**Official December 2010 Thread!!** - PART 2!

If you guys don't mind, could you send a few prayers and pixie dust my way?

I am leaving now to go get a MRI on my ankle. They think my achilles tendon has deteriorated and I may need surgery. :sad:

Since I had an incarcerated hernia right before we were to leave for the airport in June that required us to cancel our trip so I could have emergency surgery, this new possible surgery is REALLY not good news. :guilty:

Hopefully all will be fine and the PT will work, but the doc wasn't very encouraging. :sad1: Either way, I'm going to BEG him to let me go to WDW. :thumbsup2

Good luck, hope things went well for you today.

pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: Pixie dust aimed at you, Tru-Blu! I do pray that you got good news from today's MRI. Although I guess you may have to wait a few days until the results get to your doctor. Of the many doctors my DH has seen during the past 4 months all but one of the ones we asked if we could still go on our WDW vacation said yes. Our primary care doctor said yes at first but now 4 months later and with DH still dealing with vertigo that doctor thinks we are a little nuts and advised "don't go on the rides" but he did not forbid the trip. I must confess we did not even mention the planned trip to the neurologist who worked DH into his busy schedule this week. He was booked until Feb. but made an emergency exception for DH.

If you don't need immediate surgery could a scooter rental save the trip for you? We have one lined up. :flower3:

Thanks everyone! :flower3::grouphug::flower3:

The test wasn't so bad. Getting down onto the table was the worst part. After 8 abdominal hernia repairs, moving around is PAINFUL! :scared1:

They gave me a CD with the pictures to give my doc on Monday. I'm SOOOO tempted to load them up and have a look myself, but I'm afraid the doc will be able to tell somehow. :upsidedow

Just hoping for NO surgery!!! :flower3:

Can anyone remind me whether I'll get Mickey Mail? I'm doing a room only reservation, and not taking ME. Should I expect anything?

Thanks everyone! :flower3::grouphug::flower3:

I really hate that we are going to miss it. :sad: We're trying to set up a meet for MVMCP for that night, too. Hopefully we'll see you guys around. We're going to try to get to the MK by 4. :thumbsup2

We are going to try to be there by 4 too!:thumbsup2

That is one thing that I want to see but didn't book the reserved seating dinner. I just couldn't justify paying extra for something we could see free, but now I'm afraid we won't get in. I'm hoping there are lots of folks like you who want to skip it on the day we go. :upsidedow

I can't decide if we would have better luck trying to see Whoppi or SCC. :confused3 Anybody have a guess on who will be less of a crowd draw??? :confused3

Steven Curtis Chapman will have huge draw each night-very popular Christian singer and author. Whoopi will probably draw a big crowd too!

Yay! So are mine! I had faith that they were still out there, but it is nice to see them.

Ours still are not... hope they are reappearing in some kind of chronological order and ours will show up in a few more days.... need to cancel LOTS that we made as a back-up when ours disappeared and the message on-line was "You have no reservations" but won't cancel any until the originals are back on-line.
Do have printed confirmation e-mails that were sent LONG before the ADRs disappeared during the October upgrade just in case.:santa::santa::santa:

Could you add me to the list!

I have got to get on the website and see if there are any Candlelight Processional tickets left! I really would like to do that this time around!

SCC was amazing when we went. We saw him in '08, the year his daughter died, and he was calm and expressed that we really needed to listen to the message being said. It was the best experience. We planned our CP pkg for him again this year.

you don't need tickets it is included with your epcot admission. There is a dinner package available and the dinner package people get seats then the standby line gets let in. Advise usually is to line up for standby an hour in advance

We saw him from outside the theater in 2007 and would have loved to see him in 2008 (ugh, what a tug on those heartstrings!). We have tickets to see him this year at the CP (and we just saw him in concert a few weeks ago!). So excited!

I REALLY want to see SCC, too. I wish I'd done a dining package. :guilty: BUT - since I didn't, I guess we'll just get in line. I'll get some snacks in France to make the wait more fun. :thumbsup2

OH NO! I am so sorry! :grouphug: There is never a good time to lose your job, but right around the Holidays is the worst.

I truly hope you can find a way to take your trip, but being home for Christmas can be special, too.

Sending you TONS of pixie dust! :grouphug:

Thank you all for the good wishes. I at least hope we can go even for 2 to 3 nights and cut out all our TS dining, except for Christmas Breakfast, but we will see.

Tru Blu, no way am I going to be happy or feel special at home for Christmas. My mom passed away in Aug 2008 and I was so sad and miserable at home that first Christmas and I am just not ready to be here this year either.
