Official Dancing with the Stars Season 7 Thread!

Tigger/Danielle, he's from here I used to work with someone who went to school with him... He comes back a lot.

Just finally getting to watch. Here are my thoughts:
Toni Braxton - very graceful and beautiful.

Brooke Burke - I love the Paso Doble and she did it great.

Rocco - blah. He was just moving around, not dancing. And I don't like Karina's new hair color.

Lance - funny song choice "I Kissed a Girl". I'm with Len on this one, I prefer a more traditional Paso Doble. They barely had the Paso Doble moves. It was a nice dance, but not a Paso. I'm really hating the addition of Lacey.

Kim K. - She's just like an empty shell. No personality on the dance floor, just going through the motions. She does not feel the dance or her partner at all. For someone who opened up her life to the public, she doesn't open up at all emotionally.

Misty - Is there anything sexier than Maks doing the Paso? Oh, wait, we're talking about Misty. This dance is great for her since she is so aggressive. You can just tell how hard she is working out there to win. I love it!
At the end did Tom Bergeron say "I liked it better when Mel B. did it."

Maurice Green - The cool jazz style of the rhumba is good for him. But it was okay, not great.

Cloris - Who knew she could be serious. But it is a little awkward to see him dragging an 82-year old woman on the floor. Her getting up, was not graceful at all. I hope she goes soon. They talked to her too long. Glad I could fast forward through it.

Susan Lucci - Please, please, please, eat a sandwich. This lady is just implants and bone. I think she's graceful, but a bit reserved to be sexual on the dance floor. That's odd with her playing a soap character.

Warren (Go Bucs!) - Love the Matrix theme. I think he was a bit awkward with his arms. He does have the footwork down. Odd ending when he almost fell on her.

Cody - I think he did well and this should be good for his career. He's doing a good job of acting the emotions of the dances. It looks like he's major ADD and is a hard one to teach (like my DD.)



Anyone else feel they judged tougher this time?

Because if the men get the women in their revealing clothes, the women need some eye candy too.

Warren (Go Bucs!) - Love the Matrix theme. I think he was a bit awkward with his arms. He does have the footwork down. Odd ending when he almost fell on her.

If I recall I think he said their costumes got stuck together.

maybe she is just out of her party girl element and use to getting by on her looks IDK ... even in her interveiw part ... she doesnt seem as excited as the other to be there.

Kim has said several times that she's actually really shy and I can see that. But I stand by my feeling that her dance was really pretty last night.

My dumb old DH turned off my DVR last night at 9:00, so I only got to see up to Misty and Maks. He turned on PMSNBC in our bedroom and then rolled over and fell asleep. I was recording DWTS and Heroes since I've been known to fall asleep before Heroes ends and I want to see both.

I also think the judges are a lot tougher this season. Also considering they had such limited time to prepare this early in the competition. Here is how I saw it:

Toni B: She was one of my faves last night. The outfit was

Brooke: She is a natural dancer and will go far in the competition. Not the best style for her though.

Rocco: No hip action, just stood there as his partner did all the dancing.

Lance: Odd choice of song (I know it wasn't their choice) and while I liked the choreography, he was too bouncy on his steps.

Kardashian: I thought she would be great at this competition, but she is very boring, no charisma and no natural ability.

Misty: I didn't like her look or the dance. She is a little too "manly" when she dances.

Maurice: ok, nothing spectacular though

Cloris: I thought she got injured at the end when they didn't get up right away. Not the best dance for them and she talks too much.

Lucci: She did much better, but still very reserved and shy on the dance floor.

Warren: I liked this routine, although it was difficult to see his leg movement.

Cody: Best dance of the night. He will be in the finals if he continues with his progression.

I really liked that dance! I'm not a big fan of most of the singers they get on the results show, but I really love when they highlight good choreographers.

Couple comments (I'm on a delay, so I'm just posting in random order off the top of my head):

I'm so glad Rocco is safe. I split my votes between him and Maurice... I think (hope) Kim has a large enough fan base to come back next week.

It's weird that we have two pros and two stars with the same name.... Toni/Tony and Kim/Kym. It takes me a minute to process which person is being talked about sometimes!!

I love Samantha Harris's dress.

People make fun of Jessica Simpson, but I think country music is a good fit for her and I think she did a good job.

That explains why Bruno and Len are cranky. What's Carrie Ann's excuse?? Her comment about Kim last night deserves an apology and I know it's not going to happen.

So glad that Kim is gone, she couldn't even prepare and perform as well as Cloris, that was obvious. She wanted to stay and play dress-up....

Cloris will probably be gone next.
