This just might work out even better than I hoped!

IF - I can talk DS into skipping his Church play (and I think I can), then we will just move our trip to Tues-Tues instead of Sat-Sat. That bumps us to the $49 flight (each way) that Southwest is having!!!!! Since we have a $930 credit we have to use before May, and we'll only be using $400.... I've checked and the kids have a Friday off school in October. The $49 fares are available that day, too. We could fly down for 1 night and do MNSSHP with the rest of the credit!!!!!:woohoo: I've never considered flying down for one night before, but it sure would be fun to go to both parties this year!!! :goodvibes

That would be awesome!!! I for one am super excited to be going to both parties, so I can compare :rotfl:

This sounds like an awesome plan!!!! I so wish we could do that. I'll just be happy when Nov 30 get here!

Not a 6 hour drive, it takes at least 6 hours to get to Atlanta from where I live. I live in the Raleigh area and it takes about 10 hours or so.

I see my mistake. I guess not many of you live on 95. Bad assumption on my part.

I started making my kids their autograph books last night. Of course once I got the cover for my DS's done my DD changed her mind and wants one like his LOL. So what kinds of things do you make for your trips? This is my first year making the books. I always make shirts. I am going to try to tye dye some if not then I will stick with the iron on ones.

Vicki

No fair, you get to do MNSSHP and MVMCP? I wish I lived in North Carolina. We would be going to Disney alot more often since it is only what, a 6 hour drive, or a $49 flight away.

I'm in Alabama and only a 6 hour drive and it can be so convenient.

But, if we don't keep running head first into trouble, we won't be going at Christmas. Our washer quit just days before our trip in May, we replaced that, no problem; I had to buy tires for my van, again no real problem. Saturday night, my dryer died and can't be fixed and then my DH calls today and says something went out on his car, hoping it was just a hose.

Good Luck! :tinker::tinker:

We actually made a 60 day out calendar. We got a bunch of the Mickey notes from the scrap book store and two big poster boards that we taped together. We just wrote the numbers on the Mickey heads and decorated in the middle with a bunch of stickers. I will see if I can post pictures tomorrow.

As promised here are some pics.

We also order our MVMCP tix today too! :santa:

I decided very recently I am doing pillowcases for autographs. I think my young children (DD4 and DS3) will enjoy sleeping on them when we come home.

I plan on making shirts for all of us, tip envelopes, tags for all the bags...and the list goes on and on. I am a very crafty person. I should start soon! LOL :lmao:

I have not had a fun 24 hours! BUT - I've finally worked our trip out. I decided that I didn't want to go during the times I could get $49 tickets, so MNSSHP is out.

I spent a L-O-N-G time on the phone with a wonderful CM who got my trip insurance switched without a fee :worship:, and I have re-booked our trip - hopefully for the last time!!! :upsidedow

Our new dates are: Dec 10-19 still at AKL. (The $$$ went up, but I'm not telling DH. The kids and I really want to stay there, so SHHHHH... :ssst: Don't anybody tell on me! ;))

If I can find any decent ADRs, I'll post our list. :guilty: Eventually - once I'm 100% sure we aren't going to change again :headache: - I'll be cancelling some really great ADRs for the week of 12/4-12/11. Two Le Celliers!!!!

Wow, that just sounds too wonderful for words!! It will be so fun!! I too wish I lived closer to the world!

Planning on arriving on Dec 16th, one day after my 51st Bday. DW, DS 26, DS 22 and Granddaughter 5. Been to Disney several times but first Christmas time trip. Looking at staying at the All Star Music.

:bday: Happy Birthday!!! We will miss you and your family, we are going just before my 50th birthday on Dec. 15th!!! Sounds like we may share a special day!!

BTW - this is our 2nd Christmas trip (well it was Thanksgiving.. but it looked like Christmas!!) So excited!! It was just magical!:santa: This one is going to be even better!!

You really need to start a pre-trip report.
You will be at AKL the same time as I am for a few days. Katie & Glen will be there as well. So it isn't all bad, although cancelling the ADR's sucks.

 Just thought I would pop in and say hi

DH and I are flying over from Australia to see the goings on at Christmas. It is also an early birthday pressie from my DH for me. Look forward to going back through this post to read about other December 2010 travelers.

Just joined the club! We are going 12/15 - 12/20 and can't wait for our first Christmas Disney trip. Time to subscribe to this thread!

Even though the wait is brutal, I love the planning. Diving into ADR's, park plans, reading these boards.....its all great!

Welcome to the club! Our family will be there too from the 15th-21st! Where are you staying? Isn't planning a blast?:surfweb:

I have already had a few designers on DISigns make me some personalized creations-will probably add more!:rotfl:
I found a great place to order autograph books! They are personalized with over 100 designs to choose from!:surfweb: PM if you want more info!:thumbsup2
Our kids love to trade pins-I've got special pins for POP, their favorite characters(DD 11 loves JoBro's-new 4 piece set out for them!) and lots of Christmas pins for them to trade-I have enough to give them two new ones each day! I also bought Christmas lanyards for them to use since this is special Christmas trip for them!
I'm busy making magnets for our resort door at POP and our own vinyl clings for the windows! I started making my own magnets last year, but didn't know you could buy vinyl cling paper at any local office supply store! This is going to be so much fun!!!!:wizard:

I was on vacation...and then had "vacation brain" all week last week....did I miss anything about CP reservations? Are we still waiting on WDW to open the reservations?

Big news. They released the cp reservations, and all of them sold out in 10 minutes.

OK, not really, just pulling your chain.:lmao: No news.
