**Official December 2010 Thread!!** - PART 2!

I pulled out the suitcases Monday, dusted them off and put them on the guest bed to start throwing stuff in.

What an awesome idea! I was trying to figure out how to start packing without them getting in the way!

We decided to skip MVMCP also! It was just jam packing too much. And Im really loving our new "plan"!

I know how you feel... if we were going it would either be after a full day at Epcot or on our last day when we leave very early in the morning

Alright I need some serious help...

we have lunch ADR's for Mama Melrose and 50's Prime Time.. if you could only choose one.. you would choose...?????

I love both.... but 50's slightly wins for the atmosphere. Mama's atmosphere is wonderful too, but the last time we were there we felt like we were sitting in our neighbors' laps, and had a rude waiter. (His friends were seated on the other side of us, and while he didn't wait on them, he spent the entire time ignoring us and talking with them... not typical I know, but enough for us to skip it for a few years).

i've never tried Mama's but it is on the list to try on a future trip! we do love 50s, although our last meal there last December was a nightmare. We had a party of 13 or so and it literally took 2 hours for our meal. it took at least 30 minutes to get our check and get paid up. she kept disappearing. It was terrible. but that was one of those rare service issues. We always enjoy the food and atmosphere there!

woo hoo- officially started packing last night. i went through my disney 'box' and started organizing. i think i have almost all the toiletries we need- just need to pick up a few more things. and i am pretty sure we can manage to fit DH's and my stuff in to that one large bag!! hopefully it won't go overweight. AA are sticklers on that.

and woo hoo- my ticker is now under a month!!!:dance3::dance3::dance3::cheer2::cheer2:

Tru Blu, no way am I going to be happy or feel special at home for Christmas. My mom passed away in Aug 2008 and I was so sad and miserable at home that first Christmas and I am just not ready to be here this year either.

Suzanne
I am so sorry Suzanne. My first Christmas without my dad was the worst ever! He would always wake us up early Christmas morning by shouting that Santa had been there. That first Christmas morning without him I didn't even want to get up. :sad1: So I know just how you feel. I really hope you guys can work it out. :grouphug:

Okay, I've decided. Next weekend I'm putting up my Christmas Tree and pulling out the suitcases to start putting some things in for our trip.

NOW before you all think I'm TOO crazy, notice I'm from Canada, we've already had thanksgiving SO I'm not mixing holidays ;)

We haven't had Thanksgiving yet, and I was BEGGING my DH to get out the Christmas stuff as he was putting away the Halloween stuff. :lmao: He wouldn't do it!!!

I guess I'll give him until the weekend! Hehe... that's today, right?!?!?!? :lmao:

I told my dh that we should put up the tree this weekend, too, but he refused, darn it! I am firmly of the opinion that Christmas season started 11/1, and Thanksgiving is PART of Christmas! Plus going on the trip this year I am SO ready for Christmas time.

I understand how you feel! This year, Chanukah begins on Dec. 1, so I feel like I should begin wearing my pins now, but it still seems too early! By the time the "holiday season" is in full swing, my holiday will be over! So here are my Chanukah smilies:

For those of you concerned about SCC and Candlelight Processional, you know that there are at least 2 people going during that time who don't care about it!

Brand new home for the December dis'ers! Love it! Home sick with a tummy bug today, so I figured I'd print out my restaurant.com certs and check to see if my ADRs showed back up again!!! DH doesn't want to deco the house, but I do - we'll see who wins THAT battle soon! ;)

We come back on the 19th and DH said he's not putting anything up until then. Since we get a real tree, he said it doesn't make sense to get one and put it up if it will die while we're away. That's fine. I'll just get everything ready so we can have it up the minute we get back. I'm hoping we can find a great airfare because then we can spend the 19th chopping down a tree and decorating it. DH keeps the Christmas lights up all year (yes, he's one of THOSE neighbors, LOL:lmao:) so all we have to do is plug those in :rotfl:.

Don't mean to be disrespectful, but I got a laugh out of your smilies. For some reason, I found it amusing that the candles won't stay lit :confused3(just the way it looks) and the second one, I'd quit playing with this guy cuz he keeps winning the pot! Is he cheating?? They are very cute, though.:goodvibes

I have my suitcases out and have started packing... I was also thinking I would get the decorations out today:banana::banana::banana:

We are gone for the first week of December, but DH wants to put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving. And we have cats that would be alone with it for a week while we are gone! :scared1:
I guess I am being the grinch since I'm making him wait til we get back! :rotfl:

We did too we are officially under 30 days so I felt like it was ok to start packing LOL. The toiletries are all set now just to pack summer stuff and bathing suits cold weather things will have to wait until the week before.
