Official Dancing with the Stars Season 7 Thread!

It is nice to see him back.

I thought Lance, Toni Braxton, Cody and Misty did well. Cloris Leachman was hilarious! They had to cut her mic off when she started cussing during the scoring. :lmao: I am so not a Kim Kardashian fan. When a porn tape and a reality show based on your self promotion is what made you known, they are using a very loose translation of "star." I think Jeffery Ross and Maurice Green may be the first to go. There are so many people now, I think the least famous of the not so good will go first.

I loved Warren Sapp. He was so much fun to watch.

I think there are way too many people on this year....it is hard to keep them all straight!

I liked Brooke, Cody, Misty, Lance, Kim and Warren. I thought Ted was much better than I thought and I think he is so funny!

Susan was a little awkward to watch, I hope she gets better. She is so tiny though, she looks like she is going to break. I also was not impressed with Toni at all. I expected more from her.

Cloris, Rocco, Jeffrey, or Maurice can go home tonight and I wouldn't really care who.

I also wish they would have given a little more background on the new pros since they seem to influence the voting as well.

And finally, was it just me or did Cheryl look out of shape? I know she was always bigger than the other girls, but she really looked different last night.

I wish they wouldn't eliminate anyone the first week. That would let us see who has gotten over the nerves and has improved. JMO

I also think Jeffery Ross will be the first to go. From last night, I would like to see everyone else stay another week to see what how they improve.

I'll be glad once the first week is over and we get down to a reasonable number of people.

I thought something was different about Cheryl too! I actually adjusted my screen size because I thought the aspect ratio was off. She still looks really good...just different, you're right.

We thought the same thing. Well, actually, my DH said it. He always liked Cheryl because she was a bit more curvy than the other girls, but he mentioned she looked much bigger last night. I wonder if she's just out of shape from not dancing as much while she puts her dance school together? I still think she looks pretty, just needs clothing that helps her, not hurts her.

I forgot that the show was coming on last night.

DH reminded me, so I only missed part of it. Out of what I saw....
Warren was my favorite. :lovestruc
Jeffrey was awful - but funny.
And - I loved Lacey and Lance. I've always enjoyed watching Lacey dance, so I hope they go far.

I thought Kim made a wise costume selection - you couldn't see her big booty at all. ;)

Susan Lucci lives in my old town. She is TINY. Like a tiny bird just so very delicate.

Another chance for me to share my Susan Lucci story
My son was 4 and playing at his best friend's house- they lived next door to Susan Lucci. (big time swanky!)
Well when I get there to pick him up the nanny tells me that they went over to play on the trampoline next door(susan Lucci's house)
I was trying to get info out of my 4 year old on the trampoline(which I was slightly shocked by- but he was fine) when he says "I made a poopy on the potty"
HUH???:scared1: Where?
"It was a fancy bathroom"
:scared1:
Did you wipe?
"The lady helped me"
:scared1: WHAT LADY???!
The tiny lady

So I don't know for certain but the story goes that Susan Lucci wiped my son's butt.

Back to normally scheduled dwts commentary- I thought plenty of them stunk last night.

Or could it be all the :drinking1???.... TMZ catches her out wasted quite often.

I always thought Cheryl had the greatest voluptuous figure but last night she just seemed a little heavier than last season. Remember TV adds ten lbs. to your weight automatically. :guilty: So can you imagine how tiny Susan must be in person if she looks that thin and frail on TV? :scared1: Drink a few malts, girl!!! :cool1:

Wasn't impressed at all with Susan's dancing but loved Cloris and Warren's attitudes. Thought Warren danced great and Cloris is a total stitch. What a fun person! I know Cloris won't go too far but I think Warren will stick around for at least a while.

I loved Warren Sapp. He was so much fun to watch.

He was surprising! I thought he would be kind of clumsy but I thought he did really well. My favorites were Lance (:lovestruc ), Brooke, and Warren. Cloris was hysterical. :rotfl: God bless her for getting out there at 82!! :worship: I thought Kim did alright. :confused3 I thought Susan Lucci would do much better than she did. Ted was rather boring. I think Jeffrey and perhaps Rocco will go home first. Jeffrey definately! :upsidedow

I love Misty May. DH and DS both have secret crushes on her. ;)

BUT.....
Am I the only one who thought she looked like a Drag Queen out there?!?!?!?!?!:lmao:

I thought Cheryl's face looked really round. I thought Susan Lucci would be so much better, she performs with Regis so she has worked before a live audience, she did "Annie Get Your Gun" on Broadway too. She has looked too thin for about 5 years. She has a lot of fans so she'll be around for awhile.

I think there are several that have a good chance to improve. I think we got spoiled because there were so many really good ones last season. If Jeffery goes first I will really miss Edyta's outfits. He probably has the fewest fans so he could get the axe tonight.

This is my sentiment exactly!

I'd like to see Jeffrey and Ted go first. I think Rocco will stay just because he has more of a following, I'd guess, than Ted. Has he been on anything in the past 10 years?

I thought so many of them did great. It was surprising for a first show.

It's also funny how short this show is when you DVR it and cut out all the commercials. Right now, I'm hoping Lance goes all the way to the top!

I told my DD last night, "Well, the guys won't have Edyta to look at much longer!"

They interviewed Ted on the local Orlando radio station yesterday. He was funny -- he said they sew your shirt to your underwear so it won't get "untucked"!!

And, you know ... life isn't fair after seeing Brooke and finding out she's had 4 babies!!! Wow .....

DD and I were snorting at Cloris last night -- they can't keep to their time schedule with her on there, but I applaud that she's 82 years old and can get her foot up on a desk. :rotfl2:

She was very funny! DS9 wants her to win. :lmao:

That's a good idea. :thumbsup2

.

:rotfl2: That's great!

He was surprising! I thought he would be kind of clumsy but I thought he did really well. :upsidedow

I was also surprised by Warren and thought he may be a little clumsy and heavy footed. What a great surprise. Little did I know he would be so much fun. The only way I could get my son and husband to come into the room and watch for a minute was by telling them Warren Sapp was going to be on. They were interested to see how a football player would do.

Here are my opinions from last night:

LANCE BASS: He is a good dancer, I think he will stay in the competition for a while. I look forward to see him get better each week.

TONI BRAXTON: Good first dance.

BROOKE BURKE: Flexible, but needs to be more expressive in the future.

ROCCO DISPIRITO: ok dancer, will be popular with the voters.

MAURICE GREENE: wasn't terribly impressed, but with Cheryl he will have a good chance to stay in the competition.

KIM KARDASHIAN: not sure why she was picked. She was too shy, needs to be more expressive.

CLORIS LEACHMAN: funny, in great shape. Unfortunately can only go so far in the competition.

CODY LINLEY: another good dancer, will stay for a while because of fans.

SUSAN LUCCI: disappointed in her dancing considering her background.

MISTY MAY-TREANOR : her dancing is a little "manly". They picked her the right partner to bring out the best in her.

TED MCGINLEY : will be voted out the first 1-2 weeks.

EFFREY ROSS : same as above.

WARREN SAPP: great personality and musicality. Will make it far.

loved Lance, Warren, Cloris - thought Misty looked a little stiff out there. Not very graceful.

Emmitt Smith was a football player, and he won DWTS. :thumbsup2
