as the holiday event this year, they are not doing anything additional. I was at the TSM event last year- what a blast that was!! Rode it over and over with no lines and great food!

yep- tomorrow am- starting at 7am EST. I'll be on the phone hoping for LeCellier for the 8;15 show on 12/8! I have some backups, but that is my goal! We will see.

Not to give myself some added competition for these coveted spots, but why not try for a combo pkg? If you get 1, cancel 1 of your resrvations. If not, no harm is done.

So, I've been debating the last few days about whether to get tickets to the CP. Well, I finally decided not to because we aren't going to Epcot til after Christmas and it well just in my head didn't make sense to go to a Christmas event after the fact.

Soooooo, anyway I've been reading all this hype about Le Cellier Steakhouse on the board and figured "You know what we'll be at Epcot on the 27th of Dec let's see if they have a reservation just for giggles". Now mind you I honestly didn't expect for this to happen. So I plugged in a time that I thought would be reasonable (4pm) and BAM! A time for 4:45 popped up. I just reserved it and now I'm sitting here like "Wow, I can't believe that actually worked." :lmao:

 I can't. That was the only request from DH and DS11 - Le Cellier twice. :goodvibes

We are headed down for a surprise Christmas trip arriving on the 17th and leaving on the 23rd

dont tell anyone my family doesnt know

no idea how we will surprise them
