So, I had to rewind my DVR at the end. Amy went in for a hug with Meryl and it looked like Meryl dissed her. I'm sure it was not as it looked.

Wow! I did not know that. Derek really is an amazing choreographer. I'm sure he is behind so many dance productions. He doesn't toot his own horn when it comes to that sort of thing.

Yay!!!!! I am so happy! I was running behind on the DVR and had to turn it off to watch live even though I was almost too nervous to watch it live. My only complaint? There wasn't more time at the end. Why do they always pack so much junk into this episode and leave us with seconds to celebrate the win?

They just did the story on the news here in the Detroit area and interviewed her coach. She emphasized that in ice dancing they learn two routines and do them for the entire season. DWTS they learn on average two dances a week and they perform them once and move on to something different the next day.

I just went back to take a look. Wow! Ah, yeah, I would say it was a definite dis. Amy had an arm around her & Meryl loked down & put the mirror ball between them. You could see Amy being displeased as she took her arm away.

And, at the end, did she say something like "And on behalf of myself, Mel B, & Kirstie Alley, we thank you..." or something like that?

Yes, Erin went on to say thanks for all the tweets or something like that, that they did for the show.

Yes. They feel passion but not love. They aren't planning their lives together. They are all professionals and they know exactly what they need to do. If not... Gross. Means they love each partner, passionately, for season after season and on and on.

I agree they're (the dancers) professionals, but even professionals fall in love (costars do it all the time). And, how in the world do you come up with your last statement? I dated quite a few men, but only fell in love with my husband. Why would falling in love with one partner mean they had to have fallen in love with the others?

I watched it a couple of times. I don't know if it was intentional. Meryl was turning and maybe didn't see her? Amy put her arm out and back down pretty fast and Meryl ducked her head when Amy's arm was already going down. I'm going for a weird awkward moment and not a dis as I had not heard of any bad blood between them.

I don't live in the reality that Meryl and Maks are "in love". And I meant, sorry I didn't explain it better, PASSION with their DANCING.

Every season it's the same ol same ol. Xxx loves xxx, same story, different contestants. Maks is pretty hot with anyone he dances with.

There must be some major bad blood between them off-camera, that Meryl couldn't even pretend to be gracious at accepting a congratulatory hug.

Maybe Meryl got annoyed that Amy was able to play the Disabled Card, meanwhile, someone here said, that Meryl had two broken toes herself, but she couldn't complain as her critics would just say that at least she HAS toes, and stuff like that.

I'm with you, robin. I went back and watched and I think something happened on her other side that caught her attention and she didn't see Amy. I am also pretty sure that I heard she had depth perception/peripheral vision issues so maybe that was it. Maks and Amy shared a pretty sincere looking hug do I doubt Meryl would have some secret grudge with Amy.

Oh, Amy thought she was being dis'd in the moment. We don't know what happened even 30 seconds after though because the show was over. I hope that everything is smoothed over if Amy's feelings were hurt.

I went back & rewatched it a couple of times too & kind of took it this way as well.

It was almost like the mirror ball accidentally came between them & "interrupted" the moment & then someone else stepped in.
