Official Dancing With the Stars: Season 19

Sadie-beautiful dance.

While I am getting a bit tired of the DD brigade...
Which dance is to be like "making love on the dance floor". I recall one of the Latin dances being described as such and am wondering if if is this one.

To contrast it with the Daisy duke dance--a lot of her more sensual moves (that I recall) were solo whereas this dance is more up close and personal. Carrie Ann just mentioned Age Appropriate and that is key. The nonsense of the other dances wasn't needed--but this dance seems to be one of a couple where parental input over what the minor is doing is critical.

Agreed. And I'll also add that I love the DD brigade!

I've always hated the DWTS rhumbas--they have featured two half-naked dancers rubbing up against each other with little to no actual dancing. I usually like Sadie's dances but I didn't hers last night. She seemed stiff and very *careful* to me last night. I did like Mark's choreography in the dance but just not her execution.

I do have to say that her grandmother Chrys looked AWESOME, especially as someone born in 1953. Sadie has some good genes on her mom's side of the family.

OK, this might be an unpopular opinion, but OMG producers, Duck Dynasty team, or whoever continues to beat us over the head with the "sheltered little Christian girl" thing- we get it. That horse is dead- you can stop beating it. If her family has to go over every little dance move Sadie does, maybe they shouldn't have let her do the show in the first place.

The moves in that Rumba were much more modest than her bump and grind western jazz routine (where she wore tiny Daisy Dukes). Just let her dance speak for itself and stop fishing for the "family values" crowd vote. It is getting old.

I actually liked her dance and think she might go all the way to the finals. But I would like the over the top butting in by her family to stop ( or at least not hear about it each and every week).

Exactly! She seems like a sweet girl and is a beautiful dancer, but all these "I have to check with my dad" scenes are so obviously scripted and just designed to rile up the Duck fans for ratings. She's 17! I don't care what religion (or not) she follows, some "dance" moves are inappropriate for a minor to perform with a 28 year old man. Just choreograph appropriately and shut up about it, please!

And hi hope you don't mind me jumping in during week 6. I haven't been able to read the whole thread to catch up, but what do you all think of Janel's score last night? Granted, she wasn't perfect, but I think she was robbed! Pit Bull gave her and Michael both 7s? Then Sadie a 10, if I'm remembering right? What the heck? Worst guest judge ever, IMO.

No worries! And you are right, he was the worst judge ever. I hated the opening number with a white hot passion with all the pros bumping and grinding on him. Yuck.

I don't think Janel was robbed. And though Pitbull stunk as a judge, he had a point about the passion being absent. Her dance last week was so awful that I think Val had her ease up a bit to come across as classy and not trashy. She just needed a little more.

The top two in points pick the teams. It was Alfonso and Bethany. This year the pros couldn't be in the room and tell their partners who to pick. Bethany picked Val and Mike Waltrip, that's who I remember anyway.

I agree.

Also, I saw some rehearsal footage that DWTS posted and it showed that Derek said he wanted to go totally intense, no humor at all with their dance rather than having 3 serious parts and funny Michael. It is going to be intense the whole way through.

I think the other team will also be at a disadvantage with Tommy having to learn two dances. He has trouble remembering the steps to the one dance he does with Peta. The group dances always seem overwhelming to me anyway with keeping the moves right. I think he will be lost.

I believe because it's getting harder on him to travel back and forth between the two shows. He also does the UK one
