Ok, I've done it. I was second-guessing my reservation at POR, primarily because they're getting ready to do a rehab. And there are a lot of recent threads about how threadbare it looks. And Pop Warner's checking out the day we arrive. I know a lot of people love POR, and I know I'll try it at some point, but I wasn't willing to take a chance this time.

So I've moved to CSR! We stayed there last year before the rehab, and loved it, so I'm thrilled! I booked a king room, and they let me use the PIN I had booked with previously, even though it expired! Can you say, "Excited"?

I just went and checked my tags from Dec 09 and they are the exact same ones I got this year. I wish I would have gotten the holographic ones. Oh well. I will never forget back in 04 when the luggage tags had Tinkerbell on them. My husband had it on his backpack and never took it off after we got home. I always made fun of him for having Tinkerbell on his backpack.

Man, I didn't know they sent any other kind than the one with the castle on it. We got those this year and had the same exact ones in '06. But those got ruined so I'm going to use the ones we got this year...

I got Mickey Mail yesterday, too - our ME vouchers. Was not expecting that at all since I still have over a month to go. Couldn't find any decor at Big Lots or Walgreens, but found some cute (non-Mickey) gel clings at Home Depot while I was picking up the green mickey paint chips, so bought those.
Also got to watch my Kindergartener's first ever performance yesterday. I'm such a sap!!

I love this thread. My DH, DD (9) and DS (7) will be at Pop Century 12/2 to 12/12. I have a few ADRs (Cinderella's castle, Chef Mickey's, Garden Grille and Hollywood and Vine). I have not yet purchased Mickey's Christmas Parade tickets. Just wanted any advice or suggestions to make our trip special. Has anyone been there this time of the year? How were the crowds?

Hi, I just found this a couple days ago and have been catching up. Its great I found some people that share my excitement, my family is getting sick of hearing it.

My DS, who turns 4 on Dec 1st, and I will be arriving on the 19th and staying at POFQ until the 22nd. We'd stay through Christmas but my family would have a fit.

Its my first time traveling alone with my DS, normally my mom is with us, so that makes me a little nervous. I'm getting so excited I can't wait. I recieved my ME tags yesterday!!

We have a few ADR's:
12/19 either Rose & Crown at 6:55 or Le Cellier at 7:55 (not sure if ds can wait that late to eat(
12/20 Photopass session at GF at 4:30 and Liberty Tree Tavern at 6:45
12/21 Play 'n Dine at 8:05 and Sci Fi at 4:55

I decided against MVMCP this year I'm not sure if DS would stay up that late. We arrive that day and we will have to leave out house at 5:00 am.

Still need to order our return transportation, turns out mom can pick us up like we thought, no biggie, we will get a towncar for the return too and make it special and easy. Need to start packing some this weekend, but most of the jeans i want to bring, i will wear before the trip. Might start packing some of my son's shirts though at least. Going to really try and pack light this time- let's see if i can actually do it or not. We have a W/D in our room, so i am shooting to only bring like 4 pairs of jeans/carpis total for me and wash.

no MM for us since DVC. boo!

EMMA- can you fix my ADRs? I finally cancelled some once I got Hacienda and CLP! Remove 12/8 Tutto and Le Cellier. Add 12/8- Le Cellier at 5:10pm for Candlelight Package. Remove 12/10- Le Cellier and add Via Napoli instead for 7:45. Thanks!!!

Slightly off topic- my husband bought and printed our movie tickets for the new Harry Potter movie this friday afternoon in DBox seats!!! We saw these at the theatre a few weeks ago and think they are so cool. They're kind of like a motion machine kind of thing. I can't wait!

Totally off topic- we had booked a 12 day mediteranean cruise through Carnival on the brand new Magic for May 2011, but decided to save the money and save it for a down payment on our first house! The deposit is non-refundable, but we were able to transfer it to another booking, so we booked ourselves on a 6 night Mexican Riviera on the Carnival Spirit Jan 3 and only had to pay a little extra out of pocket. So basically my news is when I get back from my WDW trip on Dec 16, I'll only have about 2 1/2 weeks until my next vacation! The downside is I won't be taking any more vacation until Dec 2012. Long time, but I'll manage

CSR is on my to stay list. I've visited many times and it is really nice. Not sure the food court set up is to my liking, but the landscaping, pool and all are great. POR on Pop arrival or check out day is probably a mess. We were checking in at POR on the same day as them and can you say nightmare? so glad you are happy with your change!! i bet it will be fantastic!

Did you get your vouchers and luggage tags? We're going a week after you and ours came this weekend. If you haven't gotten them yet you may want to call.

As I was typing my post yesterday, DH was home and had received our second Mickey Mail packet from our TA! He kept it a secret until I got home because he wanted to surprise me Of course, then later on I handed him the stuff to look at, and he spilled it all over the floor by accident, and I temporarily got crazed. I then had to apologize. I blame the DIS for making me so excited about the mail in the first place

you know, to be honest, we shipping a box of decorations last year for our dec 10-20th trip. i had lights for the baloncy at WL and i put them out, but there is no outlet outside, so you have to plug them in inside and try and close the door on the cord, which isn't safe either. we did have a tree in our studio too- but we had so much stuff between the 3 of us, i felt like we didn't really see it or pay attention to it. this time i am not taking anything. If we were going down during actual christmas, i would, but i felt like we weren't in our room enough to really enjoy it.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about not being in the room that much, and the issue of an outside outlet. I think maybe we'll only do something small, if at all. We still have soooo much to do before our trip anyway!

It must be so great to live in Dallas, since it's a similar travelling distance to the DLR or WDW. We're very used to going to DL. WDW is going to be a real treat!
