Official December 2010 Thread!!

Very very excited to be heading back Dec 9-20 :banana:

POFQ again! It's become like our second home.

Just trying to decide 100% if we want to do MVMCP .... can go on the 16th as we have adr at LTT at 5:45 ... does anyone think this will work out well?

i think we are going to skip it this time.....but we did love it. we just have so much going on already and it is just one more thing we would have to schedule and fit in. LOL But i do recommend it! :rotfl:

That should work out pretty well for MVMCP and your ADR.. it seems this year that the party officially starts at 7pm (previous years, MVMCP guests could enter the parks from 4pm), so if your meal takes around an hour, you'll be finished just in time for the party to start! :cool1:

Do you have other ADRs booked? I can add them to the ADR List on page 45 if you like :wizard:

I didn't mean to rub it in. I did a lot of haggling and my departure times on both flights is later in the day than most would like (book a motel room for the night we arrive to preserve all days of my PH passes). We fly out on a Thurs and fly back on a Wed. I even moved my vacation back a day to capitalize on certain deals. It got to the point where I think my travel agent was dodging my calls and emails(jk).

But I think what set your air price up was, when you depart, it's still considered a Turkey Day travel week.

For the past few years, I've been enthralled by all the detail that goes into readying WDW for the Christmas season. I have the History Channel's Modern Marvels: DISNEY WORLD on DVD which gives great insight. H&GTV had a great special last year. And everything else in between.

This will be my first trip to The World in 6yrs. And my first trip, while all of the decorations are still up, ever.

Really looking forward to it.

I'm so excited about the lights too!!! I saw them in 2008 but I was all by myself (I had a conference at the Dolphin Thanksgiving week). It was gorgeous and the castle lighting ceremony brought a tear to my eye. This time DH will be with me and I CAN'T WAIT - however, he'll laugh at me if I tear up!!!

I just noticed your ticker and you'll be there a day before me. How long do you plan on staying? We'll be there the 23-29th

We're there the 22-28th! We've been at Christmas, but never on the actual day, so we're pretty excited. It's going to be strange, but fun!!! DH keeps saying, "So, we don't have to decorate the house, right?" Well maybe not, but I'm planning on decorating our room!!!! :lmao:

A Cm just told me since she can not open the CP page at this moment, she thinks that is good indication the site is being updated and may have complete narrator and pricing info tomorrow at 6:00 am when the Disney site is uploaded.? :santa:

I'm so excited I've also never been around Christmas time and I feel like a little kid waiting to see what Santa left me under the Christmas tree. :santa:

So excited we are back at POFQ. Origionally booked POFQ but had to switch to CBR for free dining. Went online today and there is was POFQ. The CM I called coudn't bring it up to switch resorts so I booked a whole new reservation and canceled the old one. We love POFQ and are so happy to be returning.
