Official Dancing with the Stars - All Stars

I AM SO EXCITED!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I kept waiting to hear "Shawn and Derek!" I whooped liked a fool when Tom announced it.

I love, love, love, love how excited they were. I thought Tony might pass out before he could hold the trophy!

Yay!

Sidenote 1: Why was Derek suddenly a crying mess talking about Shawn? Weird.

Sidenote 2: Did anyone else see Ann Romney or her doppleganger in the audience???

Meh. She could have been doing it plenty off camera/during commercial breaks, or during the times they cut away to show her husband and kid. just cause you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Of course anything is possible but if memory serves me it was never shown and yet most other moments between contestants and loved ones in the audience are usually shown at some point even if it is the re-cap on Tuesdays or pre-dance package etc. As I said before, to me, it was unusual.

SO thrilled! Both for them and for me that I didn't have to watch Shawn win. :rotfl2: Loved loved loved seeing the whole cast celebrate with them. Too cute.

Watching it again :goodvibes. M-M-Maks and V-V-Val jumping up and down and hugging with joy and then running out to put Tony on their shoulders. It could have been one of them saying "Holy Poop!" because Val would have still been mic'd.

I rolled my eyes when Derek "cried". You know, he is leaving DWTS to pursue acting...

So my guess is that he was turning on faux waterworks for the show. So annoying.

I'm bummed it wasn't Shawn & Derek. I'd even have taken Kelly & Val. But Melissa & Tony? :confused3 I've never gotten her appeal. Not the first time around and not this time either. I just never saw her having any charisma.

I thought it was Apolo that said it?

I don't think any of the other contestants' mics were on. Because what if one of them had said, "Oh! It should have been Shawn & Derek!" and it was caught on mic? :crazy2:

Ah, he could have said it too then. Tony was turned away from us. I just know I'd be jumping up & down saying "Holy 'poop'!" if I won.

It was definitely not Apolo. His mouth was hanging wide open and his eyes comically popped out while someone else was yelling "Holy poop!".

ETA: I have to give Derek some props. He was the one who picked Melissa up on his shoulders and he has the herniated disc in his neck. He certainly was not a poor loser.

Very true. That was good of him.

I also noticed that those Chmerkoviskys pushed him out of there for the final shoulder hoisting. Val grabbed Melissa and Maks had Tony. I love me some shirtless, pushy Russian dancers. :rotfl:

Here's what I think - either Melissa being relatively new to the broadcast world yet working as a professional in it is aware of the time constraints and is respectful of them by not running over after her dances and the visiting is done off camera.

Or

The baby is right at the separation anxiety age and maybe seeing mom run over, give her a kiss, and run away would set her off so it's better for mom and dad and baby to save it for when they can all be together.

I actually find it annoying week after week when the stars have to run to their families as Tom is trying to call them over to keep the show on time. An occasional ending of the dance that arrives at the family is ok but I don't like the time wasting I have to be with my family now instead of participate in the show stuff. It's live tv and they have to keep it moving along.

Yay, I think they are the happiest that anyone has ever been to win, and so is the rest of the cast.

Totally! Tony was dying!! I loved it!

good for them! :thumbsup2

I think Val and Maks were as happy as Tony!!!

Loved how the guys all hoisted Tony up! Finally, he has a winner!

:cool1::cool1::cool1: YAY :cool1::cool1::cool1:

They were sooooo HAPPY! The joy on their faces, I watched it 4 times.

I loved when Tom said "now they have one too" and Melissa was so surprised. What a great way for the season to end.

Watching GMA this morning -- Tony & Melissa are still riding on Cloud 9!!! :cloud9::cloud9:

I am not a Melissa fan; however, she doesn't need appeal or charisma -- she just needs to know how to dance, and that she does. Kelly is the one with no appeal or charisma for me. And her dancing was not as good as Melissa, or Shawn.

....while I'm estatic that Kelly didn't win and although I'm glad that Tony FINALLY won, in my heart, I truly believe that Shawn should have won and that Derek ruined it for her with that one dance that they were penalized....
