Hi everyone! I can't believe I just now found this thread, anyway count us in for December. DH and I will be there with my parents Nov. 29-Dec. 8 at AKL CL! We are actually going to stay in a standard or pool view on the 29th since that is arrival day and our flight doesn't even land till 6 but then we will move up to Club level the next morning.
I saw there are a few others at AKL while we are, hope you all have a great trip and I'll wave if I notice any DIS stuff on you.![]()
Good luck! It sure is hard to pass up free dining!!!Just wanted to chime in green with jealous for all of you all. I want to go to WDW in Dec this year so bad but since we just bought a new car DH says no way. MIL wants to go to and with free dining being announced I floated it by DH again yesterday he didn't say NO!!!!!So I am waiting a few days to approach it again. Will talk to the MIL this weekend see if she wants to split costs on room and then will make another proposal to DH, if so I might get to join the list, right now I'll just give you guys lots of my jealous stares

Hey fellow Las Vegan!
Thanks, I'll try that. But, this would make it 7 days. I already plan to pull them for 5. And, I really hate to give up our tickets to A Christmas Carol. They are non-refundable. Just can't decide what to do...![]()

Unfortunately, if you don't check in on that first day, they cancel the entire reservation.I hope I haven't made a huge mistake here...
For the same price as 7 nights at POFQ with dining (not free) I got 9 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge, pool view (free dining). I'm not completely sure we can go 2 nights early. I'll have to get it OK'd with the school and sell our tickets to a play. SO... what happens if we can't actually go the 2 extra days? Can we pay for them anyway and just get there when we get there? It wont cost us any more than it would have to stay at POFQ anyway. I made the reservation, now I'm worried about it.![]()
I have a question for a friend who is traveling with her family at the same time as us...
They are checking in on DEC 15 and checking out on DEC 24. She called to add the free dining to her ressie today, but they made her do 2 reservations... 1 from DEC 15 - 21 (with free dining & it includes all her park tickets), and one for DEC 22-24 (outside of the free dining period - so she has no dining plan for those days - it's booked as "room only")...
here is my question---Has anyone been able to book the free dining for their entire trip, even if only the beginning is during the free dining period? I always thought if you booked before free dining ended that you would get it for the entire stay.
Thanks for responding so quickly. I told her I thought she should call back because normally you can get free dining through the whole trip. She actually talked to 2 CMs because she made changes after first booking it, and both split her ressie. weird. She will definitely be calling back!
I really need to get off the disney website and leave my trip alone!
That being said: Since I talked to the CM this morning and gave me the grim news of having to do two separate ressies to arrive on my date and then get free dining, I was pricing out some things and already all of the non-bunk bed rooms at WL are gone! It's just my husband and myself, so we really don't want some extra beds in our room. Long story short, I'm not really into many Deluxe resorts. I like the Contemporary and AKL. We stayed AKL last time and promised ourselves we'd go different this time, and Contemporary is too expensive (we want to do it full out tower MK view). So we decided to go with Coronado Springs. I love the pictures of the rooms, they're much more beautiful than most of the deluxes (no ugly bedspreads). So we're doing Dec 9 one night king bed Premium MYW package! and Dec 10-16 king bed FD upgraded to Deluxe =)
I'm so excited! I'm going to change a couple dining ressies so I can get some more signatures our of the way on my Premium plan and we're going to have tickets to La Nouba included. This trip just keeps getting better. Has anyone stayed at CSR before? Any comments?
We stayed at CSR last year and loved it! It's a beautiful resort and made us feel like we were stepping into another world. The lobby has a wonderful fountain and the grounds are so pretty. There are even hammocks to relax on by the water. We were also very impressed with the rooms and the bedding (I agree that bedspreads are less appealing). The resort had a renovation in 2009, which definitely helped. The dark wood furniture also made everything seem so rich. You'll love it!Has anyone stayed at CSR before? Any comments?
Hi,
You can add me in at AKL from the 10th-19th. Yay!
Also, has anyone else who just booked FD noticed that it seems ridiculously easy to get good ADRs? I got everything I wanted no problem, although to be fair I wasn't trying for Le Cellier because the two of us traveling are vegetarians.I was preparing to be much more stressed out about dining, and it just seemed to come together so easily. I'm thrilled!
Those are the tickets we have. This is our first time seeing it, and we have great seats. DH and I talked about it tonight, and we're just not willing to give it up. SO - it looks like we might be moving our trip to November. As to the A Christmas Carol tickets, if it is the David Ira Wood production at the DPAC, you shouldn't have any trouble selling them to someone else. Let me know if these are the tickets you have, how many tickets, and the dates and I might be able to help you sell them to someone.

Does anybody know if anything will be different with decorations or events in Nov. vs. Dec. The thing we most want to see is the gingerbread house at the GF. Will it be there in November?![]()
Yay! That would be perfect!!! I'm looking at Nov. 13-20.Well, I believe it will be completed by at least mid-November.
