Thinking about a Chef Mickey's dinner before the MVMCP. Any ideas about how long we should plan for a Chef Mickey dinner? If we can get a 5:00 pm reservation, I assume being at MK by 7:00 wouldn't be a problem, but wondering how late we could do Chef Mickey's and still get to MK for most of the events at MVMCP.

You can plan on at least an hour to hour and a half for the meal. You do know that you can get into MK @ 4pm with the MVMCP tickets?

Finally completed my ADR's this morning. I love this new online system as my official booking date isn't until the 12th.Got everything I wanted at the times I wanted except for Calii Grill. All the 8:00 times were gone.I'm hoping if we get there early and are seated, we might get to go outside and see wishes before our apps. DH and I are celebrating our 21st anniversary so here's hoping.

ok - this is new for me. you mean you went online somewhere to make ADR's instead of calling and by doing so you could make your ADR's a whole week earlier than if you telephoned? i've got to try that! i hope i can find the correct website for this.

When you click on the calendar and put in your date it will ask you to log in and enter your confirmation # and date of arrival. The only drawback is I had to do this every morning but I got what I wanted. Good luck.

now i won't have to wait until 6/20 to book for our 12/17-12/24 trip...i can start on the 6/10---i just have to wake up before 5 a.m. each day....

The reason you'll be able to do this is because of a glitch in the system which may or may not still be there on 6/10. What happens is that if you try to select a date more than 180 days out it will ask you for your reservation # and your arrival date, but instead of putting in your actual date, put in the date that's 180 days out (so on 6/10 you would put in 12/7 instead of 12/17). Apparently it didn't occur to anyone that people would put in a wrong arrival date, so they didn't put anything in to check that the arrival date matched the one on the reservation. Assuming the glitch is still there, you would then have to adjust your arrival date each day in order to get the day you want to open up.

Has anyone read/heard anything about when reservations might begin for the new restaurant at Mexico Pavillion in the World Showcase at Epcot?

I've heard it'll be July/August for ADRs for this and the new Italian restaurant, Via Napoli



Just made our first two ADRs online today!! So simple to do.. I do love phoning wdw-dine though to make reservations, but it's great to be able to do it 190 days out

The reason you'll be able to do this is because of a glitch in the system which may or may not still be there on 6/10.

I'm not sure why people think this is a glitch. When you use the system it states: "Guests who have a Resort hotel reservation can book dining reservations more than 180 days before their stay." That seems pretty clear to me.

Finally completed my ADR's this morning. I love this new online system as my official booking date isn't until the 12th.Got everything I wanted at the times I wanted except for Calii Grill. All the 8:00 times were gone.I'm hoping if we get there early and are seated, we might get to go outside and see wishes before our apps. DH and I are celebrating our 21st anniversary so here's hoping.

Thanks for this info! I just booked our first ADR but didn't realize I will need to do this every day! It should be fine though! I was trying to make that 12/13 ADR and then came back and read your second post so I'll be trying again tomorrow! Thanks again for the tip!

I think the reason people are calling it a glitch is because of how you have to trick the system. I think if it was meant to do what it is doing it you could put in your check in date and it would open. I think the more then 180 days is meant to reflect the +10. Also I thini the shows and CRT would be included then as well. But then who knows what Disney is doing other then trying to never let me sleep in again. LOL

It isn't a glitch. You can book Dining 190 in advance online, and 180 in advance by phone.
I just booked our Dec 11-18 vacation yesterday. 3 days at AKL, and 4 days at the Poly. Had a code for 40% off the rooms from the 12-18, so I got to save a bunch of money too.
Already have breakfast at the Tusker House booked for the morning of the 12th. Need to make dinner reservations that include Fantasmic, but have to do that over the phone.

I agree that this is not a glitch. After coming here last night I tried and got my 11:30 lunch for 50's Prime Time Cafe. Don't use the calendar. Manually put in your date. I did for 12/12 and it popped up that guests of the resorts can book early with a reservation number. So, I logged in, gave my actual check in date which is 12/11 and was able to make a reservation for 12/12. This is not my 180+10 dates. My actual date to start making ADRs was 6/14 but I was able to make one last night and one this morning. This is just a perk of having onsite accomodations and using the online system. You don't have to fudge any of your dates. My guess is that it is a kind of unadvertised perk. The only draw back is that you are doing it day by day but I'm up at 6AM everyday anyway and it just takes a minute.

You can plan on at least an hour to hour and a half for the meal. You do know that you can get into MK @ 4pm with the MVMCP tickets?

I got a reply from www.disney.com that we couldn't enter MK with the hard ticket for MVMCP until 7:00 pm. I have read on other sites that it is 4:00 pm and sent an e-mail to confirm offically with DW. I hope that this isn't new for this year. May just make an in the MK reservation and one outside the park to cover both situataions.

You can get in at 4 PM but the activities don't start until 7 PM

As for the ADR system you can make your ADRs earlier except for dinner shows and CRT.

I am also going 12/11-12/18, thanks for posting how you can book ADR's early.
I was able to book them till 12/13, if I tried to type in 12/14 it wouldn't allow me to book. I am assuming that I will be able to book 12/14, tomorrow and then do each day after.
