First time going for the Holiday Season. Weather got to be better then whats coming to Illinois this weekend. Cold here Here we come WDW!!!

my quick update for today is I REALLY dont like MSEP.. I miss Spectro

We haven't seen MSEP yet, but I'm super sad that we won't be seeing Spectromagic. I love it. I listen to the CD a couple times a week!

We are Disney addicts, and I am surprising my 16 yr old DD (soon to be 17) for a 4 night trip to Orlando.

Her birthday is Dec 22nd and we fly out of Memphis for Orlando on Dec 26-Dec 30. We are staying at the Hilton at Downtown Disney.

I'm 16, turning 17 in January and I was just surprised with my trip to WDW last Wednesday for Channukah! It was the best feeling in the world, and I know your DD will appreciate it as much as I did! We'll be there the 25th-29th, similar dates!

On another note, I am offically a D23 member as of tonight! Now my prospects of going to the Expo next year are even higher!

I experienced the central Florida chill this past February...we were walking around Epcot in full winter gear! That's something I never expected to do! At least we'll be prepared for the cold this time around.

Hope everyone in WDW right now is having an amazing time, and that everyone heading down soon has safe travels to the happiest place on earth!

I am so there with you!! DD #2 had the stomach bug last week, DD #1 had it yesterday, DS has a cold, and I am starting to feel yucky. We have been taking airborne for the last few days. Hoping it works. Driving 17 hours sick is pure torture!! I started getting sick the last days of our vacation last year and drove home sick.

That would be torture! I picked up Vitamin C drops today. Here's some get & stay well pixie dust for all of us!!!

Well, our house is sold, we go to have a contract made next week, so it is signed and ready to go before we leave for WDW! Now, if I could only find the perfect house for us! . We are all finally starting to get real excited about WDW, We have a real busy weekend with a basketball tournament, wrestling meet, Christmas with both sets of our parents and our DD3s sleep study in a different state , then next week lll pack and clean and pack some more and be ready to leave the following Tuesday. Cant wait til Tuesday, Ill devote all my time to getting ready for Disney!

Well were back and it was FREEZING!!!! Record low since 1981!!! An arctic front came across Florida.. lovely eh? to the point of unbearable some nights with the wind!!!!! This past monday was the worst!!! And we were suppose to stay until 1am for EMH at MK but we just could not stand it any longer. But it was fun!!!!!!!!

When we arrived to check in.. we were told our room was not ready but was guaranteed to be ready by 4pm.. and they would call or text. By 430pm I still had received nothing so I finally called.. and was able to get our room number. Systems were also down when we arrived and we were told that when we checked in we had a balance of $1778! I was like for what?! a balance? and the 102 yr old woman checking us in said "yes a balance how would you like to pay for that!?" I was flabbergasted. Reminded me of the woman on DVC phone line saying "Yes ma'am your reservation has been cancelled.. what would you like me to do about it" (I could have rung her neck!) I said we paid for our DDP and Im not sure what the balance would be for. She finally got a manager who worked everything out.

So yes on December 3rd they had a brand new system called "Lilo" going on and everyone looked confused, distraught, and helpless. lol. We ran into a few more issues a long the way with systems being down, alarms in our room, and tickets. I think I will do a trip report!

Well finally finished packing all but my carry on with the last minute things after I get ready for work tomorrow. Right after work I will be leaving for Denver then get up very early Friday morning to get to DIA and fly to the mouses house! I sure hope I have everything I need! I have two suitcases (due to taking Christmas to the kids) I have never taken this much before! Oh well I will have room to bring back things from Disney!

Thank goodness for Southwests 2 free bags policy!

Hope to see other Dis'ers with their green mickeys! Mine will be on my back pack.

One more day! EEEK!!!! Haven't done my shopping or any packing. Just spent the last 5 hours helping DS finish his rock project that has to be turned in early since I changed our flight to an earlier time on Friday. BUT - it is done and it looks great!

AND - I have to do a happy dance...
DS11 has been working for months to prepare for his audition at school for saxophone. 17 kids tried out and only 5 got it... and he was one that got it!!! He even got to choose his sax. He picked alto (my favorite)!!!

Tell your DS congrats! Where we live you can take band starting in the 6th grade. DD is playing the clarinet and sounds good already! Hope you have a safe trip! Keep checking and I will post a place where some of us can meet at MVMCP on the 16th! See you there!

We really like MSEP. Last night was our kids first time seeing it and they were delighted.

Yes, it has been cold at night but with hat and gloves it was tolerable.

Oh that sucks! I've read of a bunch of stories just like that. People's room keys not working, DDP going missing from them, and all kinds of things. Made me glad we bought tickets for the kids from UCT and we have APs but I am nervous about the DDP.

Congrats to your DS! My DS started playing the sax over the summer. They can start lessons at school in 4th grade and they offer lessons over the summer. Then they have to pass a certain point in their book to be in the Holiday concert. My DS picked it up rather quickly and is actually only 2 pages away from making advanced band! My DD plays clarinet and she was the only 5th grader picked for 2 small ensembles at the concert. Watching them play is a very proud moment! Although I recommend ear plugs for the first week LOL.

Cool! I really hope we see you there! My DS would love to talk band with your DD. He is in 6th grade, too. His band director makes them start with clarinet then audition for sax. The audition was CRAZY hard! DS said that he was shaking so hard he almost dropped his clarinet. He really was worried that he blew it, but he actually got FIRST CHAIR!

Look for us! It will be me and my 3 boys (DH, DS11{taller than me} and DS9). I've still got to make a tag for our backpack. At MVMCP we'll be wearing our UNC Santa hats.

This time tomorrow I will be running around like crazy doing last minute things. Today I'm doing as much as I can but there are lots of things that have to wait until tomorrow. I think we're going to hit the road by midnight tomorrow night and arrive in Sarasota by noon Saturday.
