A little backlash going on! I think Amy is a good dancer. Her lines are great, she has really good frame and movement through her core, her musicality is there, and for an athlete she's amazing at capturing the emotions of the dances. Her balance is phenomenal, what she is doing is equivalent to dancing on a high wire.

It's kind of an exciting season, no clue who will make it to the finals. It's a possibility that Meryl won't, and that would be a shame. I see lots of fans for Candace and Charlie around the web. Will be interesting!

DWTS isn't truly a competition, it's a show for entertainment. It's entertaining and not the Olympics.

Absolutely! There are way too many factors involved in the judging/voting for it to be a true competition to determine who the best "star" dancer is.

They could do a compulsory competition where everyone has to perform the same routine to the same music, but I don't think there would be many viewers, at least not for long.

No, I don't. Meryl is the best dancer. But Candace seems more popular at this point, I'm thinking there might be an upset. I think Charlie and Meryl might be splitting votes, and Charlie is more likable.

I don't think Charlie is more likable.. plus think of the voting group... mostly women.. I think Maks pulls more votes than Charlie.

Maybe, but I kind of think the most people are voting for the stars, not the pros. The show has been on a long time. I used to vote because I liked a certain pro (always voted for Lacey, usually for Derek), but I got over that. And I'm a woman.

Chuckers, I agree with you. I think Charlie is definitely likable but I find his dances far more forgettable than Meryl's. I actually thought he might be in danger of going home this past week. I don't know if it is a factor of his super short pre-dance rehearsal packages or the choreography or what but I find myself thinking "Oh, right, and Charlie" almost every week when they recap the dances. I think he had a great week this week so he should make it to the finals but if I had to guess, I'd say he is getting less votes than Meryl.

Of course, I am not in the figure skating fandom world and from what I have heard in bits and pieces this season, Davis and White fans love, love, love, love Charlie so they could make up the difference.

Last year they had 4 dancers going into the finals week. There were 2 shows that week with the 4 dancers in the first show and 3 dancers in the second and final show.
