yep, there will be a party on the 2nd and 3rd, so the 4th is your only night to see it in the park directly. Typically the MK will be open late that saturday too (1am probably) in order to 'make up' for the lost hours from MVMCP for guests not attending MVMCP. keep in mind due to the extended park hours, the MK is always really busy on those extended hours saturdays- if i remember right, it was like an 8 on the crowd calendar, while the rest of the week was like 4/5s. (touring plans website).

Yeah- just saw that. I am waiting to find out which are the DVC discounted dates. planning for either 12/7 or 12/9!
here are the 2010 MVMCP dates:
November 8, 11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 28, and 30
December 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 17.

Thanks! We are going to change our dates to Dec. 4th-9th(travel day the 4th) so that we miss the Christmas parade and crowd.:thumbsup2 I think we will do MK on Monday the 6th so that we can see Wishes!:goodvibes

November hours are already up!!!!!!!! All 4 parks have hours for november listed!

Advance Purchase: $57.46 for adults 10 and older / $51.07 for ages 3-9 (Not available December 7, 10, 12, 17 or 19) ????

Does this mean all those days in December are sold out already? Why no advance purchase available for those days?

I sure hope not! Really limits the options for those of us traveling in December

I called my TA about the MCMCP tickets going on sale for the dates that have been listed. She also saw the information that was printed on the Allears newsletter and when she and other TA's tried calling to confirm the datew with Disney, no one at Disney could confirm what was printed in the newsletter.

Doesn't it just mean there is no Advance Purchase discount for those dates? I don't think they mean you cannot buy tickets in advance for those dates.

So excited to see the tickets are officially on sale! Now we can start planning (well, we've been planning, but now it's serious)! We LOVE going to Disney during December, and this year will be no exception.

We were soo close to booking our first Disney cruise in December 2010. But, as of yesterday, we've decided to just do our regular WDW vacation (unless some crazy cruise deal comes up). For us, it came down to cancellation policy and vacation insurance issues. Just not ready to commit to a cruise and being locked into it during flu season and icy weather. So WDW, here we come!! So excited!!

:

As I posted before, as of yesterday afternoon, my TA could not get anyone at Disney to confirm those dates and whether the tickets would go on sale today.

Has anyone called to check to see if you can get the advance purchase discount for the Dec dates? This is the first year we will be able to go we normally always get there the day after the last party. So now I am thinking about buying us tickets. But I already want to do the Pirate Fireworks cruise and wishes dessert party if its available. So thats a lot of $$ already.

What to do what to do?

As of this morning, ticket sales are now up on Disney's website (go to WDW homepage, select Parks --> Buy Park Tickets -->choose Special Events from drop-down menu). Advance Purchase tickets are available on select dates. There are some dates in December that do not offer Advance Purchase rates because of the popularity of those days.

Happy planning everyone! We do MVMCP every year and love it!!

Is Tuesday a good night of the week to go?

I would think Tuesday should be a good day to go. Most people try to pad their vacation activities in the Thursday-Monday range, leaving Tuesdays and Wednesdays not as busy.

But I would try to pick the best day that fits your schedule versus trying to dodge any crowds. We've gone to MVMCP on different days and the crowds are always fine. So, first, I would try for any discount days. If none of them work, then just choose whatever day works best for you. When we do MVMCP, we skip the parks that day because MVMCP is cheaper than a Magic Your Way ticket (and you can get into the park as early as 4pm and stay til midnight with a MVMCP ticket, which is great). Hope that helps!

Wait, we dont have to use our ticket that day? let me see if I have this right...If we were going to get 7 day magic your way tickets but we really want to do the MVMCP, then we can ditch one of those days and do something else during the day and just go to MK that night? I thought it had to be added onto a MYW Ticket.

We decided to visit the park during Christmas time (22nd-29th) for a couple of reasons.

1. We have never gone anywhere for Christmas.
2. We wanted to see the park during a holiday that is truly special to our family (the birth of Christ).

This month is really the first month I have caught the fever though.

Forgot, we are staying at the Contemporary Resort in the New Tower.

Correct - well, correct that you don't use your MYW ticket to get into the MVMCP. The MVMCP ticket is a totally separate ticket and gets you into the MK as early as 4:00, although the party activities don't start until 7:00. What I do on the day I go to the party is I spend the day checking out the Christmas decorations at the deluxe resorts then do a 5:00 dinner at Chef Mickey's.
