Not really. Some were predicting that Warren would win.

Yeah. Sometimes I think that the country has Carrie Ann's fetish for big black men. Whether they can really dance or not.

I think that America likes an underdog who is a showman. That fits Warren to a "tee".

I am very happy with the results. I think that Brooke was wonderful and I really liked her last dance. She was missing "something" in the last two weeks but there was nothing missing from tonight's dance. It was perfect in every way. I really wish that Lance was 2nd as I liked both him and his partner ... but Brooke has always been better and I am happy with the winner.

I am happy Brooke one, but sad that Lance came in third. I really thought they did great, esp the last few weeks.

Brooke's dance tonight made me cry.

I really enjoyed this season, but then again I am easy to please.

THIS show is about popularity. IIRC you always liked the other dance shows better. So ... where should we go now that DWTS is finished?

Lacey should have realized from her time on SYTYCD that the team that does hip hop goes home. Their dance was good but there wasn't the wow factor of the lifts, especially following Brooke's dance. I was underwhelmed with their freestyle. Here was the chance to throw out the rules and do anything amazing and they didn't do anything amazing.

I think the best dancers won. They started out good and were on top 9 of 11 weeks, they deserved it. I think Warren got a lot of the popular votes, but he was not a good technician. L&L, didn't like them at first, I was impressed that they scaled back the individual BS and did some true dances, they were good, but not as good as B&D.

OMG, what am I going to do now on Monday nights? This is the only network show I watch, unless there is a good football game on.

like it was all about her! I liked them all along but that irritated me when she did that,

hi...i'm just here to comiserate. i was all about lance and lacey. although the show isn't over yet, i can see where this is going, and i suspect that dullard, clumsy-footed, "i turn in when i'm crossing over my left foot" brooke will win.

I'm pleased with the outcome- I think the best overall dancers won. Personality wise I liked Warren better than Brooke, but she was a better dancer. And Derek totally 100% deserved it- that guy is AMAZING.

I hate that Derek won. I think it will go to his head, and he will become so self-centered that no one will be able to stand him next season

Was really pulling for Lance and Lacey after these last couple of weeks so disappointed with their 3rd place finish. Can't complain about Brooke winning though, she was so consistent and very good.

However, I don't get why everyone has such a problem with Lacey, when Derek is just as bad. He was cutting Brooke off left and right last night and making the whole moment about him. I don't blame them though, in many cases I think the pros are bigger celebrities than their partners and they do the show season after season. Of course they want to win badly. Edyta must be dying for a Trophy after 7 straight seasons. Going forward it is going to be very interesting to see this show develop now that the pros are such larger than life personalities.

I agree. They had a bunch of really wet blankets this season. For me, part of it was that the pros that I really enjoy got booted or had to leave early.

Did you notice how Derek took the trophy first and wouldn't give it up for the longest time? Mark also picked him up first - a good bit before Corky picked up Brooke. It's Dancing With the STARS, Derek! I usually give him a pass because he's Julianne's brother. But he definitely got on my nerves last season with Shannon.

I also had to giggle when they showed Brooke's husband (or boyfriend?) sobbing like a little baby. Full out chin quivering! Yes, the dance was sweet, but the full on tears were a little much for me. After she won he was standing there like, Brooke, aren't you going to make it over to me and give me a hug or kiss?
