I really need to get off the disney website and leave my trip alone!

That being said: Since I talked to the CM this morning and gave me the grim news of having to do two separate ressies to arrive on my date and then get free dining, I was pricing out some things and already all of the non-bunk bed rooms at WL are gone!:scared1: It's just my husband and myself, so we really don't want some extra beds in our room. Long story short, I'm not really into many Deluxe resorts. I like the Contemporary and AKL. We stayed AKL last time and promised ourselves we'd go different this time, and Contemporary is too expensive (we want to do it full out tower MK view). So we decided to go with Coronado Springs. I love the pictures of the rooms, they're much more beautiful than most of the deluxes (no ugly bedspreads). So we're doing Dec 9 one night king bed Premium MYW package! and Dec 10-16 king bed FD upgraded to Deluxe =):cloud9: I'm so excited! I'm going to change a couple dining ressies so I can get some more signatures our of the way on my Premium plan and we're going to have tickets to La Nouba included. This trip just keeps getting better. Has anyone stayed at CSR before? Any comments?

Aghhh LA NOUBA is FABULOUS!!!!!!!!! I love love love cirque du soleil. La Nouba is one of my all time favorites.. out of this world! I have seen it 4 times! I just can not get enough of it!

Have you seen it before?

PS> loveeee CSR! not sure if its the memories that it carries but either way its awesome!

The thing we most want to see is the gingerbread house at the GF.

I am looking forward to that as well. We went the first week in January in 2007, and they had already taken down the gingerbread house when we went to see it. Very bummed about that, it was supposed to be there until the 5th. Oh well, we will definitely get to see it this time.

Yay! That would be perfect!!! I'm looking at Nov. 13-20. :woohoo:
It looks like last year, the Gingerbread House was up by Nov. 16th and then Nov. 17th the year before that. You should be ok. Even if for some reason it wasn't ready yet, you would at least be able to witness them assemble it. But again, you should be ok with those dates.

HI :wave2: DH & I will hopefully be there Dec 12 - 17th. We've got to see how things are going with DD21. She was in an accident and sustained severe brain trauma. If she's far enough along in her recovery, we'll be there. Here's praying for miracles!

Wow, sorry to hear about that. Here's hoping and praying for a speedy recover. pixiedust:

Praying for a successful recovery so you can have a wonderful celebration at WDW in December!

We recently booked 12/11-12/19 (added an extra day to the pin) at ASSp. This is Dbf's first time to Disney, and it's even more perfect with him coming home from Deployment in October. :cool1:
We'll be at ASSp for part of your stay. We can't wait!

Thanks for his service!! :flower3:

Looks like I'm back to not know what we are doing again!

I stayed up late last night and planned the PERFECT trip for Nov 13-20. I got all of our ADRs at exactaly the times I wanted and everything. THEN, I remembered that is football season... I looked and we have tickets to games on the 13th and the 20th!!!!! :headache: Can't miss those either...

We may be stuck paying for dining! :scared1: BUT, the bad thing is that the kids are expecting AKL now, no way we are staying there and paying for dining, too. :sad2:

Why can't things just magically work out like I want them to????? ;)

You'll find a way!

Just make a calendar of all your commitments--football, Christmas Carol, and anything else you can think of. Then look for all the pockets of time where you can squeeze a trip in between. Compare those pockets of time with the current deals to see when you can save money. Try to be flexible and maybe leave or return on a day you wouldn't normally consider (like a weekday). Also, don't be stuck on a certain length of vacation. Even one day at Disney is better than no days!

As for Animal Kingdom Lodge, you could always do a room-only for one night just to experience it. It doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing part of your trip.

It will work out!

Thanks. That is kind of what I did this morning. It looks like my boys are going to have to choose - 6 days in November at AKL or 8 days in December at POFQ. Neither is perfect, but both are wonderful! :upsidedow

Congrats to all those that now get free dining. We did free dining the last two years, it was great. This year renting points so out of the question, but am so excited for AKV! Podcast team recorded show this week about Christmas in July details about MVMCP and Osbourne light is anyone wants to get excited about their December trips even more.
cool- have to check out this week's podcast, i haven't listened yet this week!

Has anyone stayed at CSR before? Any comments?
i haven't stayed there, but visited quite a few times- the rooms look fabulous (a friend was staying there), the pool looks really fun too. We've actually had to stop by there to use their business center before! lol

wow, lots of thoughts, prayers and pixie dust for you guys. A coworker's son was just in a car accident about a month ago and also has brain injuries. he just got moved to out patient therapy though. He's come a long way already and i hope your daughter will as well!! nothing like a little disney to help the recovery process and the spirit! Keep in mind you can also ask for a GAC if you need one for her for any medical conditions that might make it difficult for her at the parks.

can't wait to hear how it turns out! while i love the deluxes, i think i would pick the longer trip! :rotfl:

I am having way too much fun planning this trip. I just called and made a 3rd set of changes - we are now staying at Coronado Springs. Basically, the free dining paid for the upgrade. :woohoo: The dates stayed the same this time - December 21-January 4. I still need to decide on 2 more table service restaurants so that I can make reservations.

We'll be there Dec 12-17th, most likely at POP, although we haven't booked yet.
My husband says we can either stay at WL, which is our usual resort, or we can stay at POP and use the money we save to get me an IPhone, which I've been dying for.
Decisions, decisions. :-)

You can add me to the list!! Staying at All Star Sports with my DH, DS(5 - will be 6) & DD(2) from Dec 21-26 with FREE DINING!!! :dance3: We'll check out, but just move to an All Star Vacation home we are splitting with my husband's brother's families (total of 15 people) where we'll be until Dec 30th. I have several ADR's already, but saving the 24th for CP dinner package. Hoping to get something good for that.

Good Luck with that CP package on 12/24, because there isn't alot of availability as it is for that day. I have been trying and had to take what I could and we aren't doing the CP package. Other days seem to have alot of availability, but this is our Epcot day. I did Akerhsaus Breakfast at 8:40am.

Well I would pick Pop and the Iphone. I know WL is gorgeous and a deluxe is great to stay at, but you will have the Iphone for a long time ater ther trip. Pop is a great resort. Good luck in your decision.

aren't changes fun? I mean what else do we do while we wait? ;)

hmmmm, i am also a voter of the iphone/Pop. Deluxes are great, but will you really be in the room much? And....WL will be there next time. You can start using your iphone now! Plus gotta love all the great disney apps, i especially love eticket and being able to access these boards from my phone so easy!

Having stayed at both resorts, you can't go wrong with either one. They are both great in there own unique way.
