Just joined the club! We are going 12/15 - 12/20 and can't wait for our first Christmas Disney trip. Time to subscribe to this thread!

Even though the wait is brutal, I love the planning. Diving into ADR's, park plans, reading these boards.....its all great!

Sounds like someone needs to start a pre-trip report.

Welcome to the club! Our family will be there too from the 15th-21st! Where are you staying? Isn't planning a blast?:surfweb:

We're staying at Pop Century. This has become our tradition. We're limited to the values and have thought about trying the others (Movies, Music), but we just love Pop too much. Having the dedicated bus is very nice.

And yes, planning is awesom! It's a lot like playing legos. Building and arranging is just as much fun as playing with the final product. Not to mention it also helps pass the time and stay immersed in all things Disney.

Anyone been during this time of year before? Curious to know about crowd levels. I'm banking on it being pretty busy, but hoping that the Christmas rush holds off a bit. It hasn't been that difficult to get ADR's, so i'm hoping that's a good sign.

I'm newer to the DISboards. Where do I start a pre-trip report? I already have all my ADR's and touring plan squared away.

Go to the board that has the Pre-Trip Reports, and start your own thread. You can start it however you like, but most people start off by introducing the cast of characters. From there the entries are about whatever you want to right about. If you are a bit leary, just read some of the ones created by others. Alot of people have a link in their signatures. (Hint hint, go read mine) They are fun, and it is interesting to read what others think of your story.

If you don't know how to do it yet, you can create a link in your signature by copying the URL for the thread you create. Click on the Quick Links and go to edit signature. Type in whatever you want to call your PTR. Highlight that text, hit the Insert Link button, it looks like a blue ball with a chain link, sorry maybe someone can describe it better. then paste the URL. Then hit save.

See, simple.:lmao:

Things will start picking up after the 18th when schools let out for winter break.
You should take a ride over to the All-Star Movies while you are there. The kids will love the decor.

I did a homemade autograph book for this last December trip and plan to just use it again probably. I will probably order a shirt off etsy or find a dis-igner to make a design for my son to wear.

trublu- glad you got the trip rebooked (for now anyhow) :rotfl:;) :thumbsup2

i tried to link everyone that has a trip report in the overall list of who is going in December (see middle link in my sig). i have one going too (first link in my sig!)

Big news. They released the cp reservations, and all of them sold out in 10 minutes.

OK, not really, just pulling your chain.:lmao: No news.

:lmao: Oh haha. You are too funny.

That IS a good sign!

My DD LOVES Pop Century...because they have the best cheese fries at Disney :rotfl: AND because we stayed in a purple building (her favorite color at the time). Gotta love kids' reasoning!

How did I miss that you had a PTR? Just started reading...shhhhh! Don't tell the boss! I'm at work! :surfweb:

So excited I finished DS's autograph book. Turned out really cute!!! I have a few disigns saved on my computer from last year and from our March trip. Ever since I got my Cricut I've been having a blast. I am going to make shirts with it and iron on vinyl, once I find it that is LOL. I don't know what I am more obsessed about DIsney or my Cricut. The fact that I can combine the two makes for a very very very happy mommy!

Well it is pretty subtle and doesn't really stand out much.

You know the Green and Red text almost look like camoflage. I should have included some Pixie dust emoticons around it to make it noticeable.

Now I have to go and change my sig. I like that pixie dust. Maybe it will help people to notice my link.

Aha! :wizard: I have figured out that it was "vacation brain"....and the fact that you STARTED your PTR while I was on VACATION in CALIFORNIA! And the fact that I am amazingly unobservant. :tilt: This is what caused me to miss your PTR. So, now however, I am all caught up. :)

Well, I guess I can accept the excuse that you weren't here. And even though you have been back for a little while, you were probably catching up on other stuff and must have missed it.

I updated my signature to make it a little less subtle, so I won't be accepting of future excuses.

I have to tell all you awesome people with PTR that I LOVE them!!!! I read everyone that is listed even when I don't get to reply! You all ROCK!

Thanks for all you do to keep this up! Can you pls link my PTR in the thread? :flower3:

We are moving THREE times during our stay! I know I'm crazy.. half is in Saratoga and Half in AK but moving to a Savanna View room for the last two nights.. so we could do three different kinds of DP if we wanted to. Thinking of doing Deluxe for two nights in the middle since we want to eat at the new pizza place in Epcot that is pretty $$. This way we will get the mug for the entire time at AK too. I'll be able to carry over some credits to eat someone on the last day before we leave.. back to square one now! Changing some ADRs! Where is a good table service to eat lunch at Hollywood??

Changing DDPs is why I am trying to do a split stay. Unfortunatly there is no availability anywhere other then our first night. So I am hoping our waitlist comes through so I can do Deluxe the first part of the trip and regular DDP for the rest.

As far as eating at DHS we have only eaten at 50s Prime time and we enjoyed the food. We had a crappy waiter who was so not into the theme and the giving us a hard time which was disappointing BUT like I said I liked the food and the CM's that were waiting on other tables and into the act were awesome and we still got a good laugh with them. We are trying MM with the F! package and we are also doing lunch at Sci FI.
